It seemed like Coal had wasted too much of his time that the creature was then right in front of his eyes.
Not only did he waste a lot of it trying to open the tall box, but he also greedy devoured tons of food while not caring even a little bit about the surroundings.
The moment the thin creature was about to return to its cave, Coal might have noticed in the first place and ran miles away. But, he was just...too focused on the food in the tall box to do anything else.
He hadn't seen so much food in a long time. He used to have such a big box of food liked that once, but it only happened after his parent left him.
His box quickly ran out back then, partly was because he needed to eat while another part was because it spoiled when he left it in his hole in the underground for too long.
But finding another box in the wooden cave was something he had never planned or thought of, not to mention that it was even bigger and had more food than his one.
Inside of the tall box, the food was neat and well laid out. The tall box contained not only plant food like his box but also a large amount of meat and something else that he didn't recognize too.
It had meat in the middle, plant food on top, something esle at the bottom and some water in his right. Each part of it cut off by a large but thin ice substance plate while the water was caged in something similar to the ice substance but in a shape he had never seen before.
Curious, he picked up and tried to drink the water caging inside the ice substance object but no matter how much force he used he could only make the ice substance object concave inside while the water couldn't escape it. So he gave up and just put it and few more similar ice substance objects smilar to it in his makeshift bag, which he brought together with him before he came to the cave, and looking for the food instead.
He tried plant food first, then meat and finally was something else he had mentioned before.
Hmm.
The tall box food wasn't that tasty, really. It was a bit cold, tasted bland, and just liked any normal food he ate before.
But... the problem there was that it had too much food, tons of that, in the worst possible timing that could happen. If it had just barely enough, he could restrain himself from being greedy but the reality was proved to be opposite. In addition, he was too hungry recently to think anything straight.

The stuffs he had been eating lately were barely the size of his fist and he had to break it down even more so he wouldn't go too hungry. It was hard for him, especially when he was still at his growth age.
Sometimes in his cave, making plans and making things for his future plunder plan together with his almighty stone. He often thought that he could even eat the creature whole if it dared to approach him or if he had no choice but to do so. But his plan never came true and instead of him ate it, it looked more likely that the creature would eat him first.
Nevermind, he tried hard to restrain himself and told himself that he just wanted to tasted the food first, then decided which kind of food he would take latter. He just wanted to tasted it a little bit, a little bit more. But he didn't know why, for some unknown reasons, the food kept dissapearing with a super atomic speed under his nose...
Looked down, he saw his cute and little mouth was incessantly biting and devouring the food liked an eating machine while his hands was moving at an absurd fast speed like a 6-barrel gatling gun, which he hadn't even heard of, firing continuously to the point he could see an afterimage that he had six arms like a rabbit god he had forgot, dumping the food into his makeshift bag.
...
By the time he woke up from his stupor, half of the food had already dissapeared into nowhere and he was then a big belly rabbit carrying an makeshift bag even as big as him if not bigger.
The thin creature appeared out of nowhere like a phantom, standing still at the tall wooden hole location like a sculpture stature, not moving even an inch. Its eyes were locked at Coal while it pupil turned red, seemed to be able to burn him to ash. It had one fearsome javelin on each one of its hands, spreading out and trying to flap like an eagle... or maybe trying to destroy Coal once and forever.
Meanwhile, Coal instead of tucking his nearly non-existence tail between his legs and ran away like a frightened puppy, he puffed out his chest. Looking directly at the creature's red eyes with a triumphant smile on his face. His right hand rested on the fully stuffed makeshift bag, which he was carrying on his shoulder. His left hand, however, was put on his then big belly, rubbed it evenly.
Enraged, the creature lunged at the stupid little rabbit, trying to crush it with its two fearsome javelins. But just a moment before it was about to achieve its dream, ...a piece of meat appeared out of nowhere, flew straight into it face, blinded it and broke some of its jawbones...maybe.
The creature fell down to the ground, screaming in pain with the piece of meat still stuck to its face...probably. Crawling towards his previously location, its hands swung the fearsome javelins as if nothing had happened, but only to hit the air.
At the moment, Coal had already, about to go through the tall wooden hole of the food room. But.
Looking back, he tired shaking his head and sighed.
Haizz...
He turned his head back to the cave's exit direction again. And walked without looking back even once again.

After he left the food room. He went through the cave exit and easily escaped the wooden cave.
The moment he was about to jump down to one of his tunnel and left. He saw the thin creature standing still in front of its cave, looking at him with an enigmatic look on its eyes. The meat piece was disspeared but it wasn't matter, really.
Coal glanced at it once, but only lasted a few seconds before he dissapeared deep inside his tunnel once again.
