~11~

The Ivory Tower is the central operations base orbiting safely outside the Seventh Heavens. The tower is a white castle bathed in sunlight most of the time. It has more than a thousand rooms with 200,000 inhabitants who work and train inside or outside. The castle is ten times the size of Malbork Castle, surrounded by lush angelic terrain and ecosystems that are the size of Alaska.

You must be a member of the Crux, Aethereal sensitivity, and your DNA to get there. When Lycka and her Sentinels finished, they gathered in Selena's room. They were all packed and ready to go. Lycka closed the door and focused her energy on the door knob. The aethereal strands work hand in hand with the tumblers of any door in the world. A bit tedious since there are so many rooms anyone can get to or have strict access to.

It only took a second, but the doorknob illuminated a shining white light. Then, Lycka opened the door, finding their way back home. Then, the three entered the castle, with Lycka closing the door behind her.

Specifically, Lycka transported herself and the two to her living quarters.

"We must look our best for the boys, ladies!" Lycka said, unzipping her dress. "I want to speak with all of you."

Erika saw a couch and plopped on one, "can I wear my uniform? I love it!"

“Of course you can! We all know Selena is wearing hers!" Lycka while going inside her closet.

Selena slightly blushed, “We’re officially on the clock, so...”

"You are Alpha Crucis 24/7, Selena! The heavens forbid, for least one hour, you would stop being one; the world would end!" Lycka wailed in the other room.

"I believe in readiness, your Majesty. Not vigilance."

Lycka peered her little head out with a scowl, "I know. I hear it from all the crying recruits."

“It’s not my fault if they are too soft, your Majesty...” she defended.

Lycka rolled her eyes and returned, “You keep up this reputation of being a hard ass; no one will speak to you!”

“I reiterate, it’s not my fault the girls act like--”

“Girls?” Lycka finished Selena’s sentence.

"What we do is dangerous. And I will be nicer if those become less dumb. We need to focus on taking care of ourselves--"

"If you desperately want to be a teacher, Selena, I will give you a class to teach. And let me hear you abusing the recruits!" Lycka said out loud.

“I’m not an abuser, your majesty...” Selena defends with a frown.

"Good," Lycka said as she stepped out wearing royal garb. "Because I didn't do that to you when you started. No matter how often you messed up, I handled you with care. Teaching is a thankless job; you don't know if it's going out one ear or another." Lycka walked over to her makeup station and sat down in her chair.

Selena was in shock at the genuine opportunity, “Y-you mean you are given me a--”

"Trial run, Selena. Like everyone else I have ever selected. But I am going to partner you with a teacher's assistant." Lycka offered while doing her makeup.

Selena was stunned by the good news as she nodded, “Thank you, Your Majesty!” she proudly accepted.

“That’s after this Third Rev mess is cleaned up...” Lycka stated.

“Maybe you can put this mission in your curriculum!” Erika said.

Selena nodded, “Yes, the Behavioral Sciences of Symbolism and Occultism! That's what I should name the program." Selena announced with a grin.

The girl is already naming her class..., Lycka thought.
