Chapter 57.2-Stories of Old(Part 3)

The unfortunate 2,000 of the emperor's children and 400 wives' martial clans and sects were completely and utterly destroyed and killed all the people inside them, completely enraging them and fueling the fire within them to kill anyone inside this gigantic cave. The cave had bright red doors with 100,000,000,000 sculpted dragon heads as decorations made of the same unknown material. A total absolute unit of a door that is indestructible and immovable.

The emperor's children and wives gathered in front of this massive cave in the heart of Murim, waiting for it to open. After a few seconds, the massive bright red doors begin to slowly open, creating an ear-deafening creak that would cause a normal Qi-less person's head to explode. Fortunately, none of the emperor's Demi-God staged children or his 900 Quasi-God staged wives were bothered by the doors' petty tricks. When the doors were fully opened, they revealed a massive wormhole that led to another dimension.

It was a beautiful world, full of white trees with flowers growing on them, bountiful plants with never-before-seen fruits and vegetables, countless minerals of precious stones, and the most abundant and potent colorless Qi that adapts to any attribute. The emperor's children and wives' eyes were filled with greed after witnessing this scene. They all dashed inside, warning the soldiers guarding the massive cave's perimeters not to follow them because it was dangerous and following suit might kill them.

They rushed inside like a horde, pushing and shoving each other like a pack of wild dogs. They were then in their own worlds once they entered the portal. The daughters went straight for the jewels and then began plucking all the plants, flowers, fruits, and vegetables they could find, the wives began to absorb the potent colorless Qi and cultivate to obtain greater strength, one that surpasses even the Gods, and the sons went straight to the minerals and metals to forge their new weapons out of them.

They were insane; they plucked plants that were not theirs, depleted the land's resources, and robbed the land of its Qi. Years passed inside the portal, but it wasn't until hours later that the emperor's children and wives stepped outside. The soldiers and slaves were astounded by the emperor's family's transformation; they had grown stronger than ever before.

The 5,000 sons had the most powerful weapons and armor, the 5,000 daughters had the most prestigious jewelry and their faces became much more beautiful than before thanks to the fruits and vegetables they ate from the portal, and finally, the emperor's wives had become so powerful that they had broken through an unknown stage of power, quickly surpassing the god-stage and the god-king stage. They were on top of the world, and they believed that no one could stop them with their newfound power. They believed that they were Gods and that nothing on this planet could stop them.

They then devised a strategy to establish the most powerful kingdom in Murim's written history, and in order to do so, they needed powerful individuals to populate their oh-so-perfect kingdom. So they did, all of the sons, daughters, and wives chose people of higher standing and wealth to live under their rule, while the rest of the bunch would be cast aside and forced to live on the outskirts of Murim, where they can live if they can find a place to live in the first place. Trillions of trillions of rich and powerful merchants, martial elders, patriarchs, and clan leaders of various standings and power pleaded to serve under them.

When the emperor's children and wives saw this scene, they all smiled wickedly because it provided them with hours of entertainment. They all became arrogant, and as a result of their arrogance, they freed all the slaves, believing that their perfect kingdom would not require any useless, feeble, or weak pests, so they banished them from their hometowns. All the poor, even some rich people with no martial prowess were cast aside and thrown out of the very place they grew up in. The abandoned were happy but miserable at the same time, they could not help but laugh and cry in succession.
