Mia woke suddenly, jolting to her feet. Before immediately collapsing back down. The fear still ripe from their encounter with whatever... That THING was. They attempted to stand once more, but fell again. Something was wrong...
She tried to speak, but the sound that came from their mouth was alien. The vocal chords needed to make sound entirely missing. She attempted to raise a hand to hear throat but... What came into view was no hand. It was instead, a paw. Panic followed suit.
I know I saw 'Lesser wolf' on the... Class page. But it didn't really sink in until I actually... Saw the wolf part.
Mia stood motionless, staring into their shimmering reflection in the water. After she'd calmed down she shambled around for a few minutes until she could walk normally. It was kind of like trying to walk on both arms and legs, which was fairly easy when you actually tried. But your "arms" were actually built to be walked on.
It was dark, but the moonlight was fairly bright tonight apparently. In her reflection stood a... Very dark wolf. To be simple. To be more exact, her coat was pitch black and well. She wasn't quite sure how large she was, maybe trees here were just particularly big and this was a huge pond, but... She was pretty small. If she wasn't guesstimating wrong... She'd say she was about a foot tall? And about twice that in length.
Bit small for a wolf... Let me take another look at this, the... Voice. Said I needed to fight to level up, so surely I've got something that would help with that? Cause unless I happen to be a normal size for monsters... Status.

Those... Seem pretty damn low! But then again I don't have anything to compare them with either. But... 4 charisma? Really? I know I was bad with people but FOUR? I wasn't that bad, yeesh... For now i'm just gonna assume anything below double digits is probably bad. So dexterity is my best score. And i'm also gonna have to assume it's not dexterity in the conventional sense cause... How in the world would that help me with paws? Alright, nothing particularly impressive here, surely there's something? Class!
Mia, lesser diminuitive wolf.
Level 1.
Class skills, Apprentice tracking I.
Skills,
Stat gain, +4 strength, +3 dexterity, +2 constitution.
Alright! That's some pretty nice stat growth!... I think. Once again, nothing to compare it with. Ugh. Though if my strength gains almost half of its current value per level up.. I can probably guess that it's pretty low huh...? And if that's normal stat gain... Yikes. My con gain is... Let's not think about this for now.
So! Leveling up! Have to... Kill stuff. Huh. How am I supposed to... find something to kill?
After an extensive search Mia felt something at the edge of her consciousness. A hunch, a sense of something that wasn't there. Or was it?
She sniffed at the air. An odd scent flitting through her nose. She'd obviously noted her heightened senses ever since turning into a monster. But this was something more tangible, something real. They began following the trail, pulled along by the air that thickened by the moment.
Thinking about what they might be tracking didn't exactly cross Mia's mind. It was more of a, follow the flow moment. Rather then any conscious thought being given to the effort they just followed their nose.
And that was both a good, and bad thing. The good! As Mia got closer and closer, a creature came into view. A Squirrel looking creature hanging onto the side of a tree. The bad!
"SKREEE!"
It came flying right at Mia.
