Frost’s heart fluttered restlessly against her chest. It felt like it wanted to escape, beating audibly as she walked down one of the warm corridors of their home. Jury accompanied her, her head bobbing with the same enthusiasm she always had, but never tended to show all the time.
The floorboards groaned, and Frost repeatedly glanced at the newly installed windows, fidgeting with her hair as one half of her grew restless, and another self-conscious of the fact that tonight would be another intimate night.
Few words were spoken between them. Instead, their hearts exchanged words, transmitted through their arms that occasionally bumped into one another. Frost eyed Jury’s tail expectantly, wondering when it was going to wrap around her waist.
The moonlight shone through the clear glass, painting the walls with their shadows. Soon, the voices from the atrium disappeared entirely. Frost was arguably the most sociable person out of everyone else, but she suddenly felt embarrassed when she tried to say something to break the cascading silence.
So, she suddenly plopped her head onto Jury’s arm, a soft sigh venting from her moist lips.
“What took you so long to come back?” Frost asked, staring down the hallway at their room’s door. “Did they show you something cool?”
“Are you jealous?” Jury playfully hummed.
“The Main Branch sounds like a place worth visiting. I wanted to see how the Arms are manufactured. How they have their industries laid out so we can learn something. I would’ve loved to stroll around with you.”
“Mhm. Me too. You were with that Corrupted today. Mimicry?”
“Yep. We have another Alter Frost on our hands. What’s next? A Cat eared me?” Frost jokingly said, although, there was truth in her words.
If there were no limits on the forms that her Alter Frosts could take, then it was entirely possible to come across one. Hell, maybe even one with a gun could one day make an appearance.
“I’d love that.”
“I feel like everyone’s looking forward to a me they can pamper.” Frost laughed. “But I think I’d rather see a wolf eared version of you too.”
“An Alter me?”
“Not that they exist. It’d be fun though. Imagine an army of us.” Frost’s eyes then narrowed as she fell into deep thought. “Mimicry feels like it’s the strongest Alter Frost. Having the ability to read the minds of people it eats sounds incredible. I wonder how it’d get along with the Hired Arm.”
“You can’t bring it up here?”
“Not until I’m sure it won’t try to attack anyone. I know Corrupted don’t really have a choice in who or what they are, so it’s a matter of changing them. Mimicry seems willing to as well. That’s enough for me to give it a chance. What do you think?”
“If it’s an Alter Frost, then mhm. Why not? It’s hard to tell if it’s deserving. We know that a lot of people we’ve fought will end up becoming Condemned. I can’t bring myself to forgive people like the Blood Moons or Gambit Teams.”
“Neither can I.” Frost firmly agreed.
She was willing to forgive a literal incarnation of a nightmare, but not those criminals. In her eyes, they were worse than Mimicry, and it went to show how far Frost’s morals had changed since she arrived in this world.
The mood unexpectedly became heavy, and Frost apologized for it.
“Oh, that reminds me – I bought one of these.” Jury suddenly reached into her Dimensional Storage as she turned away from Frost.

Moments later, she equipped something onto her head and turned around, revealing a sight that nearly caused Frost’s heart to stop beating.
“What the- T-they have animal ear accessories in this world!?” Frost shouted in a whisper, fighting the urge to reach up and rummage through Jury’s hair. “No way. Are those real, or are they fake? They have to be fake, right?”
What she wore was a headband with two white, fluffy, artificial wolf ears atop her head. They perfectly meshed with Jury’s hair and if she didn’t know any better, then she would have believed Jury to be a Wolf Demi-human.
“Of course they’re fake. I wouldn’t buy real ones. Mmm. Frost, you know I wouldn’t do that. We both know Brandar isn’t anything like Grandis. Seeing that level of brutality is rare here.”
“Yeah. You’re right about that. Sorry. My mind instantly jumped to somewhere dark.” Frost muttered apologetically, recalling the cruel process of Demi-humans who had their animal characteristics hacked off in Grandis.
Just the thought of it caused her blood to boil, and as if sensing this, Jury lowered her head.
“Wanna pet me?”
There was only one correct way to respond to this.
“You know I’d love to. C’mere~” Frost indulged in petting Jury’s head, combing her fingers through her hair as they finally reached the door to their room. “That reminds me. How do you take care of your hair? Is it just with my bi-daily [Cleanse]?”
“It’s natural! I think? Have you ever seen an Angel with bad hair?”
“Now that you mention it…” Frost mumbled to herself, thinking about the Arbiter and the Beholders regarding their hygiene.
Did they even shower? Or did healers [Cleanse] them too? Were their RESIST levels so high that it was physically impossible to become dirty? Even though she didn’t speak a word regarding her train of thought, Jury seemed to be able to read her mind as she answered with:
“Does it matter?”
“Not really. Just weird when you throw Cer into the mix.”
“Frost.” Jury’s voice suddenly intensified as the door slowly creaked open, revealing blue double bed.
It was situated beside a glass door, which led to a balcony. The parted curtains revealed the boundless sight of the distant plains and mountains, as the light of the full moon painted the walls a gentle blue.
“Please don’t mention anyone else. It’s just the two of us right now.” Jury’s eyes mellowed, her words instantly sedating Frost into a lovable trance as they stood by the doorway. “I want you to only think about me. I don’t want to feel like I’m the only one that can’t think of anything else but you.”
“You’re always on my mind.” Frost cooed, finally feeling something slowly wrap itself around her waist as the duo made their way inside.
Jury carefully dragged her to the edge of the bed, where she pulled Frost to sit on her lap, all the while she allowed her to rummage through her hair. Eventually, Frost moved her hands down to Jury’s tail, where she made a proud, flushed face.
“Softer than ever. I didn’t decorate it much since I wanted to get your input too.” Frost said, her moist eyes moving around their moonlit room. “This is our home, so let’s build it together. That’s what I thought.”
“I’d love to have a mirror.” Jury hummed, right as Frost tilted her head up.
“Aren’t my eyes enough for you?” She slyly hummed, finally getting Jury to blush deeply.
And this seemed to awaken something in her too. Suddenly, she took both Frost’s arms and secured them high above her head as she loomed over her, a hand cupping her cheek.
“Jury?”
“You shouldn’t tease a wolf…” Kisses were planted on the side of Frost’s tender nape, causing her to squirm delightfully, right before the headband fell off with a small clank.
“What wolf?” Frost laughed, as did Jury.
Slowly, she carried Frost and slipped her onto the bed, her tail still attached to her waist. She stood just inches away from her knees, basking in the moonlight as she began to undress, the white coat silently slipping away after various clicks and undone buttons.
“Frost…”
“It’s beautiful…” Frost was speechless as her lover revealed her white, babydoll dress which hid underneath her apparel. Various parts were transparent, revealing her gorgeous curves, abs and flawless, flushed skin that begged for contact.
Frost instinctively moved backwards, allowing Jury to collapse onto her as a knee slipped between her legs. The scent of roses instantly embraced her as a comforting heat radiated from her lover.
A hand moved down to cup her cheeks, a thumb caressing her skin before she sealed her lips against hers. Frost allowed it to happen, surrendering to the heat as her body began to yearn for hers, a hand sliding into her shirt to feel the softness of her stomach.
“There are so many things right around the corner. Can you feel it, Frost? My heart’s racing because it wants you. All this stress and anxiety… Let’s let it all wash away.” Jury tenderly admitted, her eyes drowned in a fog of lust.
Frost reached out to her and brought her head down to her chest.
“It’s not just you. I guess this proves I’m still human. Jury. All of me belongs to you, so…”
“You don’t have to tell me. I’ll do it again and again. Frost… please let me eat you.”
“Mm. Go right ahead.”
