Meanwhile, Shayna and her hired gunmen ventured into the shipyard finding the cargo.

“Spread out and look around,” Shayna ordered.

“You’re still not well. Stay behind,” one of the assassins suggested.

“I’ll be in the warehouse,” Shayna announced.

As Shayna walked over to the front office, ten of her assassins decided to split up and look for the cargo crate. Armed with submachine guns, they scoured the area for any threats as well.

One of the men was lucky enough to find one of the crates on his own. Unfortunately, it was too dark inside. He went for his flashlight until suddenly, someone pulled them into the darkness. He tried to scream, but his voice was muffled immediately.

Hearing something, one of the men turned around and backtracked steps. The trio who found the opened container were no fools. They kept their distance.

“Hey, Willis?” one of the henchmen called out.

No answer.

The three men looked at each other with concern as they slowly approached the open crate. One of the men stood behind him, pointing the gun to the darkness as the other two stood side by side; one of them was ready to fire as his partner tried again, “Willis, you in there?”

Nothing again.

Being set up, he turned to his partners. There was something wrong. One of their partners was on the ground incapacitated. They rushed over to him, only to find an arrow sticking out of his shoulder.

“What the fuck—?” Not having the time to react, one of them was struck with an arrow in the shoulder. This time, he screamed out in pain. It was so loud that even Shayna heard him in the offices of the warehouse. Seeing this, the remaining team members fled the scene.

This sent everyone into a panic. The safeties were off as the assassins were ready to open fire at anyone. Still, the remaining team member running for his life, whether he believes that being shot by one of his teammates by mistake would be a godsend, had little to no alternatives as for when he made a hard turn to the left, he was met by the angelic creature.

Meanwhile, back at the warehouse, Shayna was desperately gathering information in the central offices she’d broken into.

Back at the shipyard, three men were down, and everyone was on high alert. The remaining assassins couldn’t help themselves to feel a little bit out of it. It could be adrenaline or lack of sleep. It just felt like something was in the air. For some odd reason, they all started to feel a bit dizzy. Started hyperventilating. One of them began to vomit a little.

Delirious and fearful, one man had broken off on his own as he began to shoot at anything that moved. A shadow, he shot at it. Something that was moving, he shot at it. A bird in the sky, he shot at it. Something that resembled a monster, he shot at it until he ran out of bullets in his gun.

Staggering and feeling loopy and aggressive, he yelled out loud, “COME OUT AND FACE ME, YOU COWARD!”

Sadly, his prayers were answered, as a steady hand gripped on his shoulder. As he looked behind him, he shrieked in fear while he was taken down by the winged vigilante.

The rest of the six decided to play it smart and regroup, meeting at a lighted area. With their backs together, they prepared to shoot anything that moved.

Unrealistically knowing Lady Memento’s trap, they have sprung, he killed the light and nothing but darkness. Lady Memento dropped in the middle of the group and started attacking. A mixture of screams, and gunfire echoed throughout the shipyard.

Hearing this from outside, Shayna looked out the window and saw the chaos in front of him. Taking out the last of the assassins, Lady Memento walked away from the group of broken bodies.

Realizing he was next, Shayna cut her losses and decided to leave the warehouse. She tried her best to run as fast as she could, but with her condition, it was a bit difficult for her to move quickly as she wanted to. Finally making her way out of the back entrance, Shayna felt a particular tug on her left ankle.

Her greatest fear will be realized as Shayna was hoisted up by her left ankle, ascending from the ground. Screaming in terror, it took Shayna at least five and a half seconds to dangle 100 feet from the ground. Paralyzing fear of being hung upside down with a menacing Lady Memento looking right at her, Shayna clearly decides on his own that it was over for him.

Lady Memento reached out to Shayna by her hair and pulled she close as she started heckling her, “Last time I checked, it’s not safe for someone with the flu to be out in the middle of the cold autumn night, darling.”

“FUCK YOU, YOU OVERGROWN TURKEY!” Shayna antagonized.

“Nope, bad idea.” Lady Memento released the rope as Shayna began to fall, only to be caught halfway to the ground and to ascend once more with Lady Memento staring at her again.

Shayna finally realizes she has been beaten, “Okay! I’m sorry! Please, don’t drop me!”

“So, I didn’t know that you were a big fan of dog food. Where did it come from, Romania or Ireland?” Lady Memento interrogated.

“I… I didn’t know what was inside the crates, I swear! I only wanted to know what was inside, so I contacted my fellow members to discover the Demon Knight’s hidden assets.”

“You know enough,” Lady Memento bullied.

“I… I only knew Xerxes was hiding something big in R-Romania…” Shayna stammered.

“What?!” Lady Memento bellowed.

“I DON’T KNOW!!” Shayna pleaded. “What do you think, I…?! W-would all of this…!” She ranted incoherently.

“Oh, now you think I stupid?!” Lady Memento teased.

“NO—!” As Shayna tried to plead with this character, Lady Memento, let go of the rope again with her screaming bloody murder. Yet, Lady Memento would spare Shayna as she stopped the cable with the only a couple of feet left away from the ground. Afterward, Lady Memento cut Shayna loose, falling flat on her face.

Wasting no time, she got up and tried to run. Her great escape would be for nothing with the NYPD arriving just in time to stop Shayna. With Lady Memento well hidden in the background, she left the scene without a trace.

She would call friend immediately as she ascends to the sky, “Christopher, it’s me, Revan. I spoke to Hu not a while ago and she got cheated.”

“Again,” Chrostopher spoke a low rugged voice. “I thought she retired.”

“Story of her life, but something is happening in Romania. Be sure to be careful over there.”

“From what I heard, you are already here in Europe,” He said.

She paused for moment, “you let me handle that. I’ll talk to Kaz later…”

“No, it wasn’t him. He is still in Spain.” He informed.

“I know…” She admitted.

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
