Not thirty minutes after leaving Rodenheim city we stumble upon a small group of monsters.
'Ughhh those things look so realistically disgusting.'
Watching the monsters I use my ability [Sense Attunement], giving me basic information on monsters and players within 10 levels of me.
"They are level 5, not much stronger than me, but I don't have any combat skills yet. What should I do Malek?"
"Well go fight them of course, I didn't think I was training a coward." Maleks words pierce me like daggers.
"I'm not being cowardly, how am I supposed to fight them?" I still feel worried about how I will fight these disgusting monsters.
"Don't you have [Nature Manifestation]? Use that, you might summon something relatively useful."
"Ah I will try." I accept Malek's suggestion.
'I haven't ever done this spell before. I guess I will just do whatever, maybe make it sound cool.'
"Oh dutiful spirit heed my call, Nature Manifestation!" A bright light envelops my hand and the earth begins to grow.
Springing from the ground is a small earth elemental golem. Around two feet in height the elemental looks at me with gentle eyes.
'Woah this thing doesn't look super powerful, but it is definitely cute.'
"Ummm, golem friendly pal, can you err help me out here?" I try to communicate with the familiar, but it only tilts it's head in response.
"Ah well, can you attack one of those monsters and lure it over here?" I make a request of the elemental and it heads off to the creatures.
Strolling over to a fairly well sized mucous ball the tiny earthen person tackles it's back. the slimes eye rotates to face the elemental and begins to chase after my familiar.
"*squish**squish*" The sound of the slime as it seemingly hops towards the familiar and causes me a slight nausea.
"Ummm Earthy! Eh no, ummm Cute little bugger, go see if you can fight that slime!" I shout to my new pal in attempt to make combat easier.
"Hey Corvus, if you familiar does all the work you won't get any experience." Malek chimes in to change my battle strategy.
"I don't have any combat abilities, do you want me to just go and smack it with the staff?" I again question Malek's comments.
"Sure, just go smack it, the staff can't be destroyed by a mere slime."
Rushing at the slime I swing the staff, causing the lantern attached by the chain to hit the slime. The magic emanating from the lantern seemed to cause additional damage to the slime causing it to explode.
After killing the slime I receive 50xp. 'I think it's 100xp for the first level, meaning I need to kill another slime to level up.'
"Oh! That wasn't nearly as hard as I first imagined, with the help of my new friend I should be able to level up quite up. On that thought, I should probably give him a name." I say this but need to confirm something with Malek first.
"Malek, once I summon a familiar can I summon that familiar again?" I ask in hope that my new friend won't disappear forever.
"Hmmm, well your magic is based on intent, if you intend to re-summon that familiar it should be possible, you can probably link a chant to summon that specific familiar." Malek's words give me a sense of relief.

"Ah alright, ummm what should I call you? Ummm how about Ceres? That sounds good. Ceres, when I call for you please come. I will call 'Child of Earth, please heed my calling, and grant me your strength.'" I decide a way to call for Ceres and send him off.
"Hmm, you did well for your first fight, though you will need to get a lot stronger. You are beginning to grasp the concept on your magic and now you will need to master it." Malek downplays my major accomplishment, but I don't really mind.
"Where we are headed that slime would get squashed bye insects or the plants, much more strength is necessary for you to survive."
-----
A few hours pass as I begin to hone my abilities and gain experience. I am finally at level 6 after killing monsters of varying strength.
*ding*<
My mana has drastically improved after the addition from my wisdom. HP and MP are increased by VIT and WIS by 10x the stat, vitality for health and mana for wisdom. I also received 10 mana and hp per level, since I leveled up 5 times I received 50 of each combined with the original and the stat bonus.
We reach a nearby village and decide to take a rest as it is my first time outside of the city. The dynamic of a village is a lot different from a city, while they're quite similar for the most part, the primary difference is in how the citizens interact. In a city some individuals may know each other, but they do not necessarily know everyone else. While in a village it is not uncommon for each person to know every other one. This means it can become much harder to migrate to a new village. That said, when visiting a village they may be more welcoming, but may also be colder, they tend to be more extreme compared to cities.
Entering into the inn people grow suspicious of Malek, who is still draped in a dark robe with a hood covering the upper part of his face. I often wonder how he even manages to see.
"Yes we would like one room with two beds." Malek's words snap the clerk out of her fear.
"Ahh yes, one bedroom, for one night that will be 10 gold for two beds."
Malek readily places the 10 gold onto the counter and accepts the key from her.
"Well Corvus, let's go."
We head to the room and I log out to take a break.
