Chapter 43- Elder Gu

Chapter 43- Elder Gu

Time stopped, and everything stood in place with only Sung Kang and the 800,000-meter tall Phoenix. The Phoenix was so large that Sung Kang was only talking to its toenail. Each word the Phoenix sad carries so much weight and sincerity that it shook the world itself.

Let me help you save her. Said the Phoenix.

We can still save her and even make her body anew. Said the Phoenix.

“Wait before that.” Said Sung Kang.

Huh? Said the Phoenix.

“I have a question.” Asked Sung Kang.

Yes, what is it?

“Do you have like a name or something?” asked Sung Kang.

Oh, I guess you need to call me something huh? Damn, you really ruined the mood and my epic dramatic entrance. Sighed the Phoenix.

“Important matters first, right?” said Sung Kang.

Sigh** I guess you have a point. Said the Phoenix.

“Then let me call you Elder Gu. Is that alright?” said Sung Kang.

Hmmm. It does have a nice ring to it. Alright, I give you my consent to call me that. Said the Phoenix.

It’s the first time someone’s called me a nickname before. Said the phoenix in a quiet voice.

“What was that?” asked Sung Kang.

Nope, nothing. Said Elder Gu.

“Is this like your spiritual form?” asked Sung Kang.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

No. This is just what I look like when I get summoned to the physical world. My real form is much bigger. Said Elder Gu.

But it is strange, mortals like you should be supposed to be shitting and pissing your pants at the same time when you see me. I mean isn’t it frightening to see a giant Phoenix, of course, I’m not like normal Phoenixes and I am also death’s courier and I guide lost souls to hell. Are you scared of me? Asked Elder Gu.

“No. Not even one bit.” Said Sung Kang.

“But it feels weird like you said, instead of feeling fear I feel a familial kind of connection, like what brothers have or something, or maybe it’s just me.” Said Sung Kang.

Yeah, I feel the same as well. Said Elder Gu.

An awkward silence then filled the air between Sung Kang and Elder Gu. Elder Gu was in fact an introvert, his last time talking to a mortal was in the time of creation, meaning, it was a long time ago that he does not even remember anymore. Elder Gu had no idea how to break the ice between them.

“So how do I save Queen Ilaaw?” asked Sung Kang.

You already have the answer inside you. Said Elder Gu.

“What?”

“My foundations you mean?” asked Sung Kang.

Yes. Use the Divine fire, one of your foundations have these yes? Or something similar to it? Asked Elder Gu.

“Yes, I think I have something similar.” Said Sung Kang.

“So how do I use it?” asked Sung Kang.

You want to save her, yes? All of your foundations will know what you are feeling and the foundation fit for the job will just come to you. Said Elder Gu.

Call them out, and make your will to save someone stronger. Convey your will and they will answer. Said Elder Gu.

Following Elder Gu’s advice, Sung Kang looked at Queen Ilaaw’s dying body. Sung Kang tried to convey his will to resurrect and restructure Queen Ilaaw’s whole being, making her into a new species of panda much stronger than even her ancestors. Sung Kang’s 2nd mental space, in a cliffside mountain near the infinite field, his foundation of a black Phoenix his shadow and whole being darker than Elder Gu’s, has heard Sung Kang’s will and then stretched his infinitely wide wings and flew out from his resting spot and then with a loud bang, shot straight out of Sung Kang’s second mental space. Fire of different colors and different temperatures shot out of Sung Kang’s eyes aggressively, making Sung Kang’s eyes look like a thousand flamethrowers firing in unison, temperatures as hot as the sun and even beyond were shooting out of Sung Kang’s eyes but even despite that Sung Kang wasn’t even budging at all because there was no pain. His will conveyed to his foundation, that he wanted to heal and reform this dying body in front of him, and to heal her Sung Kang will definitely do.
