Chapter 15: Too Weak?

Then he pointed his sword towards the big wolf. "You're next," he said while blue blood dripped from his hair.

Finally, the wolf got on his feet and stood in front of him.

Jason heard a voice in his head. "You are too weak to even injure me."

For a moment, Jason was bewildered after hearing something directly in his mind other than his voice.

He thought it was his own voice ringing inside his mind, but then he heard the voice again.

"Why are you so stunned, boy?"

Jason looked at the face of the wolf and nervously asked, "You can speak?".

"Not only can I speak, but I can also read everything that you are thinking in your head," replied the wolf.

Jason heard the voice of the wolf inside his head again.

"What are you?" Jason asked inside his mind to check if the wolf could really read his thoughts.

"Shouldn't your question be what will happen to you? Hahahaha," the wolf replied in his mind.

Jason was scared for a moment when he realized the wolf could really read his thoughts, but he quickly got a hold of himself.

He looked at the wolf carefully this time. It was even bigger than the elephants he had on his planet, with teeth bigger than his arm and claws half the height of him.

Now that he looked carefully at the wolf, he realized that the wolf was much stronger than him, but he didn't want to show fear.

He maintained direct eye contact with the wolf.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

"So what if you're bigger? I can still slash you," Jason said.

"Oh really?"

Then the wolf passed directly through Jason's body, as if he wasn't even standing there.

"Now what?" Jason took a few moments to realize what had happened.

"What should I do now? He can even pass through me. It wasn't enough that he was much bigger and could shoot a beam through his mouth," Jason thought to himself.

If the wolf could pass through his weapon and body, then how could he possibly hurt him?

"Don't think too much or it will hurt your brain. Let me suggest something," said the wolf.

"I won't use the passing technique or my beam.

You only have to hurt me a little bit. Even a scratch will be enough.

If you can do that, I will not only help you, but will also answer all your questions.

But if you fail, not only will you die, but the young woman lying there will also join you."

At that time, Jason gulped a mouthful of saliva due to nervousness.

"Now tell me, what will you choose? Will you give me a chance or will you die without fighting?" the wolf asked Jason.

At this time, Jason didn't want to become stubborn. He knew that the wolf was toying with him and might not stand true to his words.

Jason didn't have any choice at this time. Even if he thought about running, he had to leave Lily, but he didn't want to do that.

Only the most disgusting people leave to save their own lives in exchange for the lives of others.

"I will choose to fight," Jason said to the wolf. He wasn't the type of person who would choose to die without putting up a fight.

Just when Jason said his words, the wolf's tail smashed into him, sending him flying backwards like a bullet.

Jason crashed into a tree, but it wasn't able to stop him. He broke through the tree and crashed into another one, but that didn't stop him either.

Finally, the sixth tree made him stop. Jason got on his knees as blood trickled down his mouth and many parts of his body hurt like hell.

Jason felt that 10 to 15 bones had been broken, but even in that state, he stood on his feet.

He then cleaned the blood on his lips using his torn sleeves.

“You attacked me without any warning. Is this how you want to play?” Jason said, his rage evident.

“Hahahaha. Did I ever tell you that we will fight when you get ready? Boy, this is the jungle. You should be thanking me that I even give you a chance. But look at you, blaming others for your fault,” the wolf replied while shaking its head from left to right, expressing its disappointment in Jason.

Jason knew that what the wolf said was entirely right; if the wolf wanted, it could kill him. He wasn't able to do anything.

The reason Jason got so enraged was not that he got sneak attacked, but that he wasn't able to sense it, which indirectly told him the difference between them.

There is a big thing that whenever you get beaten by someone, you try to blame your opponent for your loss, even when you know that you were wrong at that moment.

That was what Jason did here. After realizing the difference between them, he got angry. He had to let out his frustration somewhere, so he blamed the wolf.

Jason then took some deep breaths to calm down his mind. After thinking for a while, he came to a conclusion.

He concluded that even if he died in this battle, he wanted it to be the best fight, so that even in his last moments, he could learn something.

If he could remember everything he had read during his early days, then maybe he could reincarnate with all his memories intact.

He could then use the knowledge he had gained in his previous life and try to become better than he was before.

Another reason was that he didn't want to regret even his last moment.

All of these things were watched by the wolf. Even when Jason was vulnerable, the wolf didn't attack and let him think so that Jason could come to a conclusion.

After Jason had finally decided on what to do, a smile bloomed on the face of the wolf, which nobody could see except for the wolf.

“Thank you,” Jason said to the wolf, showing his gratitude to the wolf, who had taught him the most important lesson.

After saying his words, Jason charged towards the wolf, but this time his formation and body posture were much better than before.

Jason slashed his sword at the wolf after getting close enough, but his attack was stopped by the wolf's claws.

The wolf attacked Jason's left side using its other claw. Jason quickly detached his sword from the double-sided sword and stopped the attack using the left sword.

At this moment, the situation was such that Jason was using both of his swords to stop the wolf's claws, while the wolf was standing on its hind legs and using its front legs to attack Jason.
