Chapter 49: Aftermath Final Part
As the team mourned the loss of Jason and grappled with their grief, Archimedes' next words pierced through their sorrow, jolting them out of their collective mourning.
"But there is something more," Archimedes began, his voice carrying a sense of urgency. "Jason's sacrifice has not been in vain. He sacrificed his life so that you can live so don’t show such a weakness as things going to change very quickly"
Bhim, feeling a mix of curiosity and concern, interrupted, "What do you mean by things going to change? What change are you talking about?"
Archimedes raised his hand, requesting their patience. "Before I reveal further details, please listen attentively and refrain from interrupting me until I have finished."
The team nodded, acknowledging the gravity of the situation. They resolved to give Archimedes their undivided attention.
"As I observed the unfolding events," Archimedes began, "what if I told you that those whom you were working for had prior knowledge of the imminent occurrences? Furthermore, what if I revealed that Jason's and your other friend's deaths were indirectly influenced by external forces?"
Jerry's anger boiled over, and he shouted, "I knew it! Those bastards were hiding something significant! I won't rest until I have exacted revenge on each and every one of them."
Archimedes shot Jerry a reproachful look, reminding him not to interrupt. "Apologies, I won't make that mistake again," Jerry said, chastened.
Archimedes continued, explaining, "As you know, this is not my original body, and my memories are limited. I cannot physically attack anyone or leave this place unless provoked."
"But you, on the other hand, possess the capability to act. I offer you power beyond your wildest imaginations. With it, you can not only seek revenge but also gain profound knowledge and elevate your planet to new heights."
He presented them with a contract for a soul bond, cautioning that breaking it would result in their immediate demise, ensuring their silence. "Consider your decision carefully. There is no pressure to join. The choice is yours. However, remember that everything you know will be altered if you accept. If you do, we can discuss our future plans."
“Also, even if you don’t accept it things will change from what I deluding from the situation”
"You have five minutes before they arrive here, so make your decision within that time," Archimedes concluded, his tone serious.
Bhim sought clarification, asking, "If I choose to accept, what sacrifices must I make, and what do you gain from helping us?"

Archimedes replied firmly, "You must be prepared to sacrifice everything if it comes to that. As for my benefit, I seek your assistance in enabling my escape from this place, as I, too, yearn to discover my true self."
Bhim's next question was laden with gravity. "Did Jason know about the changes you speak of before he died?"
"No," Archimedes responded. "He made the ultimate sacrifice solely to protect his planet and its people."
Jerry had one last question. "Regarding the people you mentioned, the ones responsible for these events, do you know them? Are they good or bad?"
Archimedes hesitated slightly before answering, "Among them, there are both good and bad individuals, but the majority lean towards the sinister side. I am uncertain, as my deductions are based on fragmented memories"
“Also I never met or know about any of them I was just using my mind to make a guess”
He concluded with a solemn statement. "Ultimately, the choice to, believe me, lies with you."
Lily, wanting to gauge her chances of avenging Jason, inquired, "If I choose to sign the agreement, what are the odds of seeking justice for Jason?"
Archimedes didn't mince his words. "I won't deceive you. If you manage to survive long enough to become as powerful as those individuals, the likelihood of attaining revenge stands at around 60%."
A mischievous smile played upon Archimedes' face as he finished speaking, leaving the team with a weighty decision to make.
"I will sign it," Lily declared confidently. Immediately after Archimedes finished speaking, Lily accepted his offer, fuelled by her desire for revenge against Jason and her gratitude for his earlier act of saving her life.
As Lily finished speaking, Jerry also chose to accept the offer, though his reasons remained unknown to the rest of the group. With Lily and Jerry on board, Bhim and Suzzy were the only ones left contemplating their decision.
"I'm sorry, guys, but I have to reject it," Suzzy finally announced, breaking the silence. "I'm not ready to sacrifice everything in my life. I hope you can understand."
"We understand, Suzzy. There's no pressure on you. Ultimately, it's your life and your choice," Bhim responded, while Lily and Jerry nodded silently, their disappointment evident on their faces.
"As for me, I will join you guys. It would be shameful to leave you alone on this journey," Bhim continued, bringing a sense of relief to Lily and Jerry, who had silently disagreed with Suzzy's decision. However, before fully accepting, Bhim had one final question.
"Before we proceed, can you tell me at least one of the changes you mentioned earlier?"
Archimedes smirked and replied, "Even if I reveal all the details, it won't harm me. If I don't tell you, you'll find out soon enough in a few days."
"But before we continue," Archimedes added, his voice filled with authority, "let me take care of one thing." In a blink of an eye, Archimedes disappeared from his previous position and reappeared in front of Suzzy, catching her just as she began to lose consciousness.
"What have you done to her?" Bhim demanded, his voice tinged with anger.
"Don't worry," Archimedes reassured, "I've merely cast a spell on her. She will forget everything related to this matter. Please place her in one of the rooms, and we can proceed."
Concerned yet helpless, Bhim gently laid Suzzy on the ground and found an empty room to move her into. The group remained on edge, eager to understand Archimedes' plans and worried about the repercussions of Suzzy's memory loss.
"Now that all of you are here, where should I start?" Archimedes pondered aloud. "Hmm... wait a minute. Wouldn't it be better to show you rather than tell you? Follow me." With those words, he returned to his previous demeanour.
Intrigued and curious, the group followed Archimedes, eager to see what he had in store for them. The air crackled with anticipation as they wondered what awaited them on this mysterious journey.
Amidst the unfolding events, elsewhere, an unconscious human floated in a state of ambiguity. At first glance, it was unclear whether he was alive or dead, for he showed no signs of breathing. However, just as the thought of his demise began to take hold, his eyelids stirred.
Slowly, with each passing second, the eyelids quivered, as if engaged in a fierce struggle to open. After what felt like an eternity, the eyes finally parted, revealing their gaze.
Yet, to everyone's astonishment, the view presented was entirely white. Not even a hint of darkness could be discerned within them.
