"This ones enchanted, you can give it a couple of testing thrusts and test your ability if you want, but I can't be going around giving goods like this for free, so a more permanent addition will have to be one of the other two." Rull explained to Cooper. "Though you're welcome to come back to this one later if you grow a liking to it."
"Wait, hold on, you're saying you'll give me one of the other two for free?" Cooper asked, confused.
"Yup, I heard you weren't completely useless out there, probably saved someone's life, figured this'll be good payment for that."
"Well, okay then. I'll give the enchanted one a go for my ability, just for the fun of it, feel the difference, if there is any when you're not hitting anything." Cooper grabbed the enchanted spear Rull was holding and Examined it.

"Woah, that's alot of stuff. I don't really have anything to compare this to, but I'll assume this is pretty decent overall, less so on the enchantment?" Cooper asked Rull, who'd been eyeing him with a strange look.
"Yup, the enchantment unfortunately didn't take too well with just the one material type and the combination. A different metal and wood type would've been better with Wind Elemental dust, but it's all I had and didn't have the heart to pay for more suitable materials. It wasn't my best work but good enough to get enchanted." Rull explained thoroughly enough to sate Cooper's curiosity. "It's still good, I'd say in the top 5 of weaponry I'm currently carrying. I make better stuff, but usually those are custom orders because of the materials required."
"So, if I were to get you the materials to make a weapon, you'd make one? I assume there's payment for work done, but it'd be way cheaper if I got the materials?"
"Yeah, that's about it. I charge more for difficulty of work, but we can talk about that if you ever get to that point."
"Fair, I'll give this and my ability a couple tries now, if you don't mind." Cooper weighed the spear in his hands.
Rull nodded. Cooper walked over to the ditch and jumped over. Once over the ditch, Cooper motioned for his Stalker to stay on the other side of the ditch. Cooper took a stance that felt natural to him, left foot forward, spear in his right hand, left hand free. Cooper thrust the spear forward a couple times, getting a feel for it. It felt light and strong, but more importantly, it felt right. He wanted this spear, but that would have to wait until he could get a hold of money or something to trade for it. Cooper put that out of his mind and focused on his task. He thrust forward again, this time trying to use his ability, willing it to work. His thrust reached it's end but nothing happened. He tried a couple more times, but clearly, it wasn't working.

"Hey, Rull, you mind if I do some target practice with that small tree over there?" Cooper asked Rull, who was watching his failed attempts.
"Sure, go ahead, doubt it'd damage the spear, if it does, nothing a bit of blacksmith magic won't fix."
Cooper nodded, walked over to the aforementioned small tree and took the same stance. He thrust again, trying to make his ability work, as he was about to hit his target, his Stalker appeared behind it, who eagerly bit into the middle of the small tree.
"Well, seems to work. Seems useful, too. That about cover it?" Rull asked, seemingly content with Cooper's display.
"Yeah, thanks again. It's a good spear. I think. Not much experience with them, yet." Cooper smiled back.
Cooper hopped back over the ditch, his Stalker following him. He held the spear out for Rull. "Here you go, I might want it later, if you've still got it by then."
"Sure, just know, it's not very cheap."
"Yeah, I figured, but I think it's worth saving for."
"Good choice, biased as I am. So, the two others, which one do you want?"
"Well, can I feel those out too? And Examine them?"
Rull nodded, Cooper grabbed the first one.

"The tip on this one is Naga Scale? Also, negative durability, how long could I expect this one to last without maintenance?" Cooper's curiosity was piqued once more.
"Yeah, Naga Scale is great with Loxite and the poison ain't bad. Loxite isn't very durable, but very good damage-wise. It should last you a good while, can't give you an estimate over weeks or months because usage varies so much, but it should last through any dungeon run, several most likely, but wouldn't recommend taking it as your only weapon for wandering through the wilderness."
"Ah, okay. It might not fit me eventually, but right now it seems better of the two. I'll give it a test stab or two." Cooper took a few steps to the side and stabbed a few times. It felt good in Cooper's hands. A little rough, but balanced and well made, not too heavy. "I think I'll take this one, even without testing the other one, this one's good enough and the poison's a good enough of a selling point."
"Alright then, I'll close this up and you can keep that one."
"Hey, before you do, you happen to have some axes I could look at too?" Cooper asked with a smile.
