Chapter ???: Script of Fate

*ೃ༄

The Hyang Seram Island is finally open for public, after their graduation from college.

In the dark of the night in the forest, there's a government agent who seems to carry the files of ADVENT members and their flyers--he seems to be in hurry as he ran off from their sights. In the field, he could hear some footsteps following him. "Admiring my luck, are you, little rats? You'll never see me," he grumbled, continuing to run when he heard someone laughing from behind him. Then, he paused when he felt a slight cut on his shoulder--but he ignored it as he continue to run. However, he froze that the insect-like poison running through his veins as the man fell to the ground before the trees began to get closer to him as the poison affected his mobility. His sight started to became cloudy, trying to see but he can't. The trees were moving as if they were alive; as the person spoke while walking towards him.

"Told you, if you want to take them easily--be smart about it."

Akito spoke, casually holding his katana before sheathing it--looking down at the man in black that stared up at him. "A-Akito Kujou... Insect Raksha..." he muttered, Akito rolled his eyes as his hair went ruffled. "Huh, I'm not the only Raksha out there. Try better than a boring nickname," he spoke, his hazel-brown hues could see his face trembled in fear. "What should I do with you... slicing your organs out? Stab you to death?" he taunted, lifting the man's head up that his mahogany eyes was full of bloodlust. "Which one will it be?"

Meanwhile, Senja wiped the blood from his cheek after he finished getting rid of the government spies who trespassed the organization for their records, his blade covered with blood while he remained serious about it. "Karina, how was it?" he asked, Karina stabbed the men in black to death as their blood splattered from their bodies onto the grounds. "All gone. Are we going to check the others, Senja?" she asked.

Once the men were finished, they put the phone that told them who wanted to take the base under control. Raiden blasted the thunder from his katana into the branch base of operations that belonged to the World Government's spies, creating a loud explosion as Kinana landed on the ground--reverting back from her mecha-humanoid form. "Phew, let's report Sanju about this," he said, the latter nodded. "Alright."

On the other side, Sanju was standing on the small flat rock-like bluff in front of the riverside while rubbing on the cross pendant of his necklace. He watched the moon in the sky for a moment, his now longer bangs of his neckline-length scruffy black hair covered his right eye and his left eye--messily framing over his forehead. His deadpanned expression made him look emotionless, when he was filled with pride and motivation to do what is right--not vengeance, but balance... not of this world. He was reading the documents that filled with World Government's crimes and goals, holding a torch that shone through the darkness that was devouring the lands that belong to humanity.

"You seems to appreciate your friends' hard work, Sanjaya Adinata."

The black cat with a male voice spoke while sitting on the branch above the rock where he stands, looked at Sanju with a proud look as he was the one who gave the missions, being the advisor of the organization's leader. He leapt off the branches, landing in front of Sanju with a mysterious look. 'Thanks to his past experience with helping his father, he had managed to rearrange the parts of the world to make it worthy and balanced without the unnecessary evil.'

The voice told himself, with a smile on his face. "How long have you been 'scripting' me... into doing these missions?" Sanju asked with a rather stoic expression, staring down at the cat that remained seated on the ground. The cat was unfazed by his question, knowing the question he'll receive.

"Do you forget? A trial given to each and every one of you, to stop the insanity spread all over the worlds--ending with only those with evil intentions... to become part of nature, for everyone who was suffering from the atrocities the false rulers have made. Besides, not only I'm the watchdog of the Silver Slumbering Dragon--but it's my duty to be the script supervisor for you, making sure that your sanity didn't go into a spiral of hell."

Sanju narrowed his eyes when the black cat went past him, before he sensed that he morphed into his 'true' form--a young boy with a similar appearance like Salihin along his closed eyes and smile; but seems 'different' compared to his presence. He has a short scruffy white hair with messy bangs and light purple shades, with a longer part of his hair pulled into a short ponytail on his shoulder with black ribbon, his uneven bangs fell upon his closed eyes and cheeks-and has a porcelain complexion. He wears a dark purple formal shirt with light magenta cravat underneath his black collared vest that have a gold-colored tie which wraps around his collar like a chain, along a black pants over his black flamenco shoes with golden back heels.

"Just call me Shaylendra."

Sanju did not respond before he turned to the side, staring at the open night sky after Shaylendra had walked towards him. His dark brown eyes watched the glowing stars, bringing him comfort that nothing could not harm the precious gemstones above them. Bringing him a miracle that miracles does exist after all. "To think that I've accepted the death of hundreds to thousands of corrupted leaders and politicians... for them to redeem and repent for what they have done," he sighed.

Shaylendra let a faint smile graced his pale, fair and lovely features. 'Answers could not reveal the truth that keeps us moving on, before it is too late,' he thought, enjoying the sight of the skies that could never be the same. "Are you ready to become the slave for destiny, as well as to face the grim truth of the wicked abyss that awaited you and your companions?"

Sanju knew he cannot avoid what lies ahead, for the sake of the World's Balance. "You embraced yourself for the destiny that keep changing you, as you embrace the pain of your actions.. like the one who gives you power, you cannot avoid it... that's why you must follow."

The leader of ADVENT turned back at him.

"Are you ready... to become the anti-hero that hides the devil within, for the betterment of this world?" Shaylendra asked, getting onto a branch while his eyes did not move as he was staring at the eyes of an elite general.

"Now that... shall be answered... when I live my life," Sanju responded, with the look that can tell him... he needed his rest as it might take a long time for this mission to be settled.

The 'boy' chuckled with a 'you can do it' nod before the winds are getting fiercer, waving his hair sideward while his hands were in his pockets. "I love your spirit, you remind me so much like how it was... do you like the script that Althair given to you?"

Sanju flinched at the mention, before he stared down with a slightly emotionless look as he murmured, not responding back. "All I want is the answer, after I learn the truth..." he muttered, looking up at the sky. "... about this world, I'm willing to dig even more further--to unfold the World Government's... true plans."

Shaylendra disappeared into thin air, with the appearance of three pieces of paper floated with different characters appears in front of his sight, unreadable from an outsider's eyes. It was part of the script, Sanju knew it. He sensed that his friends of his team has gathered behind him, before he put the pieces of paper into his coat. "Team, I have an announcement to tell."

"What is it?"

"Well... we've been working so hard for this mission, and our team did a good job today... I've got something that probably might help with our new upcoming case," Sanju explained, making the others surprised a little when Sanju gave them each a specific file about their future role in this case. However, they understood that he became Althair's trusted comrade. 'We're with you no matter what happened...' Akito thought, he read the details as he look up at him.

Sanju remained stoic and deadpanned, staring at the darkness beneath him--the void that he can't even sense any feeling that could ruin his mentality, nor he will never talk. After all, there are others to take his role out from him and lead the way towards the world where they've been learning. "When I gave you the script, whether you like it or not--there is no choice but to accept the trials you've been through. It could've been rough... but not enough that you will become shattered completely. However, all of you are my trusted comrades, because Althair trusts me to be the one who will tell the script and the missions that we have. Let's be all we can do is move forward towards the light, even if it brought destruction," Sanju spoke, before he raised the last key-shaped weapon that he carries before he transformed it into a sword.

"As the torch that lights up the world... we fight, just as we live."

Their eyes were shimmering in red, matching with his scarlet-gold ones that were shining, showing that this was the moment they've been waiting for. "I'm no a god, a savior--nor a hero... yet I'm the leader of ADVENT."

'Whether we met the end of the abyss, or we will achieve victory together... There's no turning back for us, we have no choice but to move on with our lives.'

"Yes, Captain."

Sanju smirked, his face darkens like them--revealing their darker sides that appeared since their awaken from the past life. While the thunder has beginning to strike from the dark sky that was turning darker, symbolizes a new chapter for them to fight...

"ADVENT--PRESENT."

Sanju hold onto his katana handle as the sky darkened more before a beam strike at the dark skies above the nightly land, making all of the crows and the animals flies away as the Indonesian leader muttered. "Report your findings," he said, asking for their report regarding their missions and explaining the updates. "Haruna has been 'revived', it seems like something has consuming his mind. In addition, the other government has began their plan to track all of us," Karina said, handing him the files that they gathered from the murdered government agents to which he took it. Sanju nodded, replying. "Noted. Prepare for this and that, we'll meet at midnight. If any intruders disturb us, take them down. Also, make sure that none of you got caught by the government."

There's a reason why he choose them to be part of his team, ADVENT.

He was aware of what happened in the past, if he put Damian in his team--he would disagree with his ideology and goals, while the rest probably doesn't have what it takes to stick with him; especially knowing who's the team he was leading and who was he associated with, knowing the risks of what will he encounter. Haruna also doesn't agree with his ideals when it comes to walking into different path, knowing how enough and tired Sanju was when he was weak back then--but now he has strong ambitions, along with a unique way to find the answers, he cannot afford his old self again--turning weak and scared, while facing what's in front of his sight.

Raiden never judged Sanju's decision regardless if it's right or wrong to join his team and stay in Silver Slumbering Dragon and ADVENT. Even if it means death to anyone who has evil intentions and cruel behavior, it was alright for him... Sanju tried to prevent anything evil happens that could affect the minds and souls of those who had suffered from this in vain. Kanae doesn't think much of his decision, but she was willing to follow his path and making sure he went to the 'right' path--regardless if the consequences is different from their perspective, it will still be the same. Akito was indebted to Sanju after he accepted him to their friends, he wondered why Sanju still cared for him--despite his cunning and heartless ways, perhaps he was just like that until Sanju become the boss of his team.

Senja had the experience, his trust and dedication towards Sanju helped him become Sanju's best friend and compatriot, when he was struggling with his past self when it comes to Phantom Eruption--which he was unable to overcome his trauma. Karina may not know much of Sanju, but she gets along with him as someone he can rely on for help while he helps her with his kind and supportive understanding, knowing that her and Sanju are a really good friends. Kinana looked up to Sanju like a little sister for him and always by his side, seeing a new person who can protect her and protecting the weak even if he has to sacrifice himself... she was willing to help him with his duties and keeping the chaos at bay. Yukito was entrusted by Sanju ever since he met him in Silver Slumbering Dragon, in case he won't be able to remember or lose control by a nightmare.

Sanju watched all of the members nodded, muttering in agreement with his command. "As the Leader of ADVENT... I'll do everything to end this cycle. Until this madness and devastation has consumed my surroundings and myself, we must not go into the shadow... in this mission. As my mission not only to guide you all to protect your freedom and families, but to end this wicked world as well," Sanju responded, turning to the dark skies.

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

'I will not let my enemies dictate my dreams, so long as we all strive to learn, no matter how harsh it can be.'

If we could see that happiness is waiting for all of you, when you decided to embark on your journey to learn the truth beyond your limitations of your own morals; your destiny lies with me.

The black cat watches the teenagers became young adults, each with different personalities, before Sanju turned back at them with a glowing scarlet eyes that seems to be a signal for the start of a great battle, not for them... but for the other people that were forced to suffer under the cruel and merciless hands of the World Government. He smiled solemnly, embracing this darkness as he embraced what's about to come; a different road to being a hero, a betterment of society...

Or an anti-hero...?

Either way, it'll be a never-ending hell that may be beyond their limitations...

Althair was smart enough to make a script for them, he always wanted to find the 'true' destiny that would bring him and them victory; as well as letting them and their descendants will learn to become free, even by death... if one died, he'll know a person to replace the deceased. That's his plan for all this chaos, not just only because he wanted to protect Sanju or protect the world; it was a fair game to make this organization into something better than 'revenge'. However, if the plans did not work--he could always restart the script, while creating the outcome with someone else.

Althair's decision to choose Sanju as the leader of the ADVENT is one; he has experience as a class monitor when he used to be a college student of Garuda University, two; has the determination and courage to accomplish his dreams of bringing the peace and safe for everyone--three; and the fact that ADVENT was making its way towards the world for redemption and they will find the answers, along with defeating their enemies by 'solving' them. But, he decided to 'twist' the script that instead Sanju became the hero--he became the anti-hero. "It'll be more interesting to see it unfold for the betterment of his ideals, it seems he's the one who changed the story instead of Althair..." he muttered, his paw glimmered with its usual and mysterious aura.

It means... Althair is the one who's holding a sharp weapon, the player, the writer. He'll be like a puppet master who manipulate others and all sorts of weapons to fulfill his 'role'. He doesn't hesitate to rid his 'comrades' or an ally from his organization, when they chose a path towards the dark side; he can just 'rewrite' them and that's it. If Althair wrote one specific person's name into the script of this organization, 'chosen' to carry their missions--so long as they obey Althair's orders--they could break free from his 'control'. "An ironic plot twist, huh... seems like the idea 'you' gave to him is way better than before," the silver-white cat spoke.

"Althair once says: 'If I can't be the perfect hero for this New World, then why not an anti-hero or a dark hero to save the rest from the torment of the World Government's hands?' is pretty self-explanatory enough to 'take action'."

The black cat said, as his eyes looks like to be half-open compared to before. As it reverted back to Shaylendra, the silhouette appeared invisibly behind Sanju as he whispered:

"Your decision is all up to you, even if you make this into hell... I'm very impressed by your actions."

Sanju narrowed his eyes towards his ADVENT companions, before he turn his back towards them. "Our next mission is destroying the branch citadels of World Government and gather as many evidence they have been gathered in the past. Let's move out," he gave his order, leaping off the cliff to the river side where the government has begun to launch their offensive attack towards them. His friends of his team were unrivaled, unafraid and undeterred as they had taken the enemies down. Sanju couldn't let him speak the truth behind his despair... by 'unmasking' their true personality.

They nodded, before leaping from the bluff and began their next mission--entering into different ways towards the various cities that holds the remnants of the World Government. "I will let you achieve your true goals and your friends' goals, Sanjaya Adinata... show everyone what lies beyond this world's truth," Shaylendra said with a smile--before he turned into the black cat with light purple swirl, sending a sly smile to himself as the crows gathered behind him with their empty-eyed looks.

While the ADVENT members' eyes are shimmering scarlet and with a similar darkened expression Sanju made, realizing the answer to this conflict; in the battlefield full of crows surrounding them with their menacing face like the demons, the leader of ADVENT faced them before his katana was ready as the scene turn color red, followed by the appearance of Sanju's menacing but confident smirk. "For this reason... as the people seek for an answer..." the wind blows on their coats and capes fiercely, while he hold onto his weapon with his determined look.

"Will you fall into the path of 'freedom'... or the world's 'demise'...?"

His eyes began to slowly glow... a deadly glare that shined upon him when his katana was lifted upwards as the blade was shimming brightly by his gesture, causing the crows and the men in black suits surrounded them like no tomorrow and started to growl when their vision turned bloody, before they heard Sanju's husky voice.

"Then... by all means, let's start this 'mission' of ours... ADVENT."

Sanju spoke in front of the screen, before he made a cut that made the glass breaks.

***

In their mission, Sanju approached the flag of the World Government, before he cut the symbol of the world all together; symbolizes the end of the old and beginning of a new timeline with a new story. "Bring the branch leader, save the prisoners alive in the lower area. Also, burn the documentation of their own organization so that no one would like to rule the world ever again," he commanded, making them nodded as they start shooting the documents and files to finish their cases and finally letting the people redeem themselves.

Althair watched them from the distance with his Silver Slumbering Dragon organization members, Haruse, Salihin, Aldiano, Renata, Icha, Radithya, Ryoma and lastly Yukito who were holding three of Akito's cats--observing them from the cliff. Radithya watched his son Sanju with a proud look on his face, he does not doubt his son at all as he managed to teach his kid what is the meaning of life and show the difference path. He also observed, on how his daughter Kinana was able to grow up like this, not to mention on how professional she became with this line of work. While the others were impressed that Sanju grew from his past as a scared person to this and help his close friends to open their own minds as a unique team, they also doing this to overthrow the World Government. That's their reasons why ADVENT and SSD were separated, but work together into achieving their own goals in their own way.

"Althair, how was the script?" Radithya asked, the said man smiled. "Wonderful."

"I'm glad to hear it. So, who's the next character of this script you are writing?" Aldiano questioned, folding his arms as the Silver Slumbering Dragon symbol on his waistcoat glowing in its usual magnificent white aura with a gray background. Renata listened silently, while Icha put down her handheld game console--waiting for his response.

The rest waited for the answer from the head of this organization.

The lunatic who claims to see destiny, leading a bunch of powerful individualists alike--the ones who carries their own morals, for a reason to help those in need regardless if it's evil to others and protecting those who fight for the truth. I wonder how their lives must've been like to accept that role, much to Althair's decision...?

Salihin prepared the script book on his hand, waiting for Althair's next vision to create another part of the script which is full of mischief. The latter hummed to himself, searching for someone among the sea of this realm--waiting for someone that has the capabilities and the leadership that needs to be fulfilled. Of course, the one that might be connected with them or their ideals. Once he found the character, he chuckled with glee as he thought. 'Well well well, the story is far from over. Find the preserver for the protagonist in the next path, before the Phantom Eruption will begun... who knows if those Phantom Beasts appear on the other side again."

Althair explained, while Salihin wrote the important events for the chapter--their previous missions and how the decisions changed it, as well as what happens right now before their next mission comes. He couldn't help but observing how their movements that cannot be seen, nor the strategies for the next mission will be carried. "His name?" Renata asked, playing with the strings on her fingers. He can't explicitly explain the person's name or his identity to protect his chosen.

"Would he able to lead this people's way to a path towards the true evolution of freedom? Despite what path he'll take?"

That would be answered when everything goes awry... before all becomes lost. It would depend if the person is a brave, determined and a unique individual who has strong will or someone who's more a follower, a faithful soldier that doesn't complain if he was given to--not to mention with an inner light to express his strong will, bravery and determination. "Let's hope that you learn how to break free from this story, without minding its possibilities that you think it is impossible to escape--everything is connected and it doesn't always far from your path."

Salihin wrote the name of the protagonist, before he look up with his eyes closed and channeled his ability to transfer this 'script' into the script supervisor--into the city of Jakarta.

The CEO was seen working in his office in the shadows at evening, before he received the 'script' of the history that has been written by an unknown writer or perhaps an infamous author that no one had recognized. His ruby eyes narrowed under his brown sunglasses and thick strands of his light gray-silver bangs from his slicked hair, his cold expression subsequently changes a little at the lines on the letter inside the envelope. A smirk crept up on his lips, as he thought: 'How fascinating...'

He wrote the letter, before he closes his eyes... remembering his life back in his reality and the other that was full of lies. His 'true' self will no longer need to be faked, before he closed the curtains, signaling his secretary not to disturb him while he's writing. After he finished, he knew he'll meet his rivals who are all corrupted by despair and how low their vision became... if they dare to go against him. "You're the chosen one who'll cleanse this world from their sins, whether you enjoy it or hate it--it's no matter what. For the government of Indonesia, I will wait for you until you 'meet' us."

The latter spoke, closing the lamp before he walked to his chair where his desk lies with all of his company business affairs in the dark of his private office.

In the city of Riverside...

Althair has tasked the ADVENT to destroy the city that filled with World Government's secrets and one of its source of energy in order to find the most important thing to the leaders of World Government, if it 'mysteriously' gone missing from their organization. This city is known for its intelligence of science, arts and research by the most talented scientists, thus being used for nefarious purposes and military resources to produce the chemical and weapons for their 'New World' to arise.

"From here... the story begins."

With a devilish smile on his lips, he muttered. "Kill all of the soldiers and destroy the entire city, make the people leave this place--then find every information and take the crystals to prevent the 'serum' they were making for the World Government."

Sanju ordered, cutting their enemies apart and destroy everything he saw; the buildings, the cars, the research facilities, their entire factories and the World Government's organizations with his subordinates. Raiden could feel the thrill he felt from it, but he was getting itchy from not fighting against some of the soldiers of the World Government for it--to which Senja have to pin him from his collar to prevent him to mess around and make another damages they didn't do. "Yes, Captain."

They responded, the leader was also on a mission with his sword in his hands as he attacked while defending himself from his enemies, following his team to search for every laboratory they have in this entire place and finally destroy it before it's too late.

They also destroy the base of operation of World Government's military and create chaos in their forces, Raiden slammed his katana upwards--creating a massive thunder attack as he destroyed the helicopters as the government's soldiers were screaming and being burnt into crisp. Akito thrusts his blade of his katana as he went past the soldiers, before the purplish-colored marks of his poison running through their veins to all of the enemies they encountered. Kanae spun her glaive before she slammed it against the ground and made a massive wave of fire attack that burnt them into dust.

"What are you going to destroy, E-23 Missiles in the missile base?" Kanae asked, as Sanju used his teleportation to phase onto another area for an infiltration, before using his telepathy to tell her the answer in their minds as it was spoken. "Take 26% percent of it, along with the serum. Haruna is very specific," he spoke, raising his eyebrow. "Besides, he's not getting away with this."

Kinana blasted all of the soldiers using her gauntlet in her mecha form which was formed into a beam, before they entered into the lab. "We have to stop them from creating those missiles and that serum they use," Sanju told them, pointing his index finger to the latter before each of them nodded. Senja bashed his sword against the troop of soldiers and left them bleeding to death, while Karina using her glaive to severe their limbs apart.

Yukito pierced some of them, taking their crystals as Raiden, Akito and Kanae made sure they'd taken everything related to the power and the crystals from them to prevent it from reaching their hands, while Sanju gathered the documents to observe and understand their progress regarding the project--if there's any significant details about their New World.

They only use their Raksha forms if it involved Phantom Beasts, they began to use them when they encountered one in the island--from Emperor to Vipralopa-class ones.

Then, he looked up when his senses told him that someone was watching them after he got the information for his men, taking the crystal while searching for more details--telepathically trying to determine who was it that following him. "Set this place on fire, force the innocents to leave this island before its too late for them," he gave them the order, watching his team activating the fire alarm and all of the gas that coming from the vehicles his companions riding it for distraction, making a massive explosion from all corners of this building to make it appeared like an accident as a quick thinking tactic. The rest of the world will never know what had happened with this whole incident and the history they conceal.

"Core of the Samsara, there you are..."

Sanju muttered, watching the large golden orb that shimmered with gold and orange bright in front of them, before he hold the Core with his glowing hand while the building turning into a blazing inferno. Senja was the one who carry it, carrying it with Kinana to place it inside the tank while Althair takes his report, along with their findings and the documentation they stole. "Let's retrieve this to Althair, he need to neutralize this and prevent the serum's usage in case they plan something by replacing them with the 'dangerous' materials--for either sabotage, traitors or a failure," Sanju explained, turning to the side while the other soldiers of the World Government were running inside the complex after discovering about their activity and attempted to arrest the responsible. "Typical."

The island was filled with inferno as they were watching them, leaving the place to search for the targets--allowing the flames of destruction take over and spread onto the island's civilization for the purpose of justice. No one would be able to recover this tragic moment, while they were traveling to Althair's organization to find them.

The Path of Yaksha has just begun.
