After I have finished giving Belladonna the new enchantment I head to Daigon Alley. I go to the potions store and grab a Mandrake Restorative Draught as well as a mandrake leaf. Today I will give Gil a little brother.
I use the floo powder network to get home, once the green flames fade I see Uncle in the kitchen cooking and Auntie reading on the couch.
"Ah, Soren, you're back," Auntie says putting down the book with a smile.
"I'm home," I say with a grin.
"What did you need?" Auntie asks looking at my Mokeskin bag on my waist.
My grin widens as I pull out the potion, "It's a secret."
Auntie's eyes narrow, "Alright, dinner will be done soon."
I nod as I start walking up the stairs, "I'll be done by then. Hi Uncle!" I yell into the kitchen as I jog up the stairs.
"Good evening!" Uncle yells back as I reach the room to my door.
Opening the door I see Gilg sleeping on top of Sin causing me to grin. As I enter the room Sin slips out from under Gilg and slips around my arm claiming his spot around my neck.
I smile seeing Gilg flick his tongue in protest. I pick him up and stroke his small head with a finger.
"Let's get you that brother."
I calmly sit on my bed and pull out a book and an egg, 'How to become an Animagus in 8 steps' and the fairly large egg with the petrified toad.
Putting the book to the side I set the egg in front of me and pull out the restorative draught. I gently pour a few drops of the draught onto the frog.
Pointing my wand at the frog I freeze it in place and wait. Not even ten seconds later the egg begins to crack and I see a green tail with barbs flick out. Once the egg fully hatches I toss the frog to the side and pick up the freshly born basilisk.
Its eyes are deep yellow with a green glow and pitch-black pupils. The basilisk meets my eyes as it flicks its tongue at me with what seems like a grin. Even though the basilisk is freshly born I can feel my magic fluctuating oddly as we meet eyes.
I sigh as I pull out a small black cloth and tear a thin sliver off. I wrap it around its small head covering its eyes but the green glow can still be seen through it.
I pick him up again, "You will have to wear this until you are able to control your eyes okay?"
It seems to nod understanding me, "You are quite a smart one aren't you?" Seemingly getting jealous Gilg slithers onto my leg looking up at me.

I use a finger to pet his head as well, "Of course you are too."
The newborn basilisk has rough, jagged scales, with a spiked tail, "Your name shall be Enkidu, Enki for short." I nod to myself amazed at my own naming sense.
Enki seems happy with the name as he coils in my hand keeping his barbs from cutting me.
I raise them both to my shoulders, "Sin can you hold them for a bit?"
Sin gently picks them up and sets them on my shoulders. He even wraps them up a bit to keep them from falling. Like that, I walk out of my room and head downstairs to help set the table for dinner.
Uncle turns to me with an arm full of plates, seeing the two snakes on my shoulders he gives me an odd look. He looks at Auntie in the kitchen who is now staring at me with a 'really' look.
I smirk at their expressions, "Auntie, Uncle, this is Enkidu, Gilg's, little brother."
Auntie sighs as she goes back to gathering the food, "You are really thinking about making a zoo aren't you?"
Grabbing the stack of silverware I shrug, "I couldn't have Gilg getting lonely, I'm planning on introducing them to Luar tomorrow morning."
"The breeder said that Imoogi can get quite large, you'll need a place to put him eventually," Uncle says with a small smile.
"Yeah, Enki will get pretty big as well," I say my words off-handedly but draw the gaze of both Auntie and Uncle.
I quickly finish laying out the silverware and change the subject, "So is Sis coming home? I noticed that you set a plate out for her."
Uncle thankfully lets me change the subject, "She should be home anytime now," as he finishes his words I hear the door open behind me.
I raise a hand as I turn around, "Nice to see you home Sis."
Sis closes the door behind her but doesn't take her eyes off me, "When did this happen?" She asks pointing between Gilg and Enki.
Auntie sighs as she sets the food on the table, "We got him the white one from Korea. The other one popped up a few minutes ago, no idea where he got it."
"This is Gilgamesh, and this is Enkidu," I say gesturing at each. They both nod their heads like the smart boys they are.
She looks between the two before looking back at Auntie, "You got him a snake."
Uncle holds up a finger, "It's an Imoogi, a sacred serpent."
"YOU GOT HIM A DRAGON?!" Sis basically yells towards Uncle.
Auntie and Uncle look taken aback, "N-no it's a serpent," Uncle says unsure as he and Auntie exchange a few looks.
Sis rubs her temples as she sits in the seat next to me so I sit as well. She takes a few breaths as she looks at Gilgamesh who is staring at her curiously.
"They are categorized as 'Eastern Dragons' but are called 'Inferior Dragons' as they have a large chance to never learn to fly at all."
Uncle sits across from me as he speaks up, "So, are they illegal to own?"
Sis lets out a long sigh "No, they are incredibly rare even in Korea, most eastern dragons have no restrictions as they are too hard to get. How did you even get one in Great Britain?"
Auntie finally sits down putting the tongs on the plate of chicken, "We got him from a nice Shaman while on vacation in Korea. We had to order him three months in advance, they dropped him off in the dead of night just yesterday."
Sis puts her hands up in defeat as she starts plating her food, "Not my problem."
I continue to rub Gilg's head to comfort him as my eyes meet Aunties, "We aren't getting rid of him."
I hold Gilg defensively as Auntie sighs, "Of course, he is a good boy after all," she says reaching across the table petting his head with a finger.
Finally grabbing my own food I look at Sis, "So how was work?"
She grunts as she sets down her fork, "Well we just got more guards for Azkaban so that is fine. But that damned fog around Little Hangleton, it won't go away and you can't use magic on it or in it. It's a mess, we just gave up and quarantined the town until further notice."
My eyes go wide as I look down at my food, 'Fuck I forgot about that.'
