'Something rather strange has happened in the past few weeks'. Coal thought, as he woke up from his deep sleep.
Raising his head up, forcing himself to open his two sleepy eye. He poked his face out of his feather blanket which the creature had given to him to make his own nest, while still left his whole body and his black long ears covered in the warm feather blanket without a gap.
He didn't know why but he suddenly felt that way.
Or, maybe not very sudden.
He recently had a habit which he didn't even know where did it come from. But, he would always "accidently" wake up at night, started to wonder whether the reality was his dream or not.
Strange things happened very fast in the past. They gave him amazing result.
Maybe all of that was just a strange but sweet dream and he was just living in it?
And why that dream just felt so real?
He didn't know.
Continuting his routine habit. He looked through the ice substance hole near the tall 4-legged wooden object, which he usually laid on in the wooden cave and calmly observed the snowy woods from inside.
The sky was still dark but a lot of blue stars in its was shining blindingly.
In his jet-black, sparkling eyes, he saw the woods where he used to live in appeared to be made by countless of tall, black and slim trees, covered with white snow from head to toe. Some frozen rivers were lurking deep bettween, inside of the black white wall made by wood and snow, reflected colorful light while some other high mountains wore a white cap looming blurry far away inside of the gray mist trying to hid the moon from his eyes.
Looking down a little bit. He saw the ground, which was held no different from an endless white carpet. The places where the caves and tunnels he used to dig and hide inside, were fully filled with white snow. They was almost indistinguishable if he didn't focus and memorize them in advance.
Everything seemed to be eaten by the white and cold snow. Just like it always was. Nothing changed.
But suddenly thought that his formerly beloved cave where he used to live with his parent might be suffering the same fate as his cave. He couldn't help but feel a little bit down.
Still at last, he turned his head and looked behind him. He saw a small orange warm light, countless of wooden object and a lot of unrecognizable strange things that lined up near the walls.

Oh right. He was living in the big wooden cave. And he couldn't even believe that.
If he remembered correctly, since the first time he successful entered the wooden cave and blatantly plunder the food, water right in front of the thin creature's red eyes, about two or three weeks had passed. Probably, it would be almost a month if he counted from his first attempt day instead.
The winter was still a few months before its end. But Coal didn't have to worry about the food and water anymore. After all, the thin creature was living with him anyway.
He didn't know how to say it, but it was his servant at that time. He didn't know why it behaved that way, but it happened a few days after his first plunder. The creature gave him something strange and then maybe a week after or so, it let him entered its cave.
The result was right in front of his eyes. He was then living in the wooden cave, lazily ate prepared food, looked around and slept peacefully in his new beloved place or maybe his warm nest on the 4-legged wooden object. Which used to have a lot of stuff on it instead of his nest but it really wasn't matter, really. Coal would always push them down to the ground anyway.
Maybe the creature realize that it couldn't prevent him from robbing it food? And it better to live peaceful together rather than robbing and chasing each other?
He didn't care, anyway.

Crouching and jumping down from the 4-legged wooden object. Coal once again started his nightwatch around the wooden cave under the orange light.
His four legs skillfuly landed on the wooden proof under the cave like he always did, producing a hard but reasonable sound. He at the same time rolled a round before he was soon on his four legs again.
Nimbly moving himself from one shadow to another no different from a rabbit ninja, his black body emerged and imerged in the dark, heading toward the thin creature's chamber.
His shadow suddenly appeared out of nowhere but disappeared even faster than how it appeared while his jet-black eyes sparkling with blue and orange dangerously.
After passing through a few turn, he saw the place where the thin creature usually slept in.
The place was smaller than the food place but had a wooden piece attached to it to prevent anything unpermitted from coming in just like the food place. But to him, it was as if nothing was there. He had already figured out how to open it for months.
He dragged a wooden object laying near the place, using it like his new standing place and turned the knob emerging out of the wooden piece until a small click sound was heard.
Slowly pushes the wooden piece backward, he carefully enetered the thin creature's chamber through the gap he had just created.
From there, he could see clearly the chamber's inside with his eyes.
Opposite with the wooden piece, there was an ice hole in the middle of a wall which was illuminating the dark chamber with the moon's dim blue light. Dividing the chamber ino two halves, one dark and one light.
Near the wall, he could see another 4-legged wooden object but looked very difference from his one. On it, he saw the thin creature was there sleeping. Half of its body was covered in light while another half was covered in darkness.
When he came near it to check, he could hear some sad sleep talking coming from its mouth while under its eyes, he could see a few drop of water.
He stared at the sleeping creature a few more minutes, before leaving it alone after he had confirmed that it was sleeping.
He came back to his nest after a while. Watching the sky full of stars and starting thinking about what had happened in the past few weeks that leaded to his current situation.
