Chapter9:SpecialShootingArts
Ok, now that we're all here, Lily, could you tell us what you found in its memory?" Bhim asked Lily.
Lily nodded in acknowledgement of Bhim's words. "As it wasn't a very intelligent creature, it only had a few memories. I wasn't able to find any information about what happened four months ago. Two months ago, it was a regular rank-3 crawler and lived with a horde under the leadership of a rank-4 crawler. But one day, a large-scale earthquake destroyed all their underground shelters, and they had to live on the surface."
"After a few days, all the monsters on this Planet sensed some kind of energy being generated, which started to attract them. They all went towards the area where the energy was being generated and met with a lot of different types of monsters. They, too, were attracted to the energy, which led to a large-scale fight between the monsters. After that, a lot of the remaining monsters decided to leave the cave to save their lives, but there was still a portion of monsters who decided to continue going towards the energy."
"After some time, everything became blank, which deactivated my spell forcefully and led to a backlash towards me," Lily said with a serious expression.
After hearing Lily's explanation, all team members made weird faces as if they had heard something odd. "So basically, you didn't find anything useful," Bhim said.
"Yes," Lily responded, bringing her head down in shame.
"There's no need for you to feel ashamed. It's not your fault, so cheer up," Bhim said, trying to console her.
After that, Lily's mood improved somewhat, and she took some recovery solutions to recover from the backlash.
"Guys, let's go. We don't have much time on our hands," Bhim said, urging them forward.

Five hours later, Bhim commanded his team to take some rest. They were in front of one of the cave entrances located on the maps given by the department.
Even though they were guided by Mark to avoid fighting with the monsters, their journey was not relaxing at all. They had to fight between 12 to 15 times with monsters that were on the same level or higher than the first one they faced.
After fighting all those monsters, they had to take some time to recover their mana and strength so that they could be at their best before entering the tunnel. During the fights, they confirmed that all of them were led by a rank-3 monster that had somehow evolved due to the energy.
So, they were all resting outside the cave entrance. Bhim reported all the information they had gathered to their higher command to get permission to continue or abort the mission. The higher-ups commanded him to continue forward and asked him to report immediately if they noticed any abnormal things.
Bhim then informed all his team members of the higher-up's command.
“Those bastards didn’t even send any backups. I swear, if anything happens to us, I will kill them,” Jerry said frustratedly.
“Keep your cool, Jerry. You already knew that they are also bound by the rules,” Mark replied to Jerry.
All the team members were either discussing among themselves or meditating to recover their mana, except for Jason, who was sitting on a rock a few meters away from his teammates.
He was currently reading about all the stages of the special shooting art, also known as arma de demise.
It was one of the best special shooting arts available at the department, which is why Jason was eager to learn more about it.
The art had a total of 7 levels of mana circulation techniques, and learning the 1st level enabled the first stage of the art. Similarly, after completely learning the 7th level, one could enable the last stage of the art.
Each different stage enabled new types of attacks, with the 1st stage enabling two attacks - one for subjugation and the other to kill the opponent.
The subjugation attack had the power to safely subjugate any opponent below rank 3, while the killing attack had the power to kill an early-rank 3 and had chances to injure a mid-rank 3.
Except for the 7th stage, all the stages had the same types of attacks but had different power levels as per stage.
In the 7th stage, there was only one attack that was only used to kill the opponent, and the attack was also known as a Demise shot or death shot, as it could easily kill an early rank 10 being but that was just a rumour.
After reading the information, Jason was surprised as the art was much more powerful than he thought. However, he also got depressed as learning this art would be much harder than he initially anticipated. The more powerful an art was, the harder it was to learn it.
Nonetheless, he was satisfied with the knowledge he had gained and thought that after completing this mission, he would give Jerry something more than he promised.
After all the team members recovered their mana, Bhim decided that it was time they went inside the cave. "Let’s get inside, guys," Bhim commanded his team, and then they all took their positions as they stepped inside the cave.
Jason closed the information about the art on his watch, knowing that even if he tried, he would not be able to use even the first level. Even the most talented people needed at least 1 to 2 months of practice to perform the first step, which is why he decided to focus on the mission.
The space inside the cave was spacious, which was helpful to them as they could fight freely while maintaining their formation. As they went deeper inside the cave, it started to get darker and darker, and eventually, they had to turn on their flashlights.
After some time, multiple paths started to emerge, but with the help of Mark and the route they had explored with the drones, they were able to maintain the right path. However, the odd thing they noticed was that even after 30 to 40 minutes, they hadn't encountered any monsters, which was quite unusual.
When the drones were sent to explore first, they faced a monster within the first few minutes after they went inside.
“Guys, I will report it to the higher-ups if this continues for another 15-20 minutes," Bhim said.
“There is no need to report it; something is approaching us very quickly," Mark responded.
