In the morning I head to breakfast to meet up with Hermione and Theo. Just as I expected, Theo and Hermione are talking at the Gryffindor table so I join them.
"Morning," I say as I sit down next to Hermione.
"Good morning," the two say in unison.
"What's that?" I ask looking at the stopwatch in Hermione's hand.
She gives me a happy smile as she shows it to me, "It's a time turner, Professor McGonagall gave it to me so I could attend all my classes. She said to tell you that it's fine if you use it as well."
I hold up my hands, "No thanks, I'd rather not be in class that much, I'll just deal with the extra homework."
Theo laughs at my words, "I told you he would say so."
My brows raise at him, "Are you going to use it as well?"
Theo shrugs, "Sometimes, I only have two classes that overlap so it wouldn't be that bad."
My eyes move back to Hermione, "Is he on your team?"
Hermione nods, "Him and Daphne."
"Ron and Harry won't be happy."
"Hmph, they would only use me anyway," she says pouting.
"Speaking of, where is Daphne?"
"She is searching for the path leading to the rising sun."
My eyes narrow at the two, "I thought I said come get me why doing things with the vaults."
Theo holds up his hands defensively, "She is a smart girl, she is only looking for the path, she won't go in."
I sigh, "Next time tell me."
Hermione and Theo nod but Hermione speaks up, "What if you are with someone else when we want to look?"
"Speak to my assistant, he can help."
Theo looks confused but I stand up seeing my assistant step into the hall, "I'll be right back."
Standing up I grab my suitcase from my side and walk towards the teacher's table. Seeing Charlie sit next to Aurora I grin, my grin widens seeing her wearing a large sapphire necklace.
I set the suitcase on the table as I look at Charlie, "Morning Professor Weasley, here are my animals for the day, feel free to use them in class. Avoid One, Three, and Oliver, they were really moody yesterday. Oh, and don't touch the black door, it has personal stuff in it. "
Charlie gives me a small smile and nods as he takes the suitcase, "Thank you, Soren."

I notice Charlie bend down to put the suitcase by his feet expecting me to leave but I don't. Instead, I turn to Professor Aurora with a teasing grin.
"Good morning professor Aurora."
"Good morning, Soren," She appears a bit confused at my greetings but I continue.
"That's a very beautiful necklace, whoever got it must have very good taste."
I see her cheeks tinge dark as she looks down at her drink, "I-I got it for myself." I smile at her lie as I look at Charlie who's face is dyed red, being so pale must be rough.
"I see, well, have a good day professors." I exchange a look between the blushing pair as I walk back to the table.
Hermione is nearly squealing looking at the pair behind me while Theo is laughing. "Did you have to tease them?" he asks as I get close.
I shrug, "I like giving small shoves."
"They are so cute together," Hermione says excitedly.
I nod, "They make a good pair." As I sit down I grab some food since I haven't eaten yet.
"Are you really going to muggle studies?" I ask Hermione a little confused.
She looks at me oddly, "Why wouldn't I?"
"Well, you went to muggle school up until now so I was thinking it's a bit weird. Out of all the classes that are okay to miss that is definitely it."
"Are you not going to go? Ever?"
I shake my head, "Why would I? It's a free O. I'll probably go to Arithmancy since it is the most difficult."
My eyes widen as I feel someone trying to intrude into my mind. Before my thoughts are leaked I push them out as my eyes flick towards the main hall doors.
With a quick stride, I see Snape walking in with his chin raised and his eyes glaring at me.
I smirk as he is about to pass us, "Good morning Professor."
He stops behind me with a calm nod, "Mr. Black, still in good form I see."
My grin turns a bit snide, "I always keep my guard up."
Snape scoffs, "We will see this year."
"We will…"
"Good morning, House Master," Theo says with a polite tone.
Snape's eyes linger on Theo, "Mr. Nott… Sitting in the Gryffindor area I see. How is your father?"
Theo gives a smile, "Much better since deciding to stay in England."
Snape seems surprised as his eyes flick to me, I nod and he seemingly understands.
"How… exciting. Here I thought I was going to lose my best potion maker in my house." Snape speaks in a bland tone that starkly contrasts his words.
Seeing that Theo doesn't know how to respond he throws his outer robe around himself, "I expect to see all three of you in class. Punctually."
Hermione seems surprised but all three of us nod, "Of course professor."
As he gets out of earshot Hermione turns to me quickly, "I still can't believe you are close with that man. He is so… Creepy?"
"Oh, what a shallow opinion Hermione. If you would get to know him he is quite alright, complicated, but alright."
Theo seems just as surprised at my words as Hermione, "She isn't wrong Soren, other than you I can't think of a single person he treats well."
I shrug, "He and Dumbledore are quite close."
From behind me I hear a voice, "They are more like a knight and king than friends."
Turning around I see a tired Ron and a fairly normal Harry coming to sit down next to me.
I tilt my head with a wry grin thinking of his words, "Yeah, that's pretty true. I can't really argue against that."
Hermione looks at the duo scrupulously, "Why are you two coming down just now? Class started in fifteen minutes."
Harry reaches forward grabbing some ham and bread, "I'm hungry."
Looking at Hermione with a 'Duh' look I speak up, "You know, I could have guessed that."
Hermione rolls her eyes as she stands up, "Ugh, boys. I'm going to class, I'll see you there. Theodore, are you coming?"
Theo stands up with a nod, "Wait, you know Theo is a guy as well?" I ask with a joking tone.
Theo smirks at my words but Hermione rolls her eyes again as she walks away. Theo waves as he walks by on his way to divination.
"What's bit her butt?" Ron asks as he shovels eggs into his mouth.
I give him a wry smile as I pat his back, "I'm going to class as well, I'll see you guys at transfiguration."
Harry turns around, "Wait you aren't going to Divination?"
I nod, "Well I guess I am going to a form of divination, but this one involves complex math and is really boring. Yours is really easy and boring so I'm just going to do the homework and tests. Anyway, I don't wanna be late on the first day of class, cya."
Ron doesn't look up as he is digging into food and just waves while Harry gives a bye quickly trying to finish his food.
