Then, Mordechai receives a phone call on his headset, “Zayne.”

“Yeah, it’s me, your father!” Mordechai’s father answered.

"Hey, father! Everyone say hello to my father, Dr. Rigby Zayne.” Mordechai greeted as everyone applauded.

“Um, are you doing your presentation?” Rigby asked as everyone laughed.

"Yes, Father! We are trying out the new AR system that I have programmed." Mordechai answered.

"Awesome! I still have yours with me. Do you want to show them the thing?!" Rigby anxiously urged.

"Yes, Father, we can! Do you want to give me an invite!" Mordechai asks.

“Yes, look out for it!” Rigby said.

"What my father is doing is he is going to load up a computer game that we have recalibrated into an augmented reality game. If you love first-person shooters or just games in first-person perspective, then you are in for a treat."

Then Mordechai exits the park and goes to a load of screens. Using augmented reality, he chose the simulated program. Then, one of the technicians handed him a white stick to replace his two controllers.

"I have been working on my kendo skills for some time now. Before this capstone project, many videogame developers and designers wanted to glimpse what I was making. I do believe that the gaming industry will embrace AR technology. Many companies have verbally agreed to develop several games for headsets like mine. The gameplay is still raw since it is a pre-beta build. I have a tracking sensor in the stick shaped like a lightsaber."

People were amazed by what was on the screen as it looked like they were taking part in a fighting game. Mordechai saw his father's invitation and accepted it. Then, he was taken to a character-select screen and shown a samurai. It took a few moments, but he and his father played the game. His father, Rigby, played as a Viking while they were transported into a green field. With enough room on stage, he could move freely as he dodged. Striking and parrying.

While doing this, he went into detail about the interaction, "many people would think that the hardware for augmented reality is limited, like headsets and all sorts of monitors. However, we believe 5 to 10 years of development and testing will be accessible for mobile computing devices like smartphones and video gaming consoles. This is just the tip of the iceberg since I plan on dabbling into various ways to access augmented reality, such as eyeglasses and contact lenses."

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Projection mapping, tracking, and networking have also been a major hurdle. With mobile augmented reality applications that are slowly being discussed in research and development teams, there is more hope that mobile augmented reality applications will gain popularity because of the wide adoption of mobile, especially wearable devices.

"But there are some hurdles as they often rely on computationally intensive computer vision algorithms with extreme latency requirements. Since we are dealing with mobile, they usually have to compensate for the lack of computing power. The deciding factor is usually offloading data processing to a distant machine. But that is something I plan to work on over the years regarding latency and bandwidth."

After his lecture, Mordechai ended up winning the game. The audience applauds his victory.

“So, how do you like the game, father?” Mordechai was speaking to Rigby.

“I want a rematch...” Rigby uttered as the audience laughed.

"Maybe next time. Later, father." Mordechai said as he ended the call and left the lobby.

Then, the audience applauded the demo. The technicians helped Mordechai remove the headset as they took the sensory stick from him.

Fixing his hair with a smile, he continued his project, "Augmented reality is more than just for one's leisure, as we do believe that it is the future of productivity for every field such as archaeology, architecture, urban design, STEM education, commerce, literature, visual arts, and fitness. Even remote collaborations in the medical field, medical surgeries, flight training, military purposes, navigation, broadcasting live events, tourism, language translation, studying music, and the workplace."

"Augmented reality can serve a huge purpose of convenience and increased productivity. Peter Thiel once said, 'In the developed world, technological progress means that you can have a situation where there's growth, where there's a way in which everybody can be better off over time.' And thank you all for your time, and be safe.”

In concluding his project, Mordechai received a standing ovation. He felt empowered at that stage, knowing he could change the world. Only some people might understand this equipment, but at least it is here for anyone who can use it.

A couple of hours later, Mordechai received high praise from many executives and officials for his hard work. But he felt he needed to leave and get some rest. Of course, Sylvia was proud of him, too, as she gave him a big smothering hug.

"Even though I do call you a little egghead. You are going to be a rich egghead. I'm proud of you." Sylvia said while going out of the embrace.

Mordechai looked at her as he smiled, “I’m just glad it’s over.”

“Still early in the day, ice cream?” Sylvia suggested.

“I could use a scoop...” Mordechai exhaustively sighs.

“I wonder if they’re going to pack up your stuff...” Sylvia wondered as they made their way out of the building.

"This equipment is going to be sought after by big tech companies. As a good thing, my father has good security detail to bring this stuff home." Mordechai explained.

“Well, I’m just going to shut up then...” Sylvia is being outwitted.

They both got in the car and headed to the parking lot. Sylvia drove away from the building with Mordechai. Looking outside, he saw the same professor glaring back at him as he drove away. It appeared Sylvia kicked him out, but he stayed behind the entire time. Mordechai just laid back in the seat without saying a word.
