Standing in front of the gate , Alex addressed Sarah “we’ll need more vr equipment for the colony .

Can you handle that?” he said .

“I’ve already been diverting equipment and filling some warehouses but can’t the colony produce those ?” she replied .

Da’grass answered , “if certain materials are delivered to the colony , there’s no problem in producing the equipment.

But keep in mind that most industry is focussed on building the colony itself and the spaceships you ordered to be built Alex”.

Start ordering materials that the colony could use but is not capable of producing itself , Da’grass .

“Well , how about opening the gate now and check things out” said Alex .

With a hum , the gate activated and they had a direct view of the city on the other side .

“The gate is stable and ready for use , Alex” Da’grass said upon opening the gate .

“You can even see the city from this side” said a bewildered Sam .

“It’s beautiful , it’s got a real science fiction vibe” responded Sarah .

“You can even see some plants growing here and there .

Isn’t that a little too fast” ? said Helena .

“That’s thanks to the growth accelerators .

The city is built to last for a very long time .

Maintenance is conducted by the droids when they are done building the city” answered a proud Da’grass .

Helena stepped forward to the gate and said , ”You don’t mind if I go first , right sweetie?”.

Alex chuckled and said “go ahead , I’ll be right behind you”.

And both went through the gate before Sam and Sarah could react .

Once they figured out what happened they followed Alex and Helena .

One moment they were on their little island and the other moment they were on Mars .

“This is surreal , we are on Mars , mom” said an excited Sam.

“The city is surrounded by a shield , but the buildings can all be locked airtight should an emergency arise .

But that’s never happened before , and the colony builders have proven themselves time and time again to be exceptional in the work they deliver” said Da’grass .

And if you log in to the Nexus at this point , you would get a city for Mars and it becomes available to be visited by all earthlings .

I have to remind you though that the city can’t be higher or the same tier than the Capitol city .

In your case you could make the city on Mars the Capitol city and thus be able to build a tier 4 city if you get the permission of the government .

“Yeah , well that’s not going to happen and I’ll wait for a bit longer before logging in here” answered Alex to Da’grass explanation.

Can you give us a quick tour Da’grass ?

“The city is fairly big with all that’s been built , and time is limited since you summoned the people of your island to help transfer the goods in your warehouses here .

But if you tell me what you want to see , I’ll see if it’s possible within the timeframe” answered Da’grass.

“I want at least to see the shipyard and a typical residence” responded Alex .

“Very well , we’ll start with the shipyard” said Da’grass .

Follow the blue arrows if you will.

After walking for some time , following the blue arrows they finally arrived at the shipyard and they were amazed by what they saw .

Three ships were being built at the same time , and Da’grass told them that they were the colony builders Alex ordered .

They were building them 24/7 , and the progress showed .

As long as there wasn’t a shortage of building materials , they would be fully operational in a few months according to Da’grass .

“Dude , you’ll have your own space fleet within a few years if you keep producing them” said an excited Sam .

“Maybe you should mine that comet that’s been rumoured to consist primarily out of gold and platinum” said Sarah.

You would have all the gold you need to produce computer chips .

“The miners are the next ones to be build” answered Da’grass .

They’ll start mining asteroids for building materials when Alex decides where the new colonies should be located , but the colony builders will already be doing this before the miners are ready to be deployed.

They kept staring at the ships being built for another 15 minutes while thinking to themselves were they would be several years from now .

It all seemed to be happening so fast all of a sudden and they got worried when they thought how earth would react when they found out what they all were doing.

“Do we even have weapons should we need them?” asked a worried Sam.

“The colony has several for defence and thus Alex owns the schematics” answered Da’grass .

“So we are not completely without defence” replied Sarah .

“Even if there was nothing , with Alex clearance level he could easily procure some in the mall of the Ethereans” said Da’grass .

“Let’s go to a residence for now , I want to see how we’ll be living” said Alex .

There are two types of residences considering the size , regular and spacious . said Da’grass .

Every residence has four bedrooms , one master bedroom and three regular rooms that can be organized to the wishes of the occupant .

Living area , bathroom , kitchen and laundry room is accounted for in every residence .

The sole difference is that a spacious residence has 2 bathrooms and more space for every room .

I’ll take you to one of each kind that’s already furnished , if you will follow the blue arrow .

They first went to the regular-sized one and they weren’t disappointed in the size of it .

You wouldn’t feel cramped living there , even if you had a full house , and they were already furnished .

There was plenty of room and they were sure there wouldn’t be any complaints of the rooms being too small.

When they went to see the spacious one , they thought they had arrived in a luxury apartment .

The rooms were indeed spacious , and there was plenty of room for large parties .

After seeing the rooms they returned to the gate and walked through back to their little island .

“That was awesome” said Sam after returning to the island .

“Alex , I’ve brought the people to start transferring the goods through the gates” said a well known voice .

They were startled , not expecting to be waited on when they exited the gate .

It was Mary , and it looked like she brought the whole town .

“So this is the rumoured gate .

Any chance we get a tour of the city?” asked Mary .

“Not for now , but once the city is fully functional , you’ll all get the chance” Alex assured .

Sarah , Sam , can you make sure that no one wanders off during transporting the goods through the gate and send a message when everything is done ?

“Leave it to us , Alex” said an eager Sam .

“Make sure to give everyone who is here to at least one chance to use the gate” said Alex at which the town seemed to respond positively .

“Well you heard him and you know the drill” shouted Sarah .

“Let’s start moving these goods to Mars” she laughed .
