As the pain slowly subsided, he felt a rush of energy coursing through his veins, as if he had just unlocked a hidden power within hisself.
It hardened his bones, strengthening it in the process to withstand pressure. The Aether spread throughout him, improving his bone marrow for better regeneration. His organs was also enhance, fortifying it for stamina. His digestion also received a massive Boost, strengthening the digestive system for the Aether energy.
His expression shifted from a frown to a cool and sweet sensation. As it subsided, he finally opened his eyes. With a newfound sense of strength, he clenched his fist, ready to test his newfound abilities.
As he threw a punch, the air around him whistled, indicating the sheer force behind it.
"Could it be that touching the red orb had given me a significant boost in power?" Kairos quickly checked his cultivation level and, to his utter surprise, he had jumped from the 3rd level all the way to the 5th level of body refinement.
He couldn't contain his excitement and let out a loud exclamation of shock and amazement.
"Killing that rabbit was actually worth it" he remark seeing the increased in strength.
He looked at the last red orb and, couldn't help but touch it once more. To his amazement, it was absorbed into his body once again, but this time, it was a different experience altogether.
The pain was now replaced with a refreshing sensation, leaving him invigorated. It was then that he realized that the orb, had the power to enhance his cultivation.
"So that red orb actually enhanced my cultivation, I've finally reached the 6th level and just a few more. I will be at the 7th level" Kairos said with a smile, seeing a massive improvement
He then gazed at the final orb, the blue one, and couldn't resist the urge to touch it. As he made contact, an invigorating sensation washed over him once again, and he felt his mind becoming clearer and more focused.
It was as if a fog had lifted, and his vision and understanding of the world had sharpened.
"Could it be that this orb had improved my comprehension? I couldn't believe it, but it seemed like a distinct possibility." Kairos said with a shocked expression, having a comprehension type of rune is really expensive.
That only those rich families had access to, since it is scarce and expensive.
But to him, by just killing a rabbit, he'd actually received one? That's one good loot, he thought. If he sold this, he would be rich. As he imagined it, but did not really want to do so.
Lost in the excitement of his sudden cultivation improvement, he failed to notice the unknown monster sneaking up behind him. Before he could react, it was too late. The monster attacked, and he fell to the ground, his body with a big hole, lifelessly collapsing.
He then woke up with a jolt, shouting, 'Ahhh!' His heart was pounding as he tried to catch his breath.
It took a moment to realize that it wasn't just a nightmare, but the pain he felt was surreal. He was shaking in bed with a red face, as if a hole had been forcibly opened in his stomach.
His shout was so painful, his eyes bloodshot red, his face so pale as he grunted in pain. Suddenly, his sister burst into his closed room, kicking the door open in her panic and with her face full of worry.
Sophia saw Kairos writhing in pain and rushed over to hold his shaking hand.
"Brother, are you alright?" Sophia asked, her voice barely audible over his screams.
The pain was so unbearable, it blocked all of his senses, making him shed tears, not really crying, but just a trickle of tears.
He couldn't hear her, but he could see her tears streaming down her face. He kept grunting in pain, unable to control the agony that was coursing through his body.

It was really the worst pain he had ever experienced in his entire life. Except getting hit by the airplane twice, but he died or pass out from that. While this he was conscious making it not the same at all.
After what felt like an eternity, the pain finally subsided. He could see Sophia by his side, still holding his arm, and his mother, Jovelle, was on the phone, calling an emergency number.
Sophia, seeing that Kairos was feeling slightly better, couldn't help but sob even more.
"Brother, I thought you were going to die!" she said, burying her head in his chest, her tears soaking his abs, adding to his sweat.
She hugged him tightly, and Kairos could only comfort her, while looking at her with warmth.
"I'm fine, sis. I was just having a nightmare, and I died in it, that's all," he said while slowly caressing her hair.
Jovelle dropped the call and came over to stand beside Kairos, hugging him as tears streamed down her face. It was a terrifying experience, but he was glad that he had his family by his side.
"What the… what am I thinking about? I’m really a weakling, shouting from the pain. The worst is, I even shed tears," he said inwardly, so embarrassed about it. He couldn't even help but feel ashamed.
"Kairos, are you sure? Are you really fine and don't need to go to the hospital?" Jovelle asked, worry was evident in her eyes.
"Yeah, brother, why don't you get a checkup? What happens if it wasn't a nightmare but a problem?" Sophia said, looking up at him with concern.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. Actually, I feel more energetic than before," Kairos said with a smile.
When they were finally convinced, the two of them left the room. While Kairos couldn't help but wonder about that strange world he'd experienced in his nightmare.
"I felt that my strength really improved. Don't tell me this is my golden finger," Kairos said, slumping down on his bed to sleep and go back to that place.
But no matter what he did, he couldn't return to that familiar place. Until he finally sleep and did not come back there. Finally, morning arrived, and it was time for breakfast.
As the family of three sat down at the table, Jovelle prepared his favorite pancakes, and his sister poured him a glass of orange juice. After they finished eating, Sophia stood up from her seat.
"Mom, brother, I'm going to school now, or I'll be late. Bye!" she said, bidding them farewell, while running to the door.
"Be careful outside," Kairos shouted.
"Ok" Sophia looked back and said, with a cute smile adorned in her face.
"Don't go to school today and stay here, okay, my dear?" Jovelle instructed Kairos, due to the earlier incident.
She was afraid that it might happen again, so she wrote an excuse letter for Sophia to give it to her teacher.
She then washed the dishes and left to open up their shop, leaving Kairos alone in the house. Being left alone he was bored so with nothing else to do, he decided to pick up his trusty wooden sword from the living room, where it was hanging on the wall, and grab the book about sword techniques that was lying on the table.
With these in hand, he headed outside to their spacious lawn. The fresh morning air was invigorating as he began to practice his sword techniques.
As he took a stance and practiced the techniques, he noticed that everything seemed clearer to him now. He could see every flaw he had been making all along, and he was now able to correct them.
"Don't tell me this is the effect of the blue orb," Kairos said in astonishment.
After one hour of practicing, it was equivalent to five hours of his normal training.
"I can't believe it! The effect of the blue orb is actually this amazing!" he exclaimed, brandishing the sword in an arching motion.
But as he started to practice the sword techniques again, he finally realized its incredible potential. His movements were faster and more precise than ever before, and his understanding of the sword grew exponentially.
"That blue orb did not let me down," he said with an undisguised smile.
As he continued his rigorous training, fueled by the mysterious power of the blue orb, he felt his skills with the sword was reaching new heights.
It wasn't long until he achieved a major breakthrough - a 70% mastery of the common-grade technique known as the [Swiftless Blade].
With this mastery of the sword, he had advanced to the proficient stage. The sword was now swift as the wind, moving at a speed that was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
He felt an indescribable rush of excitement. With a grin on his face, he couldn't help but reflect on his progress.
"I had been working tirelessly on perfecting this Bronze-grade technique, [Swiftless Blade], for over a week, but I've only reached 10%."
However, thanks to the powers of the blue orb, his skills and comprehension had dramatically improved, and he had finally achieved a whopping 70% mastery.
"I can hardly believe it," Kairos said, beaming with a smile, excited for the future.
"The blue orb has truly worked wonders on my training. My sword strikes are now as swift as the wind and as fast as lightning." He said, holding the wooden sword, he couldn't help but wonder if he had a real weapon on him.
"That world is really a blessing but filled with dangers but as long as I can get stronger, I have to persevere" Kairos said with a look of determination in his eyes.
"But I don't even know if it's going to happen again tonight," he said, fully pondering about it as he looked at the sky.
