Backing out of the considerable sword range of the knight with a Swift Step she launched her sword with all her strength empowered with Varos. The air was a thread from ripping apart due to the shear force and speed of the weapon as it whooshed through the air like a missile.

Flying Blade

The Knight just barely lifted its sword blocking the attack with the flat of its blade. It was not quite fast enough at that range however, and the flying weapon scraped the side of its large weapon slamming into its right pauldron and ripping it apart.

The purplish skin underneath was revealed, a strange conflict with its fully skeletal visage. She directed her Orb to use a fully charged blast again as she closed the distance between them the moment the Knight was distracted from the blade.

Her Claw Morph was still not useable so she knew she would be weaker this time in close combat, but she was far more ready than before. The Knight’s blade was still in its defensive position by the time she reached it, leaping into the air she grabbed its skull pulling it down to the ground with all her strength.

Her knee came up slamming into its large head and throwing it back. The knight went reeling and she tried to keep the pressure on.

But, before she could it was covered in the dark smoke disappearing from sight. Her senses went into overdrive as she scanned her surroundings. She noticed Olga beating down on the two knights. She saw the group behind her fighting the solitary knight. Noting that the mist coming from Finch was not affecting his allies in the slightest. And the very moment a split started to appear she was already blocking in that direction, her arms protected by Varos.

The sword came out first slamming into her arms and sending her to the ground. She threw the sword aside before it could get any purchase and pressure her on the ground like she had been held up before. As the knight lost balance she finally used her ability.

It had been on cool down when she fought her last fight and she had not used it yet in fear that it would affect her allies but Finch had confirmed something for her.

It seemed the orb was able to charge for its attack while still using its normal abilities.

It flashed and, in an instant, the white clouds covered the Knight as it stumbled around.

Looking around, she grinned as her theory was correct. It seemed when abilities that had aoes were to specify enemies in their description. It meant that they only affected what the user considered an enemy. She did not think that she could for example use her orb to attack an enemy with its beams and it would leave a nearby ally unscathed as it was not something that was specified.

Olga had already turned the other Knights into rubble, however the Knight the group was fighting, not only was it struggling to move it was now completely senseless. Literally. The others were completely fine however.

The Knight was now a sitting duck with its senses shut down for the next few seconds and so she wasted no time.

With the use of her Varos she closed the distance using another Swift Step landing a punch in its Solar plexus. The strength behind the attack forced its waist to bend causing the Knight to double up allowing her to transition into another move.

Tiger Combo

She slammed into its face with her shoulder first, as it was sent back once more. Jumping off the ground she sent her fist into its face with a quick punch, following up with a one-two from each side. As its face was sent to her left, she put her fists together and slammed them down sending its head to the ground. And finally as she landed another swift step around the Knight brought her to its back. And she finished with a kick to the back sending the Knight flat to the ground sliding away from her.

It was a modified move from the original due to the Knight’s height.

Unfortunately, after all that the knight was not hurt too much. It had taken some damage however, its armour had dents in it and it had small breaks, cracks and dents on its exposed body parts.

Nonetheless, it was all to set up for.

BOOM!

Her Orb let loose its attack, space seemed to bend under the sheer energy from the blast as it turn the ground into a clean hemisphere with the broken Knight in it. The upgrade to her Varos had really upped the power behind it and the Knight had not even had the chance to retaliate this time as she brought everything she had to bear.

She was panting for air in exhaustion.

The grinning Olga filled her sight as she stooped in front of her.

“That was a great fight. I didn’t see everything but the little I saw… felt like I had seen that fighting style somewhere.” She looked up in thought.

Huh? The Aurum style was certainly not something that should be known. Her family did not advertise it and it was not used publicly.

Her curiosity in Olga’s identity deepened, but she did not ask yet. Once she was out of here, she was sure she would find out everything.
