Sho Ta moved through a less traveled path, stepping away from the base of the administrative hall mountain. The path became darker as the trees grew higher and higher, and for a few moments, the sunlight couldn’t even reach the ground. Grass advanced into the paved path slowly and after a couple of minutes, the path remained no more.
Sho Ta stopped in a small circle surrounded by large White Oak Trees, weeds and wild bushes covered the patch.
“I thought you were bringing me to senior Wa’s shop.” Aiden asked when Sho Ta stopped in the middle of the patch.
“Brother An, don’t worry. We will go there.” Sho Ta smiled, a hint of mockery slipping into his smile. His eyes were searching for someone like a wild goose searching for food.
A faint aroma of something sweet wafted over the air, followed by a young woman with a voluptuous body stepped out of a thick bush. Her body moved so gracefully that no leaf or dirt stuck to her pristine, white, silky dress.
“You both are here,” the woman said, her gray eyes scanning him like a butcher eyeing the meat on the chopping board. Her thin lips broke into a smile and a flirty gaze roamed around him. “A handsome junior. I like it.”
“And you are?”
“She is senior sister Ha Tu. Bow quickly.” Sho Ta elbowed him as he bowed deeply in front of her.
She circled around him, her eyes sticking to him like a leech. “Not bad, junior. Just for the sake of your beauty, I won’t beat you. Hand over your pills and mana crystals and you are free to go.”
Aiden chuckled inwardly. This was a daylight robbery. Someone was feeding the information about the new disciples to these vultures. Or was it about him only?
“Beautiful sister, what cultivation level are you?” Aiden asked casually. Although he didn’t sense any danger from her, he used her lower guard to question.
Spectral Sight
Mana gushed out of his mana core, and a system message popped into his mind. Ha Tu had a layer six Refinement Realm cultivation and her mental and soul strength was negligible.
“Li An, sister is layer seven. Very powerful,” Sho Ta answered. “Quickly, give her your crystals and pills, and vow your undying loyalty to her. Quickly.”
Aiden chuckled. Either Sho Ta was telling the lie, or Ha Tu lied about her cultivation level to everyone.
“Lying to me, how naïve.” Aiden swiftly moved and grabbed Ha Tu’s throat with his right hand and Sho Ta’s throat with his left hand. They tried to free themselves, but Aiden’s fingers gripped around their soft throats tightly.
“What the fuck are…” Sho Ta cried out, but his words choked inside his throat as Aiden squeezed their throats.
Ha Tu's eyes blazed with fury as she glared at him.
“Who are you both? And who tipped you off about me?” Aiden asked casually. Those two were like chickens and he could really kill them, but he didn’t want to repeat what he did with the alchemy hall disciples. Killing people was troublesome, and unless he had a solution, he won’t do that.
Sho Ta tried to speak, but Aiden didn’t loosen his grip. Instead, he relaxed the grip around the woman’s throat.
“Beautiful sister, answer quickly. I don’t have lots of patience.” Aiden squeezed Sho Ta’s throat, forcing him to squirm like a fish out of water.

“Who are you? How can you be at layer eight?” She coughed.
“It doesn’t matter.”
“Let me go.” She coughed hard, her breasts shaking up and down.
Aiden sneered as he squeezed her throat one more time. “Answer me first.”
“Please… don’t kill me.” She pleaded.
“Talk. Who asked you to target me?”
“Brother Ha, he said a new red card disciple is coming and we should empty his pouch,” she replied.
“Who the fuck is this brother, Ha?” Aiden asked.
“He is sister Wang Renmei’s follower.” Ha Tu coughed hard, her arms tried to bore into Aiden’s fingers to no avail.
“This woman again. What is her cultivation level?” Aiden asked. Wang Renmei. This woman was coming into the picture again and again, but he hadn’t seen her yet.
“Layer nine, peak stage.”
“Which hall is she part of?”
“Alchemy Hall,” Ha Tu answered, her face turning light blue.
Aiden released his grip from their throats and grabbed their left hands while ignoring their violent coughs.
“Let me go. You will regret it.” Ha Tu cried out.
“Empty your storage pouch first,” Aiden said calmly.
“You can’t rob us,” Sho Ta cried out, fear clear in his tone. “We are senior sister Wang Renmei’s people. You will regret this.”
“You can rob me, and I can’t. What a hypocrite.” Aiden twisted their elbows. “Open your pouches quickly. I don’t have the entire day. I’ve to find a cave to live on.”
Sho Ta opened his pouch and handed it to Aiden. There were two Foundation Breakthrough Pills and other random pills inside.
“You too.” He twisted Ha Tu’s arm behind her back and squeezed it hard. “Be quick.”
“You are hurting me. You are a demon.” Tears rolled down her cheeks.
“Demon, how can you harm a beautiful woman?”
Aiden slapped him so hard that he flung into the thick bushes and lay on the ground unconscious.
“You killed him, demon.”
“He is alive.” Aiden snorted. “If you don’t give me your pouch, you will face the same consequences.” He warned.
She sobbed while retrieving a pouch from her cleavage. “Please let us go.”
Aiden scanned the pouch. It only had a couple of pills and two blue crystals. Those must be Mana Crystals.
“Are you hiding any other pouch?” He asked.
She shook her head, tears rolling down like a stream.
Aiden grabbed her with both hands and checked her carefully, ignoring her complaints when he inspected under her breasts. As expected, the bitch hid a pouch below her left breast.
“Are you going to hand it over, or you want me to rip your clothes?”
Ha Tu teared up as she retrieved the pouch and handed it to him. It had four Foundation Breakthrough Pills and a dozen of herbs and a few flowery underwear. Throwing those underwears away, he emptied her and Sho Ta’s pouch inside his pouch before walking away from there.
“You will pay for this. No one can steal my stuff,” she shouted from behind. “You will understand my words in the next weeks quest.”
Snorting, Aiden increased his pace. It wasn’t even a day before he was schemed against. This was a harsh warning. He wasn’t powerful enough to go against these bastards.
“I can’t take this lightly. I’ve to read through the rulebook first.” He scanned the pouch and there was a rulebook for the outer sect disciple.
First day as an outer sect disciple and people had tried to rob him. Things weren’t going to be as smooth as he hoped for.
Despite having a name, the Holy Realm, this world wasn’t a righteous world. To live in this world, he couldn’t have a simple heart, nor attitude. This was a dog-eat-dog world, and he had to become the top dog to survive.
