Coal thought his plan went well.
He made it to the tunnel which he carefully hid beneath a pile of bushes deep inside of the woods and leisurely crawled back to his house while the thin creature was still frantically searching for him in the bushes, the thoundsands bushes.
Yes, Coal thought the creature liked to play tag game. He played with it once so he knew it...
But, there was still one thing that he couldn't predict in his plan. It was about the second javelin.
Yes, it missed and that why he was still there spewing things.
But, no distractions! And the problem there was that the javelin went straight right into the entrance of the tunnel together with him.
It flew through a lot of bushes so he didn't think that the thin creature would find it and the tunnel's entrance very soon. But he also didn't think that the creature wouldn't doubt it. Its precious javelin had just gone dissapearing in nowhere while it flew hunting down the cunning rabbit, after all.
He thought that it was just a matter of time before the creature could discover them.
But that doesn't mean that the creature could change anything. Win or lose, it was all decided by Coal and only Coal himself. If he raised his crawl speed a bit, he would have a lot of time to plunder the cave. If he lower his crawl speed, a lot, maybe he would loss his precious plunder time but still had time to run away and did the same the for next day. But if he did thing like normal, just enough and nothing more, he would still achieve his goal even though it was his first attempt in that tactic.
It was a game that he couldn't lose from the first place after all.
If there was anything to blame, then blaming the creature running out of its cave like a stupid goar chasing when it saw the red color would be a reasonable answer.
Not only did it fall for his trap almost instantanenously just because he broke some ice holes on its cave, which he could maybe find a lot in the frozen river near there and chasing him down like a rabid wolf saw rabbit, instead of just threw the javelins and went back holding the wooden. But also used a lot of time to find him in the bushes matrix...
Haizz, Coal sighed.
'Still less intelligent than rabbits.' Coal thought.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
He thought that he could finnally find an intelligent animal in the woods to make friend with and maybe helped him with his matter. He was still a 6 years old rabbit after all and he didn't want to be left alone all the time, he hated it. But when he imagined the creature stupidly turned upside down every bush appeared in its eyes, with its higher legs moved around with the superrabbit speed...
He could only sigh in frustration.
'Rabbit is the best. No one can beat a rabbit. Hurray.' He thought to himself.
And then continuted his crawl while being careful not to catch a glimpse of the javelin behind his back, which was dangerously pointing directly at his butt.

After he crawled for a while. Coal finally saw the end of the tunnel.
Climbing on top of the pile of stones which he had prepared that morning before he carried out his plan, he stepped onto the ground. His feets then sink slightly downside, a little bit of snow then stuck to the fur near his feets. Sending an unpleasant sensation through the then wet and near frozen fur which was still normal a few seconds ago, and made him shiver a little bit. The cold after then attacked him from all sides, both inside and outside his body.
He felt a little disappointed. But he thought that he was used to it and if it was just like that, he would still be able to endure it for a long time.
Straightening himself out. He brushed some dust off his body and then raised his head up, looked right straight into the big wooden cave in his eyes, with some hopes.
He decided to use the another tunnel which he used to dig few days ago, when wooden objects were just appeared out of nowhere rather than wretched evading them liked the thin creature did.
He then brushed the pile of leave and snow that he used as a camouflage to cover it and jumped straight down. The tunnel wasn't very long like the one he just recently used so he just needed less than a minute to go to the other's end of the tunnel effortlessly.
Different from the last time. Instead of always being far away in his sight, the wooden cave was then right in front of his eyes. So close that he thought if he raised his hand a little bit, he could touch it.
He had never been that close to it before.
Even when he was breaking the ice hole, he just stood from afar and threw the stone but not closed in.
But then he had had a chance, to see what he couldn't see in the past. The wooden cave, right in fromt of his eyes, it looked so big, so tall and enormous. Its outside looked so cold and aloof like it wanted to warn him to get away while waiting for its master came back. But when he put his hand on the small slot, very small slot on it smooth surface, he felt a little bit warm coming from its inside.
He suddenly had a thought that maybe that was what his parent used to tell him when they were still with him.
'Home?...' Coal thought. His eyes looked straight but meaning full at its wooden surface in front his eyes.
"One day you will have a family. You will find people that you love, cherish and want protect with all you have. Just like us."
'Just like us.' Coal shed a little bit tear on his eyes.
But where did he belong to, then?
Didn't want to sad anymore and also didn't want to put off his plan for too long. Coal looked at the shattered wooden piece which was attached to the tall hole once before walking close to it and entered the tall hole without hesitaion.
Didn't know that the creature had already seen all of it...
