She looked around her and her suspicions were confirmed. There were no gray or white souls she could see around except for the park. She felt that there was something weird while she was in the city and she never knew why until she noticed there were no white or gray souls floating around. They were maybe rare for other places but the Summit City was different, souls were a common thing here.
She did not know what was happening but she chose to turn around and went on her way. Those souls couldn’t hurt those people in the park anyway, especially if it’s the City’s residents. But the whole situation was puzzling her.
What were they planning?
She casted away her thoughts and picked a road leading northeast. There was no one around passing the roads as it was still early in the morning and the weather was also not nice.
She then arrived at the residential area. The roads from here on out were lined with ornate gates from both sides. She passed many residential blocks' entrances and from the little gaps the gates had, she saw some people bustling at their homes and tending to their chores despite the weary weather. Living their life normally with their families.
She stopped on one of the ornate gates near the edge of the residential area and entered it. Two rows of buildings line up before her facing each other with a narrow road between them devoid of people.
She chose this residential block for a reason. There was once a bomb explosion or something that happened to this area a year ago and the residents of this section and the nearby ones had to be relocated. They renovated this place and it took months for it to finish.
By that time, the residents had already settled into their new residential area. She and her father were once one of them. She picked this one because there was a high chance that it was still unoccupied and from the looks of things, she was right.
She really needed to rest and to take a break from using her ability. She might not feel tired currently, as she physically couldn’t most of the time, but her body was probably on its last leg. Her body might not tell her she’s tired but she’s mentally tired.
She deactivated her invisibility and she continued running through the road. As she had expected, the newly renovated homes looked bare and uninhabited.
She picked a random building, three stories high, located on the edge of the residential block, near the back entrance of the block. She climbed the stairs of the building directly towards the second floor.
The buildings in these residential areas were designed to house huge rooms where people with multiple family members could live together.
Multiple rooms could fit in one building that could span into a few floors. There were huge open hallways in front of the building with stairs spanning from bottom to top, huge balconies were located in front of the rooms jutting out in a semi circle, where huge beautiful gardens, cared for by the gardeners of the city, were usually placed.
She stopped towards one balcony. The balcony spans with a radius of ten meters, enough for a huge expanse of garden to be placed in it.
There were rows of plants and bushes around. Three tall shelves of hanging plants were arranged in the middle of the balcony like they were shelves in the library. While huge bushes of durantas were arranged in the periphery. She ducked behind one of the duranta bushes, completely hiding her from the view of the hallway.
This was the best hiding place for her, opened enough not to be enclosing and still hiding her from the view.
Now that she finally got a break, she felt the pounding ache in her head. Her body couldn’t feel pain and exhaustion easily. It’s just that when it happens she will feel intense pain and crippling exhaustion. It’s like she was just storing her tiredness away till it piled up enough for her to feel. She knew she was on her limit. Any time now, she would shut down.

After a minute of rest she opened her eyes and concentrated. A white spherical object suddenly appeared in her right hand. It looked like a glass bottle that could be mistaken for a flask but it had no neck. It was not perfectly shaped as a sphere as there were bumps in it from different areas.
Anyone would mistake it as a perfume bottle as it has a hole on top of it like it was just missing a cap. But if someone tried to put their finger on the hole, they would feel an invisible barrier keeping the white liquid inside it from spilling over.
For all its appearance and use, it was indeed a bottle and a container at the same time. Hence, that’s why it’s named Renisas Bottle. Summit kids loved to call it Rainbow despite how it was transparent and white, it came from its other name Renbo.
She clasped her hands together in a praying gesture with the Renbo in between. She focused on her renisas and like an extension of her body they complied with her order. A bunch of the pink renisas that revolved around her suddenly moved and went towards the bottle in her hand.
Pink clouds of renisas shone brightly under her eyes, shrouding the renisas bottle in her hands as it wrapped around the Renbo. The glass sphere turned more transparent until it looked like she was only holding a floating white liquid.
She commanded the pink renisas to be condensed into a single line and let it pierce the opening part of the bottle. As if there was no protective cover in it, the condensed pink renisas entered and joined the free white renisas inside.
Slowly, the white renisas inside was starting to color into pink. It was like a drop of pink ink merged with a white solution, slowly transforming the white solution into a pink one.
She had to maintain the connection between her renisas and the free renisas during this time, to transform and incorporate the white renisas into her own.
A minute passed by and a quarter of the white renisas inside had now become pink.
She suddenly stopped incorporating the white renisas into hers. Her concentration broke down when she heard flurries of footsteps from the first floor of the building she’s in.
She could feel heavy steps scaling the stairway leading to her floor. She ignored it and focused again on the pink renisas inside the bottle and control it to join the renisas in her body. Rivulets of pink renisas flown and joined the renisas that revolved around her. She looked towards the renimeter in her right wrist, a white and blue bracelet that could record her overall renisas capacity, and saw “25%” in it.
After that was done, she stood up and jumped from the balcony she’s at. Halfway through the fall, she quickly activated one of her abilities and suddenly she was zipping like a bullet heading straight not below towards the ground, like gravity dictates, but towards the building approximately 30 meters away.
It was instant and she found herself a good 20 meters from where the buiding she was before. The problem was that she’s still three meters above the ground and unfortunately she did not have the ability to fly. She fell ungraciously with her bum first towards the ground
“Shit!” she cursed to herself. “That hurts!”
Enduring the pain, she stood up and limped her way towards the lawn of the opposite residential building in front of her. The pursuers of her did not notice that she just slipped to the opposite house. She made herself invisible again and hobbled toward the house.
The pain made her promise herself, again, not to do that while falling. She had practiced it before so she was quite confident doing it but somehow she messed it up. Partly because she could never coordinate well with her frail body when it was already on its last leg.
She had been running for more than a day already, that was more than 24 hours, any normal body would have given up by that time. Especially her body which was weaker than normal people. She did not have the chance to get some sleep and even have a decent meal. She knew her body was at its limits. What was probably keeping her was her petty determination to not give up that easily.
She knew that she had shown quite many abilities that the organization didn't know she had and that was the only reason she could run away without being caught yet in their own turf. But her renisas was running low and she did not have time to recharge fully.
The renisas she had taken just a while ago only added 5 percent of her renisas capacity, with her jump right now, it took almost 3 percent of it. That was a complete waste of renisas when she could zip for more than ten times of that area with that amount of renisas. But she had to be content with it or she would zipped directly towards the building ahead of her.
She passed by the last house hobbled towards the back entrance of the residential block hoping it was not locked.
It was opened, just that a lot of Summit Soldiers were standing beside it.
