Cooper weaved through the wagons, careful not to poke holes in places they shouldn't be. There luckily wasn't much weaving, the wagons were mostly back on the road in a nice line, but some were still either in the process of being moved or hadn't been touched yet as the owners were busy. Soon enough, Cooper found Tommy upright and talking with Darren.
"That's not the point though, Tommy. It shouldnt've happened regardless, even if it worked out okay." Cooper heard Darren say.
"Are you saying that- Oh. Hey Cooper." Tommy interrupted himself when he saw Cooper.
"Hey guys, how's it going?" Cooper said, with only a small tone of awkwardness from interrupting the conversation.
"It's going. How you doing Cooper?" Darren asked, seemingly glad to be interrupted.
"Got these things from Rull. Ardel and Razar already tested them too and said they were good in their opinion but I might as well have you guys try them too." Cooper presented the weapons, spear towards Darren and axe towards Tommy.
"This things a bit smaller than I'm used to, but I'll give it a whack, I'll try the spear after Darren's twirled it around all fancy like too, I'm weapons proficient with most anything." Tommy said, taking the axe and slashing through the air with speed Cooper wasn't expecting.
"Likewise for me, I'd like to see that axe too. And if by fancy twirling you mean deadly moves that could take you apart in seconds, sure, Tommy." Darren responded with a bit of sass, thrusting the spear forward three times in such quick succession that Cooper wasn't actually sure it was three times and then some of his orb stuff, directing it forward and moving it around several spear lengths away from the tip until he shot it into the forest, exploding in a flash of light far into the forest.
"Didn't want to alarm anyone by making it explode close, anybody that doesn't know it's me wouldnt've seen it." Darren explained, then Examined the spear. "Good spear, especially for you, I get the feeling." Finishing up with the spear, he waited for Tommy to be done with his Examination of the axe.
"It'll do, pretty good too, especially for free, I had to turn my pouch upside down for my greatsword from Rull." Tommy said, handing the axe over to Darren and grabbing the spear in exchange. "Darren's smarter than me and I can already tell I'm just gonna end up repeating what he said, but Naga scale is good for spears. Good money too."
"Yeah, Razar and Ardel said the same thing about Nagas, offered to take me hunting for them if we came across Naga territory." Cooper said with a questioning tone, hoping to get more information.
"You got both of these for free? These are quite good. I don't see Rull parting with these for nothing." Darren asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, the spear I got for free, the axe is a debt I intend to repay." Cooper explained.
"I sure hope you intend to pay the man, Rull's one of the better smiths around these parts, sure there are better but they're all grandmasters and wouldn't give us lowly peasants the time of day with how busy they are with orders from nobles and rich people, not that I blame the smiths, mind you." Darren tossed the axe in the air a couple times, getting the weight of it. "If Razar and Ardel are serious about Naga hunting, I wouldn't pass on it if the opportunity would come by, they're right it's good money, just be careful, Naga's aren't some pack of weak goblins. You want to take a look at my spear? I had it made by someone you could count as a step below a grandmaster smith." Darren asked an elated Cooper.

"Absolutely! I would love to compare to the spear Rull showed me, it was enchanted, which I'll assume yours is as well." Cooper said and held out his hand.
"It is." Darren said, handing his spear over.

"Holy shit." Cooper said in a low tone, staring at the spear in silence for a moment. "Why are some of the materials question marks?"
Darren laughed. "It's pretty good right? I worked hard for it so it better be. The question marks are there because the smith or the enchanter hid the materials name, usually for the sake of competition. Making weapons, armor and the like is not as straightforward as you'd think so when a smith has a secret few or no other people know, they keep it. Some, like Hydra Leather or the Light Crystal are obvious, so there's no point in hiding it. If you know what you're looking at, you'd know the handle has Hydra Leather in it, same with the Light Crystal. Easiest and as far as I know, only way to get the Light Magic Attunement in an enchantment."
Cooper took mental notes while Tommy was stabbing the butt of the spear into the ground. "Fancy lads need fancy enchantments. I ain't got the need for any fancy magic in my greatsword." Tommy huffed.
"So what does the Light Magic Attunement do? I assume it allows you to control the orb?" Cooper ignored Tommy, much to Tommy's dismay.
"It doesn't allow me to control the orb, just enhances my control over it. It also helps with any other Light aligned spells when using my spear, even if the spell doesn't actually have anything to do with my spear, say, I cast it out of my hand."
"Oh, I see, so there's one for each element of magic or whatever? I have so many questions." Cooper almost drooled.
"I have come at a bad time and I will leave now." Razar said, having heard Cooper's last statement.
"Oh. Hey Razar. What did you come here for?" Darren asked, not knowing what Razar was going on about.
"The Captain said it's time to talk about what happened today and to come get you three."
