Jain was exploring his way back to the fellow Hunters , he had defeated the Dungeon Boss singlehandedly.

He was surprised to be still alive and hadn't thought of the possibility of him surviving - he assumed he would die after being sprayed by the dungeon boss' poison.

However he came out alive , which was a miracle on his side.

How was he still alive despite being attack by the large amounts of poison ? he was practically showered by it , which should have killed him a few minutes after killing the Queen.

That had been 13 minutes ago and yet, he was still alive and with no eerie sensation that might suggest the poison was working.

Was it because he had defeated the Queen so it's poison didn't matter ? That was his baseless hunch as some of the Queen's poison still remained in the dungeon passages in very small amounts.

Jain heard footsteps drawing near him , the silhouettes came into view a few minutes after.

It was Misha and Vin - the fire mage and the girl with the nasty tongue. They were walking side by side, supporting each other.

Misha certainly looked better compared to her condition before when she was being ravaged by the poison. Immediately, an image of a kind and smiling girl who said didn't want to die came to Jain's mind.

The couple hadn't noticed Jain yet, so he decided to call out for them.

" Hey! "

They both looked around, perhaps both wondering where the familiar voice came from. Misha was the first to notice him.

" There ! "

Vin followed by her guidance; his eyes no longer hostile as compared to when they had first entered the dungeon.

Jain could tell just from Vin's silence alone as he gazed at him that he had a new level of respect and acknowledgment for him now.

Jain fitted himself in between the two, helping both of them walk. They didn't try to resist and easily let him help them.

A miracle had occurred which had given him this strange power. without it , everything he held dear would have undoubtedly vanished from his reach and him and everyone else in the dungeon would have ended up as being food for the monsters.

" Alright guys, let's get the others and bust out of here. "

Jain said, a wide smile on his face.

Days later

The room was beautifully decorated with ornaments almost everywhere, these ornaments took the form of wonderful musical instruments such as violins , guitars and pianos.

Most of them were golden, a few of them colored cream and yellow - They which were all hanged on the equally eye-catching walls.

The tiles shined so brightly one could perfectly see their own reflection , the 27cm long square tiles were cream and gold with the carvings of roses , giving them a modern and royal feeling.

In the room there wasn't that much furniture : two soft tan couches facing each other with four decorative pillows on each sofa -The pillows were small with various flower art on them. A long mat was placed on the floor between the two couches ,and a smooth table on it.

Lining near the walls were various living plants , spraying their lovely scent in the welcoming atmosphere giving the entire room a spring look.

Violet sat in her comfortably soft cushion , elegantly drinking the red wine that had a dash of apple sweetness.

Everything she had planned was coming together quite very well.

All though the dungeon clearance by the guild days ago had come as a surprise to her - after all she had expected them to mainly target the dungeon boss and not completely eradicate the monsters in the entire dungeon , however they hadn't come back without a scar and were currently in hospital getting treated so it wasn't that particularly eye-catching , they had Hindriad with them to aid them anyways.

Violet had already sent a hitman to finish the guild members off , she hated having ticking time bombs. Who knows what would happen if they found out she had sent them out to be slaughtered so that she could gain a small round ball they didn't even know what it was for ?

Apparently the flame mage by the name Vincent had already been discharged as his wounds weren't that serious , the rest of the hunters would be discharged in the next days - that is if they managed to leave the hospital alive.

In her line of sight was a smoothly round and dark purple core - the dungeon boss's magic core.

She hadn't though they could get the magic core that quickly , Akzar wasn't called a dungeon of legends for nothing.

However supposedly with a little team work , Hindriad and of course the boy - sending the monsters in Akzar to the afterlife wasn't that farfetched of a dream , especially since it had plummeted from its previous glory.

Akzar -

A dungeon said to be hosting something monstrous beyond comprehension , more monstrous than the Dungeon Bosses there.

Akzar was a dungeon that had Dungeon bosses which changed every time it shifted space. The dungeon never stayed in one place more than a week, the rumors about it said it didn't stay more than a day but that was a fabricated lie to prevent people from trying to challenge it and getting brutally slaughtered in the process. After all , the more human lives claimed by a Dungeon - the stronger the inhabitants became.

Noticing it's presence after it had appeared in her country, Violet had personally measured it and found it to be C+ ranked dungeon ,this was based by measuring the amount of energy each individual dungeon boasted using a machine. Her plan then came to fruition and then she set Jain off to retrieve the magic core after manipulating some strings in the background.

Afterall, it was an opportunity of a lifetime - not because the dungeon shifted space and therefore could even move to another continent, it would be very easy for Violet to relocate it with her connections. It was rather because of the Dungeon's evaluation - a C+ was the weakest evaluation that sinister dungeon had ever been given ! the countless lives it had claimed were what made it a legend in the first place.

In the past the dungeon's evaluation was mostly S rank and sometimes A+ rank with S ranked dungeon bosses , it was an understatement to call the Dungeon Bosses which inhabited Akzar merely by 'monsters' , they were absolute monstrosities !

which was why when the Dungeon appeared again for who knows how many times with a C+ rank evaluation Violet lunged at the opportunity. Even if it was a C+ rank , the Magic Core of a C+ from the Dungeon boss in Akzar would differ largely from your local bosses. The dungeon had even appeared in her country for God's sake , if this wasn't a gift from heaven then what was it ?!

However even after the dungeon appeared Violet didn't dare try to attain the Magic Core herself - wouldn't it be suspicious if a great political figure such as her suddenly decided to raid a dungeon ? even if it was in her own country , she knew the country's walls had eyes and ears - she would lose her life before she even entered the dungeon if that man found out about her goals.

More than that , why would Violet waste her own energy and time trying to excavate a core when she had an expendable like Jain who could do that for her ? considering there was a backlash to any normal hunter who dared to touched it.

Now, the Magic core was finally with her, Violet had had her knights personally retrieve it from Jain immediately after getting information that he had returned victorious from the dungeon, she didn't trust him not to be curious enough to try experimenting on it or for him to foolishly lose it , her efforts would be all for naught if that happened.

Now she stared at it obsessively, rubbing it against her tender hands after finishing her glass of wine.

This magic core was absolutely important to her plans as it would boost her power or rather , skill.

Skills in this world were power an individual possessed - they branched into 4 categories ; a normal skill most people could get the hang of ; an extra skill born from the evolution of a normal skill and finally a unique skill , a skill which was quite self-explanatory , the last one after the unique skill was too complex for Violet to comprehend.

Right now , Violet was sure that Jain kid acquired one of the unique ones as there was clearly no way he could come out of the dungeon without that many wounds while veterans like Misha had been hospitalized, even if he had been protected by Hindriad. It wouldn't be called the Dungeon of legends if a simpleton like Jain could walk out without missing an arm or a leg, even if he had Hindriad's protection or the Dungeon had plummeted from its previous glory.

But that didn't matter , she would kill him.

Dum-Dum

Violet heard a knock on her chamber.

" Come in. "

The person who knocked was of course one of the orphaned maids she had picked out of boredom , back then she had been weary of her palace's loneliness.

The maids did all the work here , even work that required the strength of a man. Violet had trained them to be flexible like that. She could kill them anytime she wanted to though ,and the outside world would pretend to be blind, not only because of the maids' clear political inferiority but also because of Violet's own political power.

" Sorry to bother you madam , there's somebody here to see you. Should I let him in ? "

Violet thought of who it possibly was - it was definitely the fool called Hindriad , who most likely had come to collect the Stellar coins she promised him. Violet wouldn't give him any , because he failed what she hired him for - protecting Jain , there were scratches on him after all no matter how small they were.

Violet internally laughed , her thin lips transforming into a devilish smile which visibly made the maid shiver.

However there was something she would give him he'd have a taste of once in a lifetime - Death.

" Hindriad right ? "

Violet asked , the smile still plastered on her face.

" No , madam. It's a blonde kid calling himself Jain. "

Her smile then instantly disappeared.
