Vin stared in awe at the sight before him, it all looked surreal and unrealistic.
Not even in his wildest dream did he consider something like this could come to fruition.
The boy before him moved with perfect coordination to intercept the swirling ants , knocking several of them in literally one blow. Some of the ants tried to run away but he quickly grabbed them before tearing them apart.
The boy's name was Jain.
A hunter Vin once saw as a weakling in his eyes , a boy who seemed like a big goof and an abnormality in his raid , yet here was the same boy exerting a powerful presence as he swayed the ants from side to side as the bugs they were.
The Jain from before and this one completely felt like different people ; the one from before was a bit timid and Vin had saw him as a nuisance yet this one was capable of taking down more than a hundred of those monsters in under 6 minutes.
Those two were so different from each other by power and presence that it felt like the Jain from before was nothing but a myth , if Vin had not seen him with his own two eyes he would have completely believed this Jain as his true self. Or perhaps this was his true self.
"Ah. If only I was stronger." Vin had heard him mutter those word as he had watched him just minutes ago , it was not logically possible that a person became stronger just by wishing for it otherwise the world would have been in chaos.
So how did Jain become strong out of thin air in a short time ? calling it short was an understatement by itself.

Vin had come under the conclusion that Jain had two aliases , The timid Jain was the cover and this Jain was the real one.
Vin's mind was still in too much shocked to bother coming out with other possibilities, he had even tried rubbing his eyes out of heavy disbelief but refrained from doing so as that would have been foolish by his own standards.
If he was this powerful from the start then why didn't he help the others when they suffered crisis before ?

Vin's conclusion was closer to the truth , even though Magic core information wasn't quite public. He used what he already knew and his past experiences to grasp at the situation , and any other person would have come to a final conclusion similar to his.
Vin wanted to join the fight , but before he could lift a single finger to help Jain had already finished his massacre against 250 of the ants with his back facing Vin and the head of one of the creature's in his hands.
The boy Jain turned his head to face Vin ; His eyes glowing with a golden light , no they were completely golden.
Jain then completely turned his body to face Vin , still not letting the torn ant bits out of his grip as he jokingly and casually said ,
" Ah , I forgot to leave you some didn't I ? "
Vin wanted to gasp from the words , but held himself back. The timid Jain from before was already out of his mind , and this fierce warrior infront of him had replaced that naive impression.
He certainly was much more powerful than Vin , and if Vin's alias theory was true - no , he was certain it was true.
Then that would mean , Jain's true personality was still a mystery to him considering the previous one was a cover up.
Who knew what kind of monster Jain truly was ? even just one word Vin said not to Jain's liking would get Vin killed in that moment , if Jain would go through such lengths.
Feeling helplessness and vulnerability , Vin couldn't help but stare at Jain.. who now was scratching his head in embarrassment as if he hadn't just casually took out a large number of killer ants in just a few minutes.
