Chapter 19 – Attack on Giant

Chapter 19 – Attack on Giant

Tisha was not sure where to start with this one. It was simply far too large and its Varos was rivalling that of Olga’s.

“Watch out!” Damon yelled.

The thing threw its leg back in preparation to launch a kick, Olga was the target and unfortunately Finch was right behind her and while the attack was not fast for Olga. Finch was definitely not quick enough to escape it with him still being in shock from the very appearance of the creature. Its roar had stunned him in place. She braced herself for impact as the foot approached arms wide to receive and Armament activated.

The sound of the impact reverberated through the forest and the shockwave knocked Finch out of his stupor. Tisha was behind him, grabbing him around the waist and leaping away from ground zero of the clash. Mel had also been frozen by the roar but managed to get moving to a distance.

Olga was in a physical contest with the foot, muscles bulging, and the ground being pushed away from the both of them as they struggled against each other.

Tisha was getting more and more impressed with Olga’s strength she was sure that at G+(+) she would not be capable of doing that even at its limit and she knew that Olga’s Strength had not gone up to F- yet.

Unfortunately, while she was not quite losing in strength, Olga’s size came as a disadvantage as the foot moved under her arm and then went into an upwards kick. Olga was sent into the air towards the cliff side and slammed straight into it leaving a large and deep crater on the surface.

With that the giant turned its eyes to the nearby Damon, going for stomping attacks as Damon attempted to move around its feet to avoid them.

Tisha decided to join as she did not think that Damon would last long and was confident that Olga was fine. Damon was just about to be flattened before Tisha slammed into him knocking them both out of the way with a crater left where he had been standing. She had dropped Finch behind a large ruin and was unsure where Mel had disappeared to.

The Giant turned to the both of them and in that moment a green portal form next to its head spitting out a small hail of blades at the skull. Unfortunately, Finch’s attacks were not doing very much to the monster. However, it got its attention as the giant swiped at the swords slamming into its head. Finch would not be able to keep that up for long, so Tisha decided to use the opening they had been given.

Her Orb had been charging this entire time and had just reached the limit. Dashing out of the trees that she and Damon had been hiding behind she signaled her Artifact to fire at the head of the Skeleton. She was confident that it should take significant damage from the powered-up blast as it quickly crossed the over a hundred meter distance to reach its target.

Only for the skull to morph and deform into a medieval looking helmet made out of bone. It looked much more thick and solid than what was initially in its place with eye holes revealing the glowing red eyes behind them. The monster could morph its skeletal structure.

A moment later its right hand reshaped gaining a smooth pointed end as the entire arm formed into a giant lance headed straight for her.

Suspension

She was unsure whether it would work on an enemy so large but this was as good time as ever to test it out.

The lance froze in the air as the red sphere appeared around its tip. The rest of the skeleton was still moving however.

Eyes narrowed, she felt like she further understood her ability.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Another lance formed on its other arm as it jabbed towards her, she leapt over it slamming her foot down towards it with all her strength. The lance crashed into the ground gouging the earth underneath her. The lance came to a sudden stop. Glancing behind her she saw Damon had a grip on it a strained smile on his face. She had a fraction of a second.

Running up the lance she used a Swift Step to close the distance to its chest. Her fist drawn backwards.

Its chest morphed into armour, a chest plate. Predictable.

Reverberating fist

An attack that was made to damage the insides of armour by sending shockwaves bouncing around its insides. She suspected that medieval type armour and weapons would be what the skeleton based any remodeling of its body on. Deduced via the use of the helmet and the lance as well as the other undead and their weapons and she has been correct.

The shockwaves crashed around the insides of the armour causing the skeleton to freeze up. Regrettably, the damage caused was not as high as she hoped. The armour was still intact and even worse her Suspension skill was broken with her directly in from of the enemy. Its arms had reformed back to normal and were raised up together in one massive fist in preparation to smashed down on her.

“Aaargh, get away from her!” Damon was roaring in front of Tisha, he had not stood still after her attack and the moment the skeleton had been stunned by it he had rushed forwards to back her up. His shield glowed blue as he empowered it with Varos raising it overhead.

The fists slammed into the shield smashing him into her and sending them both flying to the ground. They bounced off said ground like ragdolls as they were sent careening into the woods worse for wear, but alive.

She stood up from a hole formed in a large boulder, cracking her neck as she saw Damon breathing roughly on the ground.

“Thanks for that, you saved me.” She said pulling him up via his sword arm. His shield arm looked sore.

“No need for thanks we need to get through this together.” He replied with a pained smile. No doubt thinking about Mel who was still nowhere to be seen. Now that she thought of it, where was Olga? She doubted the monstrous woman had been knocked out…or even more ridiculously, killed.

The giant was once again being battered with swords. They could see it despite the distance they had been sent flying at least a couple hundred meters. It was just that huge.

She was just glad that Finch’s abilities meant that he could attack from safety.

“We have to help Finch.” She stated rushing back to the battle. Damon nodded and followed.

As they reached the battlefield, something caught the corner of her eye. It was Mel running off into the distant woods on her left.

Sadly for the woman, the giant had noticed her too and started making a beeline straight for her ignoring the swords from the unseen foe. The booming of its feet and the ground shaking alerted the blonde of her incoming doom.

“Shit.” Exclaimed Damon as he started rushing towards it. He was too slow and she would have been too if not for-

Claw Morph

She had not really wanted to use this again so early, she had realized it had a cool down of just above an hour or so and wanted to save it for the Anchor if possible. Actually, if she was her usual self she would have not cared enough to use her trump card to save someone this selfish. But again, something within her compelled her to do so. She still could not understand her current feelings.

----------------------------------------

Olga was rushing as quickly as she could, which with her current body was very fast indeed in fact she moved beyond the speed of Formula ones. She had been launched much further than the crater on the side of the cliff suggested. She had been slammed into it and through it forming an incredibly deep crater and she broke out of the top in such an angle that she had not been visible to the group. She had then flown hundreds of meters through the air without any way of stopping. She finally appeared at the top of the cliff looking down on the battle with crossed arms over her prodigious chest.

The giant was heading for the annoying blondie who was sprinting for the woods in the direction they had come from, Olga could not but grin at that. Maybe she would not have to kill her herself. On her left below her she saw the little Robin do something very interesting, however. The scarf she had been wearing moved, the ends extending down to her arms and wrapping around them before form claws on the end. Her entire body had a crisscross of red thread in a diamond pattern excluding her head in which the hair had become somewhat spikier and raised. Her eyes glowed a dangerous red as she took on an overall feral look.

That must be the ability Robin mentioned, much flashier than her Armament. The girl took off in an animalistic sprint on all fours at speeds that rivaled even Olga`s, catching up to the giant just in time to block a swiping attack intended for the blonde one.

“Not bad, not bad at all.” Olga smiled widely, it was a terrifying sight. She ran towards the edge of the cliff leaping towards the monster, a Nail appearing in her hand.
