[The initiation would continue, call upon your Artifact]
Again, she instinctively knew how to do it.
Anak Orb
Then it was there in front of her, almost as if it always was an Orb as its name suggested and red in colour. Rather it was like a spherical glass globe with a paler red colour around a deeper red in its center. It was about fifty centimeters across and gave off a similar red glow. The orb floated in front of her but she could tell that it followed her very will. She was easily able to move it around her almost like a planet around the sun but it could not get too far away from her. Maybe around five meters before it stopped going further.
All of a sudden the explanation on the Strength attribute made sense she supposed that since she did not physically wield her Anak Orb it did not benefit from her strength attribute. Furthermore, when it was out, she could feel the ability tied to it was active.
[As I am sure you can tell you can now you the capabilities of your Artifact. However, Artifacts do not only have their abilities, typically they would also have a basic function]
This she could tell too. She was glad that the System seemed to make a lot of functions that have very little in relation to being a normal human instinctive.
[Typically, Artifacts could appear as basic as a melee weapon or a familiar ranged weapon from you world and so their basic function is immediately obvious, yours clearly is not]
[Attempt to activate the basic function]
An outline in the shape of a what reminded her of a crash dummy appeared a few meters from her before solidifying into what was indeed humanoid dummy.
[Attack the dummy]
Again, it was instinctive, just directing her will to attack the dummy was all it took. And with a whir the Orb released a red beam of energy something straight out of a manga. The air sizzled with the passing of the ridiculously fast attack. She was honestly surprised she could track it because she was sure that a human would have found that impossible. When the energy reached the dummy it was shaped like a very elongated Ovoid with what looked like read lightning crackling around and along it.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
The dummy and the floor it stood on was utterly obliterated in an explosion leaving a smoking crater. She also felt with the release of the blast a strain on her…something she wasn’t sure what it was but she lost a significant amount of something in her. It was like stamina yet not and even so what she felt was not utterly alien to her. There was almost a déjà vu like sensation that she felt currently but she could not place it.
[Skill gained – Basic Varos Manipulation]
A new general skill, she assumed it was gained from just using Varos for anything based on the System’s explanation on how skills worked.
[You are currently feeling the drain on your Varos, I suggest being careful in how you use it]
The System made sense she could tell that she could not just use that attack with wild abandon.
[Now call upon your Armament]
Red Thread
A red glow briefly filled her eyesight before disappearing just as quickly. She felt a soft sensation around her neck. Looking down she noticed that she still had her ripped slim jeans, plain black t-shirt and leather brown buttonless jacket on. But on top of this now she had a very large red scarf on. One that reached high enough to be just below her mouth and was tied behind her before its ends dropped to below her knees.
[Armaments are typically more defensive in function]
[Yours however also improves your offensive capabilities]
She was not so sure about the fashion but attempting to change how the scarf was set resulted in it reforming itself back to the exact same state. Thinking about it, its name was Red Thread and not Red Scarf meaning its current shape was deliberate. Well, she had no framework on how either the Artifacts nor Armaments came to be in the first place so there was no point in dwelling too much on it.
She did not get long anyway.
[Now that you have confirmed the activation of your Artifact and Armament it is time for the next part of the Initiation]
A hum passed through the air one that did not seem like a sound, it was as if the very atmosphere had changed.
[Defeat the Undead Legion]
[Test 1]
Tisha had never exactly been a thrill seeker but she could not help but get excited as one that had played RPGs, on top of that she had always somewhat enjoyed a good fight. Something she would never admit to her family.
A moment later outlines just like before with the dummy appeared about twenty meters away from her. About ten of them except this time they were clearly shaped like humanoid skeletons, just about eight feet in height instead.
Right after, the outlines filled out into actual skeletons of the same build complete with broad swords that matched their size, some scraps of medieval looking armour and of course red glowing eyes of doom.
She could not help but scoff at how stereotypical they looked the only thing somewhat unexpected being their heights suggesting they were not necessarily human.

[Skeleton Warrior]
“Alright, let’s do this.”
