Chapter XXV: Memories in The Dark

*ೃ༄

“Sanjaya! Sanjaya! Wake up!”

Sanju opens his eyes slowly that he was laying his back on the road in injured, noticing his father Radithya and his superior Althair before his eyes before he coughed a little. Holding his father’s hand and helped him sitting up on the ground, his attire was stained with dusts and blood all over him--even his limbs and boots. His hair is messy and almost covering his eyes, his father brushed off the dusts from his bangs that he keeps struggling to stand up. Sanju coughed, inhaling and exhaling slowly, with him holding a Brahmastra on his palms. He shook his head a bit, glancing at his father's right shoulder since he's already injured.

Kinana landed on the ground, her eyes widened to see Sanju was horribly injured but somehow able to withstand some of his injuries. She and his father helped him by treating him, watching him staggering a bit and holding his claymore on his hand. "I'm going to be fine, can't you see that I'm gonna beat the crap out of him later on," Sanju murmured, his gaze darkened as he shake his head a little--the concussion did took him from being able to focus but he still continued to look around him. “Are you alright?” Althair asked, after Sanju was pulling out the spears from his shoulder and stomach, somewhat painful enough when he released it. "I take back what I said, my apologies..."

Sanju said, his regeneration took half an hour but at least he recovered from some of them and managed to battle.

Izana knew the moment Maha transformed, they have to end their fight immediately before everything gone to worse. Radithya hold his son's shoulders, he was also injured that he mostly got crashed to the side. “I didn’t expect him to have that power… I need to watch out next time he attacked…” his son hissed, making Althair watching the fight of Karuna and the other Vipralopa-class Phantom Beasts. “I’ll catch up on Karuna first, you guys take care of the others…”

They nodded, leaving Sanju alone before he stood to face Maha who was seen floating in the mid-air. "Perhaps this will conclude this matter... then I won't argue about anything," he smirked before closing his eyes and jumped off the tower, leaving him while dodging the blasts around him before creating a portal into other dimension into the Tree of Universe.

"You... Karuna!"

Karuna nodded, before he used his Mahesvara Raksha's ability to create a portal-like space for Sanju to follow him. However, when everyone arrived, there was nothing left to look at and they need to evacuate the places that would destroy first due to an overwhelming amount of damage--by sending the civilians through portals Karuna created. In the Imaginary Path, Sanju fled through the debris in the dimension beyond him and when he entered the tunnel--as his body began to transform into a Yang Garuda Raksha.

Back on Earth, the United Nations and Singgahsana Organization already aware of this incident and trying to avoid the worse ones while helping the civilians escaping the destruction path before it can consume the lives in the entire country. While the others aren't in sight, the United Nations are preparing to fly above the smoke with several aircraft or helicopters, and soon arrived near the cities. The smoke covered the entire city with ashes and rubble, before the planes revealed the situation they are currently in.

Haruna was panting heavily as he and Damian were injured, knowing Orther is very strong and they need to stop him. The clones were surrounding them, cornering them in the middle. “Crap, he’s strong as fuck…” he cursed, before Haruna noticed his eyes and he realized that the reason he never injured is because of his eyes. “Can you cover me?” he asked.

Orther was about to walk away since he thought the battle was over because of his ‘victory’ towards the Rakshas, until he sensed someone behind him and Damian's ability to flash a light blinds him. “Argh! What are you--” he was unable to see as he was trying to attack them, until Haruna punched his back which made him yelled by the injuries he inflicted on him. “Damn it… you…!”

Meanwhile...

Maha has arrived in front of the Tree of Universe, standing on the branch while holding the Core of Asura on his hand. He observed how beautiful the tree is, it is similar to the Banyan tree but sometimes glowing. Each pieces of the leaves was glowing with magic energy and light, each species appears to have colors of red, yellow, green, pink and even blue--at this rate, it was indescribable. He was satisfied to see him first and then his plan will begin, before walking around the branch where he decided to set the Tree of Universe up.

Sanju has arrived as he landed on the branch across him, he stand up and swung his claymore swiftly without distracting Maha at all. He glanced at him, frowning a little. Sanju followed him here on time, once he has entered the light portal. "Maha, you probably wonder why I'm here, right?" he asked, causing the former looked up to see him as he stabbed his claymore on the branch beneath him and lowered his head. "Kalina may have died, but still... you already confess your feelings to her in the past, right? Because, if you didn't... then you must've carried the guilt from your failure."

The statement has shaken Maha a bit, he indeed already confessed to her when he sent letters and he traveled around the world during his childhood. At that time, he promised he would do it and succeeded later on while holding the locket on his hands while watching the sunset on the cliff. He always remember how she kept smiling at him, despite the loneliness they endured back then; he should've prepared for the worse situations of his life.

Later that time, Maha knew it from his own heart and had told her everything he can show. "Look, if you're going to revive her through making her an Asura Raksha--then you're dealing with another problem.”

Sanju stated sternly, swinging his sword with such grace and tried his best to slice through him but only got blocked by his powerful magic and his will on his soul-bound with Kalina. 'What is this? His power... this kind of magical power is beyond mine, what makes him so different?' the thought crossed his mind while he withdrew back his Brahmastra. "Indeed," Maha muttered, before looking up to his opponent with a solemn expression.

"The vow and the soul-bound; the relationship we had because of that. It wouldn't ever get broken, since it's love we have between ourselves. For your information, Sanjaya Adinata, only those who can do that and it last until their remaining days, before we... decided to become immortal beings and let people see what humans can't--no matter the boundaries," Maha began after he explained, knowing that he didn't regret doing it.

Sanju slowly realizing that he knew how much the world are already corrupted in the core--only need some fateful encounters and fates brought by destinies of their lives, where the strings intertwined and bring the people together. It's not his first time to see Maha face-to-face in this place, the view beyond was amazing and he can imagine the view was more beautiful and amazing when you view it together with Kalina--for him. "... Why I go through all this, to preserve her existence and the proof of her ancestry within the descendants--but... I'm not doing it out of pity. My mind and my heart can't accept it."

His grin followed by his slow footsteps getting a little bit closer, while his eyes glow green and revealing his true identity. Maha is no mere human being, he was an Asura! He clenched the grip of his Brahmastra, glaring at Maha. "Of course, this time… you'll see my final form for the first time, and… things are just getting started," he let his prism cube vanished by his hand, he floats above as he began to transform into something more than humane.

"I'll show you, what I made of!"

"I'll show you, the Pseudo-Asura that I've obtained in my whole life!"

Maha spread his arms when the prism cube suddenly appeared in front of him, soon manifesting into bright light and soon surrounds Maha. As soon that happens in front of him, the Garuda Raksha immediately retreats as the storm surrounds him--somewhat brought him into a bolt out of the blue. Now that was a different story when he never seen his Pseudo-Asura form, he didn't expect his full power to be this powerful--and terrifying than it seems.

"Chakravartin Asura; Wheel-Turning Ishvara."

Maha's appearance was muscular-built and he was taller than the rest of them, he also gained the several arms behind his back like a spider. His face was covered with a mask that similar to the Raksha's mask, his eyes are shimmering red with sharp pupils and his tied hair grew longer to his back. His attire was majestic for the 'ideal-ruler' itself, most likely because he has golden crown-like horns around his head and gained several black wings with rings on them. He gained a golden skeletal limbs with scale-like markings, however he looked more like a demonic spider and his right and left horns were huge, covered with bladed red strips while the bones resembling to an arrows.

Although the thing that Sanju felt being thrown into a wave of anger, upon seeing his appearance. That made him stunned and speechless by his appearance, he didn't expect him to be this powerful than them. This is the abomination known as Chakravartin Asura, whose powers aren't equal and completely the polar opposite of Asura. Sanju couldn't take that at first, until he regained his composure and the determination to defeat him on a fair battle. Not even the Rakshas can take him at once.

That's when Maha raised his hand before slammed his weapon when he saw him trying to attack him back, leaving Sanju almost blocked his attack and evaded it by a little when he stumbled a little on the ground. Maha smirked a little from his new appearance, before he raised his arms and pointed one hand towards Sanju who had been observing him closely. "Come now--let me test my new abilities against yours," Maha charged a thousands of golden spears at him without looking, causing him to quickly evade themselves from that. The attack speed was fast and so agile at the same time, even they don't have time to analyze his movements and timings of his attacks.

Sanju narrowed his eyes as he held his Brahmastra on time when it came to contact against the spear, his brows raised when he sensed the familiar presence around him.

"Whoa--"

Renata pushed him in time, before Sanju took a deep breath. "Do you need help?" she asked, somehow aware of the problem he is in right now. "I hate to admit this, but yes. You need to come with me, even Althair cannot help on this."

Renata giggled before she took his hand and she guided him towards the tree, successfully dodging each attacks he got through. They have faced a Pseudo-Asura like this, but his size was way taller than him. She would need to focus, so this can be achieved. They managed to reach the tree on time, she turn around and spoke. "Our calculation about Maha has changed from the assumption, he wasn't like the rest of them..."

"I knew that," he murmured, looking back before he took a deep breath.

He clenched his fist and swung his claymore upwards, by evading the fiery shards coming into their way. "I came here because Karuna gave me the portal device to this dimension, and he's fighting at the border, I need to stop him," she said with a smile, before she folded her arms. "Let me know if you need some imaginary space traveling, all right? As long you didn't get yourself killed..." she winked, while Sanju snickered back when she fled from here. "Yeah yeah, I know that."

Sanju transformed into Senapati Raksha, which he left no choice but to defeat him with this Exalted form.

"Maha!"

Maha turn around to hear Sanju yelled his name, but as soon as he could predict the damage he would be inflicted, both of the fighters had knocked down to the tree with a single hit. "Hahaha... Sanjaya Adinata, you're still alive?" he asked, floating towards him before landing on the roots from the tree. "Maha, this might hurt a lot, but I'm not letting this end!" his stern-look seems terrifying for him.

Sanju slain him with using his sword across his throat, almost beheading him and he switched into his spear--until it is restrained by one of his hands. "Interesting, seems like you didn't struggle when you did that," Maha laughed quietly under his mask, he's flapping his eight black wings with all eyes watching him. Sanju could've sworn he is insane, if he has been blinded by something then he had no choice--at least there is still light inside him, as a living soul--not a ghost.

"You have no idea what will happen to you if I'm going to kill you…"

Maha cursed, as he pulled his visor-mask and clashed against Sanju with their spears with each blows they endure. "Your friends will be begging for mercy, and the whole world will soon witness their fates to suffer from the flames of hell when I kill you here and now, right...?" he pressed hard, enough to make him kneel slightly. "The reason for their tragedies… and the worst part for you..." his eyebrows narrowed.

"They will face their punishment to suffer along, until they see themselves in the fires of hell for their sin and crimes, that's why!"

Something snapped within him when Sanju look up to him, just in time the lightning strike the river--suddenly, everything began to change; his calm and assertive features suddenly broke down.

"Shut up! Do you even know what you are talking about!? You are nothing but a lunatic and a murderer, you fucking ruined us, you made me suffer and losing someone I use to care of, you monster! You experimented me, making a clone of me, killing our mentor... and you were the reason that my mother died!”

He spewed, taking his face with a rather perplexed expression. Sanju looked terrifying despite the bloody mess when his wounds began to appear across his face, then he panted in exhaustion and looked at Maha fiercely and he gripped his neck tightly—he look so done and he was angry at what Maha did. Even though he saved him back then… it didn’t change the fact that he made him suffer at the end.

Maha stared into his eyes, he could see the conflicting look within his irises, the kind of hatred and the conflicting pain they endure. Maha only smiled beneath his half-transformed mask, suddenly gaining his new strength when his six arms began to glow.

Without much time and hesitation, he gripped the weapons in the tree above him and proceeded to unleash a burst of shock waves. Sanju simply use his sword from his claymore to cut down the shock waves in one shot, causing him to get shocked with his capabilities as he was being flung. "Maha, please open your eyes to see the real world, as it is."

Sanju stated, glaring at him. "You’ll lead your path into the same destruction if you just find that truth on me, the truth of their actual fate--did they ever tell you that?" he grabbed Sanju's face, causing him to falter his steps a little. "The final step has already be taken, Sanju. What happened wasn't your fault...this is the destiny… only me, and Kalina are the ones responsible for their fates and everyone's!"

"USE YOUR FUCKING BRAIN, WILL YOU!?"

Maha staggered by Sanju's loud and deepened voice that seems to dark and intimidating, he was already pissed--because what on the Earth he wants to achieve this on his plan, but this thing all goes wrong if he made up one mistake in his execution. Maha retreated away as his attack flung him on the tree trunk, seeing Sanju was panting while equally injured like him. "Don't waste your time. Are you getting delusional or are you dreaming?" he asked, this kind of attack only hurts him for a bit and then his injuries are fully restored and healed. "It doesn't matter anymore, as long you keep doing these cruelty. You'll see what people regarded you, whether it is right or wrong… and we'll see how long you can make it."

Maha's eyes are widened that he saw the fierce gaze from the Garuda Raksha, the Yang side of him starting to show up other than his Yin side. Sanju narrowed his eyes that he went silent for a while, until he slain his mask that made him shocked.

He used a sword-like weapon on his right hand that has an extendable chains-that makes him able to cut anything that he sees with ease. While he flapped his wings in order to create a hurricane wind that made him able to control it--to blow the sands into the air, Sanju roared when he attacked him--together with the floating catalyst-like golden clock beside him. Then, he aimed the blade-like attack towards him, the chains extended and wrapped around his throat and caused him to choke while dodging the incoming weapon coming to him. It hit Maha who floats and slammed into the ground. "Shit," Maha hissed in pain, now the blood flowing across his throat, the blood running across his skin but it was quickly gone as soon he move a little.

Then, he fled away through using his space void-like portals into the depths of the Imaginary Path. "Damn it..." he cursed, before he heard a voice.

"Need a hand?"

Renata giggled, before she take out her remote and jumped into holding his wrist--they began to space-travel around the area to chase after Maha who is faster than them. This time, as long Renata's abilities remained strong, he can chase Maha with ease before sending Althair's team with Karuna on their backs before evading Maha's attacks--who managed to catch him off-guard.

On the other side, Raiden saw the spiral storms with electrical vortex heading straight at Vritra, his eyes widened that it was his father and Nagamitsu. “You brat! Don’t be cocky!” he flinched when he reprimanded and jumps towards him, in his Exalted Baginda Raksha; with his awakened Brahmastra; Grandeur of Ardra.

“Ah, otou-san, I think I was too full on myself, hehe…” he grinned sheepishly at his father’s glaring eyes, not changing his annoyed expression.

Ryoma flicked his forehead that sends a jolt of electric forces before his eyes, holding his forehead while yelping in pain. “That teach you a lesson,” Ryoma smirked when he folded his arms and he went up to jump back on Nagamitsu’s back, the dragon snarled at Kurikara as if he’s scolding him. “You too, Nagamitsu?! I didn’t know dragons are like that too?!”

Raiden shouted comically with shock when he find out he was scolding him, Kurikara ended up growling. “Focus, Raiden! Don’t get too distracted by that, don’t you want to do this?!”

“A-Ah, sorry about that…!”

Raiden can be rebellious but he tends to fully respect his father a lot for that, he’d rather given in if his father was extremely furious. “Yare yare, what kind of forms does Vritra has?” Ryoma sighed when he was observing the serpent was growling with wrathful eyes, scowling at both of them when he opened his mouth. “He has two forms, the secondary form and ultimate form… I suppose this was the ultimate form… can we not get back to his insides again?”

Ryoma nodded that he’s disgusted when he reminded of the serpent’s insides, he refuse to go back there after all. “Of course, I don’t want to remind that experience again Raiden,” both of the dragons roared at their words, wanting to get their revenge on him.

Raiden frowned, before he sighed deeply. “Yeah right, I can’t find the weak spot this dry serpent has!”

Ryoma was humming when he think about the weakness he had, until his smirk appearing on his face. “You know… these dry lands are his fortresses?”

Raiden listens to him when he observed the dry sea with the dying fishes, then he rubbed his chin when he saw the seas from the distances are still there. That means he only made the drought when they’re here, he sighed that he had to do this when it comes to defeating him. “(Yeah, you’re saying that I have to do something with the waters over there?)” he nodded when he continue to explain, much to the serpent’s irk and annoyance of their native conversations.

The giant serpent had no idea what are they talking about from above, sensing that Amanda no longer there-that made him roared with hissing at them. “(We are so lucky that he didn’t know what are we talking about)~!” Raiden giggled that only both of them understand each other, since Kain couldn’t understand what are they talking about-all he know that his name was mentioned. “Let’s do this, Raiden!”

“Right, otou-san!”

Vritra had no idea what are the two doing with the oceans from the distance, turns out that Nagamitsu was howling which made the ocean went forward. The latter had the serpent hissed and tries to use his ability to dry the waters, but it didn’t work because of the excessive amount of oceans. Kurikara blasted the red thunders on the oceans that sends electric-charge reactions, causing the serpent to roared by the blast of the oceans upon him.

“What is this…? This can’t be… happening…”

Raiden roared when he goes to strike him, performing his ultimatum when he did. “Seven Manifestations of Thunder’s Retribution, in Euthymia and Omnipresence of Eternity, Strike!” Ryoma also did the same, not wanting to lose like him. “Glory upon the Maelstorm of the Divine, Evolving the Typhoon and Aether, Swirl!”

Raiden unleashed his full potential with his father onto his Sanction of Vajra, while Ryoma went through his Brahmastra. Both of them roared together with the red and purple thunder connected together and became a magenta-like thunder. “Indra… how could you… do all these things to me…?”

Those are the last words the serpent spoken towards them and the Rakshas, ten he was slain by the two of them. “I… lost, I apologize… Mahatma…” Vritra spoke as if he was the one who’s with him, and he narrowed his eyes with tears from his eyes when he spoke his last words. “I couldn’t be there for you… you wouldn’t be there for us…”

Raiden took the main attack while his father is the supporting attack of storms, landed on the ground that the serpent was beheaded. Yujin was inside the serpent that he was electrified and burned, his eyes are white before he fell in defeat on the ground and coughed up blood.

“Argh… that was painful…” Ryoma said when he was injured, same goes for Raiden who almost stumbled forward.

“Oh boy… looks like we have to catch up with the others…”

Both of them took a last glance at unconscious Kain who was defeated, turns out he was more than dead. “Finally, okaa-san can rest in peace…” Raiden couldn’t help but reminded of her last words, all he did was accepting the reality while Ryoma, fully agreed with what they experienced.

“Let’s go, otou-san!”

Both of them fled from there and heading into the scene.

Maha arrived in front of the tree, although something unusual is happening as his new abilities have begun to release the massive sparkles above the skies. It was in a dome-shaped or structure-based shape that are somewhat looked like a star or a sun. Each sparkles fell down with such grace, before Sanju landed on the branch across him. "What the hell is happening?"

He looked up to the skies, that was the real beauty of the tree and he would love to see all of this alongside his family, especially Kalina's. Sanju wanted to tap his shoulder so bad, but... what if he will attack him? Well... he felt like he wouldn't mind doing that if it hurts him, no matter the cost. He felt his anger was already been dissolved, his eyes has softened and regret came into him--there is no need for an endless battle like this. "Maha... how are you feeling now? Look, if you want to do this; don't let it influence you too much. You probably regretted it by now, right?"

"Sharp as a bird," his body relaxed when the six arms landed on his feet and hugged himself while staring into the glowing sphere. Sanju remembered that he has Kalina's heirloom, so he take out the pendant from the pocket and handed the pendant to Maha. He remembered the first time they met, he went ahead to save Kalina because he knew she was in danger.

"Take it, she might be happy if you have this," Sanju spoke with a low voice, it was enough for Maha to look at the necklace as his green eyes glanced at the heirloom on his hand. "She... kept this, all of this years?" he asked, slowly receiving the heirloom on his gloved hands and his gaze saddened by looking at that.

"So, are you going to give up from this point? This whole thing is confusing and you don't even know what happened. But yes, she will forgive you because she loves you--which is a gift for you."

He didn't want to admit that he already give up, but when he saw the heirloom, and the memories once more--no wonder the souls wasn't going back to their original bodies, what is happening to them now? Are the souls can't go to their original body? He still has the power to continue doing this, he refused to accept this future. "It has been made," he murmured, before he suddenly fled from the branch. Until his eyes widened at the sight of Kalina's lifeless body inside one of the spheres, surrounded by alluring sparkles--meanwhile Sanju also dropped the bomb he wouldn't imagine--before he hit his neck with a hard kick, the claymore's tip manage to slash his throat for a split second until he blocked it with another weapon.

"You really got yourself killed," Sanju hissed, before he swung it down again--dodging every attacks the former unleashed towards him, attempting to push back his attack. Sanju suddenly kicked his leg and evaded his attack, putting the claymore aside on his hand and taking down Maha with kicking him again--until the Core of Asura has landed on Kalina's body; entering the body successfully.

Kalina's eyes slowly opened her eyes, the sphere nearby has entered her body perfectly and then she groaned loudly as she sat up. Sanju stared at her with confused expressions, stunned that even she is here or living. Maha approached her when she stood in front of him, seeing her looked slightly healthy--hundred years hasn't affected her vitality even a bit and she barely get any wrinkles other than the slightly wrinkled cheeks on her faces, he concluded that the energy from the Core has been preserving her.

"Kalina... how have you been?" Maha inquired, before her smile brightened.

Sanju didn't expect this, Kalina would break her legs because she might lost them if her blood were spilled, and when he saw Maha slowly putting the barrier around her. "Maha, don't--"

Kalina transformed into Asura Raksha; one who commands the power and almighty strength under the godly blessing. Maha never thought that a weak immune system can turn her into something more powerful than before, her past self was strong and capable to survive alone in the wild without help. Her long black hair turned into white color with light ashen-blue shades with dark-green streaks that is loosely tied behind her head with a hairpin, her dark brown eyes turned yellow and retained her porcelain complexion.

With a pair of aqua-green horns on her forehead, she has a set of appendages that took form of her white cape. She wears a black Raksha's mask on her eyes, along a pair of golden earrings. She wears an elegant oriental dress coloured dark-green, black and white with gold highlights and silver details around the ends of the dresses.

"Maha, thank you for bringing me here… and, thank you for rescuing me that day…."

Kalina kneels down to greet him, her bright smile still visible when she stand up to him. She is the only person capable of defeating an Asura because of her status. She wields the abilities to strengthen her allies and hindering the enemy from moving while increasing the range. Sanju realized that this has broken the law of nature and it wasn't going to be healthy for anyone, any longer. At least she seemed to enjoy some time with him, "you're welcome…." Maha gave a contented smile to her, seems to be amused at this.

"This is going to be hectic..."

He murmured, knowing something bad will happen. "Kalina... I'm sorry, even though you're my ancestress... I'm afraid I have to do this," Sanju whispered, before he lifted his weapon and hit Kalina's chest--without a second delay. That instantly changed to something dramatic and things were going too intense for him and his allies--his heart sank when he slayed Kalina, the one who will save the world from another crisis that would happen later.

Kalina now 'awakened' as an Asura Raksha, which she roared as his weapon vanished and back to his hand--which she has become an Asura now.

"How come did you know... that I was acting like her?" she asked.

Oh crap, that was acting the whole time? Maha was fooled, which his smile faltered as he stared at her again--while Kalina giggled. Sanju on the other side--damn, both of these Asuras are trickster; the most cunning tricks will bring your downfall if it's a lie. "You two are so dead, after this war," Sanju bluntly said, surprising both of the Asuras.

"Eh?"

Both of them took a glance at each other, Kalina still giggled while he seemed more like he was taken back by his sudden realization--that his eyes were widened. Sanju's face darkened, is he... going to kill his own ancestress in this New World? And the other one would be that bastard from behind her... wait, that is not very surprising. Both Asuras smiled innocently, Maha stared at Kalina's eyes--only for a couple minutes, until they heard several battles echoing from across the sky.

Sanju was already severely wounded by Maha's power, but he still standing and focused more on the Asuras themselves. Blood trickling down from his head and his entire body, as he clenched his grip on his weapon and in a few seconds--his father Radithya came in his Adipati Raksha form.

Radithya became an Exalted Adipati Raksha; one who commands the dawn and the combination of Yin and Yang Aruna Raksha forms he had, his hair color becoming light shade of both gold and amber with dawn-like ombre under his long hair-his horns becoming brown colored with earrings and tags on them; revealing his Exalted form. Wearing a black high Mandarin-collared dress coat with gold outlines and red threads, it has white high-collared sleeveless cloth around his waist and black bodysuit and the black choker body harness underneath, he has black pair of sleeves from his mid-upper arms to his hands that he wears a pair of long black fingerless gloves--with golden claw-like attachments on them.

The four flowing white-gold-red capes are attached on his waist with black-purple and ginkgo flowers within the belt--the gold accents and two symbols of Chinese characters; Yin (陰) and Yang (陽) with golden colored lines on the characters, he retained the capes and armor guards onto his upper arms--he gained a red-gold visor and wears a thigh-high black heeled boots with golden laces and the back heels.

Radithya sighed, before he look back at his son Sanju who got surprised by a sudden arrival. "As you can see, your father... he has a surprise up his sleeve," he said to his son, making him sighed. “Looks like we’re getting prepared then.”

"Hey, I came here because there's no way you can defeat these two on your own. You don't even know what kind of power that the Asura Raksha has!"

He frowned at what his father said, he can't deny that. "Sorry... it's hard to beat him. You don't even know why I made this move at first..." he admitted, slowly understanding the fact that he wouldn't stand a chance if he fights them alone. Apparently, his father is also severely injured from the battle against the Vipralopa-class Phantom Beasts, but he still make it through and made it to his own son.

Sanju began to deal with Maha, while his father Radithya faced Kalina as well--on the process of controlling the Tree of Universe. "Maha!" he yelled, Maha turned to Sanju who decided to settle some scores with him. Once he turned to Sanju, a chain-blade suddenly hit him and pushing him with him--until the Senapati Raksha blew on Maha's eyes, causing him to get startled and flinched. Kalina was wide-eyed, yelling loudly. "Maha!"

Kalina shrieked when Radithya struck her first, receiving a blast of shockwaves that scattered into thin air. "Wherever you're looking for, you still can't see a lot about the outside world for 400 years..." his scarlet-colored eyes looked a tinge of disappointment, almost regretful and he narrowed his eyes as the chain-blade formed upon his grasp. "No matter how much I struggle, father... we're not giving up here. They need it, there is nothing they can do without that... those plants have been dead a long time ago, and nobody else has made that."

Kalina actually amused by Radithya, her smile is unwavering before he slammed his chain-blade--creating thousand black chains crossing each other to block her attack. Instead of the sun or day, the moonlight can hinder her energy, which allows him to access the advantage during the night. No wonder he has the chain-blade, his specialty was capable of fighting against their enemies due to the strengths of different daylight, moonlight and twilight--which he need to be careful over the Asura Raksha. "Kalina!" he yelled, he can hear her laughter looks like an evil witch--to make the situation become worse than this, the whole battle has collapsed and destroyed from one part to the other, the only salvation from that was the forcefield they created together.

It was an illusion she make so her opponents think they were still fighting there, but this wasn't over--that it caught him off-guard. Radithya watched her aimed her appendages towards him, which he snapped his fingers--creating a slow-motion within himself so he could make his moves. He dodged every attacks from her until she tried to hit him from behind, the thing is Kalina had tried to take down some Asura Raksha before. Unfortunately the final blow and the fact that she's his ancestress was the same thing, he may have the same characteristics as her.

"Gah... it's impossible...!" Kalina gasped when her own wounds are closing in quicker than usual, along with the burn scars on her legs that were quickly turned into healing states, even her nervous system did the opposite--as if her own powers betray her due to the final blow from the heir of Adinata clan. Kalina roared when her rage burns through her veins, her hand aiming at Radithya who evaded every attacks which she failed. "You can't keep this forever, you know..."

"Sorry," he said, watching her stood up while gripping on her abdomen. "For a newborn Raksha like you," he said, manifesting his sword on his hand. "You're still a fledgling, have more training."

His condescending and arrogant remarks caused her to get infuriated, before she released her attacks upon him, he responded by giving a powerful magic blows to push back the spells towards her, but... he smirked--it was just a distraction for her. The whole thunderstorm appeared by crossing each others on the skies of the Imaginary Path, Kalina suddenly shrieked when Radithya threw his chains and quickly restrained her before placing the explosive lightning onto her back and face.

"ARRRGHH!!!"

Kalina screeched in pain, the chains was so tight that she can't move--even though her strength was stronger than her predecessors. Sanju saw it as well as he managed to restrain Maha and punched him several times before leaving him alone for a while, throwing him aside. "My deep apologies, Kalina. Even though you're trying to be good... but you've fell into the same fate as Maha before."

Kalina growled, struggling against the chains and staring at her husband from a faraway eyes. "Maha!"

"Kalina!"

Maha yelled, but soon he got kicked by Sanju's foot and made him growled in pain. The Senapati Raksha managed to punch Maha until he retaliate and turned him back, Sanju stumbled backwards and he look back at the Asuras. He couldn't believe what he witnessed, Maha's recovery speed has increased and it is a terrifying rate that it happened during the battle. He now faced Radithya, after capable enough to defeat Maha. "Look, I know what you are doing, to bring back the humanity back and all... but still, have you even imagine it before?" he said to Maha, who look back at him.

"The result will be the opposite from what you envision, the world is no longer safe from your 'despair' and your 'determination', you will fall to the path of destruction as everyone have seen!"

Maha narrowed his eyes, but then he smiled before he let out his signature crazed laughter. Sanju furrowed his eyebrows, tilting his head in confusion. "So what if I go to the hell!? Everyone will know why I killed those people--there's no place for them in this world, so let the animals be their judges, the judge you chose must be terrifying and strong, right? Because I'm the one who will be judged and punished like those humans did--"

Sanju swiftly stab Maha through his forehead and he punched him straight through, creating a bleeding hole on his head. "As long everyone deserved a retribution, even the most horrendous people," Sanju shook his head, he watched the light in his eyes gone and Maha's appearance started to transform again. "Fuck! He's transforming again!"

Kalina yelled in pain as the chains still crushing her appendages, her body soon shattered into thousands of sparkles before they are beginning to reformed into something-large golden sphere with alluring lights.

'What... happening to me? Why I'm... losing my senses, this is very painful. My body... I can't control it--and I'm turning into...'

Her body disintegrated and she screamed again as the pain gets more severe than this. 'He must... must be stopping me, I must stop and put my mind to control him, or I'm...' Radithya quickly converted the sphere and purify the soul as his chains slowly return to their original shape and got pulled from afar.

Maha transformed into a spectral form is completely black with an aura of blue flames, is equipped with an eye on its chest, it has four arms, whereas two of the arms are connected at the hips, a cloth-like tail and no legs. At the back of its form, he has dozens of cape-like energy strips floating, and a large circle composed of medieval symbols at the top of her back. The form is similar to his Asura Raksha form. Both Kalina and Maha can transform together--meaning, they use both of their main forms once. It appeared as three monstrous heads with four horns, the upper-left hand had a black ax-blade, while the lower left hand had a white appendage looking hammer, and the upper right hand had white dragon mask that was connected to the head with a handle. The lower right hand looked like a humanoid clawed hand, while a spiked red wheel spins vertically in its stomach area.

"... FUCK!"

Sanju and his father Radithya cursed at the sudden arrival of this cursed being from the damned hells--it was completely ferocious than the rest, even his previous forms. From a quick analysis, not only it has a long range attacks--but this form's melee attacks are strong enough to outstrip his previous forms. "They just combined themselves from there...!" Radithya shouted, his eyes widened at the sight of it. The Pseudo-Asura let out a growl before blasting the orbs towards him, before he evaded to the side while floating in the air. As he was confident enough with defeating the creature, the Time Runner isn't useful because the creature disabled the effects around it and he had to rely on his efforts.

"Your actions are futile, mortals!" the tendrils are all launched at him, he was about to evade but got smacked back by the scaled appendages and he went back up again.

Sanju huffed as he was clenching on his Brahmastra; Exalted Yudhistira, which has a crown-like figure on his pulled back hilt with ruby in the center, and a glowing outer blade around its physical blade. "Yup, can't use normal weapons as this is not a human form, you will see the answer," he said as he stared down at Maha as he stabbed him with the spear, and that leads him to use a black-red-gold blade weapon and the catalyst-like golden clock appearing beside him before it blast him down, but Sanju only flapped his wings and he floated above Maha with his fist ready to launch forward.

Sanju used his wings and crossed his hands, before he began to release the 'explosion'. "Father, can you use your portals and redirect the incoming attacks there so I can counter-attack it?" Sanju yelled, he flew into space and turned around to see his father giving a sign to him.

"Prepare yourselves, the explosions will coming soon!"

Radithya used the portals and then a great explosion happened due to the combustion--in the process, the tentacles was blown away that the remaining 'power' was transferred, but he got damaged by the huge explosions that it pushed him away to a wall... and Sanju got the damage as well.

"I forgot it consumes our energy to keep going this time, the energy level drained too much," he cringed, watching Maha was also cringing at his defeat while trying to resist the loss. Sanju landed on the tree trunk, heavily exhausted before he use the combined strength of the Yin and Yang Spectramancy--along with his Exalted powers--that enables him to attack the spectral being.

Sanju evaded some of the dark orb-like blasts from the creature, watching the spectral being attempted to made another attack. He leaps upward went down to crush the barriers and armors of the spectral being, watching him growled fiercely as the blood pouring out.

But as soon it was dying from his injuries, Sanju had realized that he gave the second chance. "Maha, make the final strike, once and for all," Radithya said, tapping his shoulders before he handed the spear he take from the ground.

While Maha observed the spear, he glanced back at Sanju who was sitting on the root, Sanju only giving him a small shrug before closing his eyes. He took a deep breath, before aiming the spear towards the spirit as it disintegrating.

The Pseudo-Asura roared angrily as it attempted to attack Sanju, lunging one of the spectral appendages before it got severed by his chains he commanded. Sanju clash his large blade against the shield to break it countless times, despite several bubble orbs of the void still attacking him. The beast swung the two spectral appendages against the Senapati Raksha and Adipati Raksha, which nearly hit him on his ribs but he managed to dodge the attack a bit despite the huge slash--which takes time for him to regenerate his wounds. Sanju withdraws when he watched the orbs began to attack him, he deflected them by swinging his awakened Brahmastra--unleashing the counterattack into the beast. He hissed in pain when he felt a slight cut on his skin, but he didn't give up because this is one last straw.

The spectral being slowly turns darker than black with the red aura menacing, attempting to grasp on his two weapons but couldn't. Sanju close his eyes when he could feel everyone combing their powers into him and his Brahmastra, every colorful effects of the colors combined altogether into powerful ultra-ultimate form. His eyes shimmered with colorful mixed color with a sharp black pupils, he could feel presences of his friends and his father was there too when he did.

At what cost… do I have to make them suffer like I do?

Sanju heard the familiar voice that belonged to Maha while he's facing him, not wanting to let his focus shattered by this.

Why did I have to do this? It doesn't matter anymore… it was both blessing and the curse.

What are you waiting for? Why are you hesitating?

Sanju narrowed his eyebrows as he heard that voice that he broke the shield, using the blast of thunderous blast and saw the shield went down.

I just want them to taste the real peace and joy before they face their death.

Those bastards deserves it, from causing chaos and ruined my life, for tearing up my home and took away my wife...

Well, not all humankind are perfect. How laughable we are.

Yes, I will betray everything. Even these things changed me. Kalina... could you spare this one life if I do this?

Radithya heard Maha's voice, but it was his inner voice that coming back to him. "Sanjaya, let's do this! Remember the plan we planned for a while, since this creature is going berserk!" he reminded, his body glowed with his Exalted power and focused it on his son's shoulder while having a barrier-like protection around his entire body--before letting out his primordial scream filled with vengeance and fury at the creature, making it shrieked in pain.

Sanju and Radithya charged together before the former yelled; taking a deep breath that this will be a final blast and their final attack on him--it was taken from above. As he blasted one that had the bright lights towards Maha, that was going to be huge; he unleashed the sun-like flames around his gear and that because he yelled at them. "Let's end this once and for all!"

The father and son hold their weapons respectively, both Sanju and Radithya roared at the same time;

"Ultra-Combination Wave!"

The chain-blade that controlled by Radithya and the blade that controlled by Sanju combine the blast, which resulted a brighter and intense light is about to blow the smoke.

As he narrowed his eyes he jumped into mid-air and dashing forward, with a swing of his ultimate gear and joining roars; powerfully and ultimately slain him with the bash of their strong blades, a blast of the satellite laser joined their attacks and made the creature crossed with the X-shaped lights that surpassed the beast; ultimately finishing off Maha through destroying the heart of the power and its existence to the Tree of Genesis--Sanju was the front line for the attack--he manage to end him with all costs and win against him with ease.

Maha screamed through his spectral form when the blast emitted from inside, that made them cover their eyes when he went back into his human form. Sanju watched him panting heavily as he wondered if it's completely severed him, he was wounded from the burns that ignited from him. "Finish the two," Radithya said, his son nodded before he sprinted and dashed against both Maha and Kalina who were unable to control their power. "I'm sorry... both of you, for taking the path for no avail and lost everyone you have..."

Sanju went past them, swinging his sword before sheathing it back.
