[Lilian Flores
***
Bloom Haven’s most controversial Harvest Guardian, hailing from the noble house of Flores, she lost everything following the path of the twin gods.
Cast out of noble society for her class, she endured her role as Harvest Guardian alone for most of her days. It is unknown whether she found peace.
An extremely talented summoner and brewer she created many tonics, elixirs, and potions the denizens of Bloom Haven and Moon Valley as a whole use today, with these potions she was able to combat the Miasma in its growing stages.
Much of her contributions have been lost to time, it is up to future archivists to find and chronicle much of this enigmatic figure.]

“Poor Lilian, but she must have met someone right, that’s why her memory is survived by Beatrice and her daughter Twyla,” Yvlena said, while it was sad to learn that bit of lore about Lilian she didn’t find much except the remark about Lilian’s alchemical prowess.
“Great, sort of a dead end isn’t it, I already knew she was controversial because she was a dark summoner, Bavga said so,” Yvlena sighed. “I mean I guess I learned something, even if it was quite sad,”
She slotted the book back into its spot and sighed deeply. The library was helpful but a majority of the information was locked away. It would be a while before she could rebuild the manor enough to access the library.
“With Bavga’s fondness, I guessed she would be an alchemist of some sort, I wonder if Risel met her. She’s an elf after all, they might be young looking but really I’m sure she’s older than Beatrice or even...Bavga,” Yvlena made a face, grimacing at the thought of a hag-like Risel.
It didn’t suit the cheerful elf to be so glum.
Yvlena left the area and walked down to the first floor where Laurent worked on being a good librarian to the establishment's other patrons.
“Were you able to find anything Yvlena?” Laurent asked.
“Not much but that was to be expected, I did get quite a fright down in the basement,” Yvlena said.
“Oh, you must have met Dominique,” Laurent said, his expression turning sour. He pursed his lips and took off his glasses to rub his eyes. “Apologies, people don’t visit the archives as often,”
‘Can’t imagine why,’ Yvlena thought sarcastically.
“Oh it’s fine I suppose, she didn’t bother me much at all,” Yvlena said trying to laugh off the strange encounter, the NPCs of the game continued to have strange personalities.
“There’s something I would like to talk to you about later,” Laurent said.
“Oh? When you’re ready then Laurent,” Yvlena said, making to leave the library through the front entrance when she noticed the figure of an adventurer heading her way.
Dylan walked through the door looking around at the happenings of the library.
“Yvlena, there you are,” Dylan said, setting his eyes on her and approaching the front desk where Laurent and Yvlena stood talking.

“Dylan, I take it you’re ready for our quest. I’m sorry I couldn’t meet you at the gates. I was occupied here looking for some old documents,” Yvlena said.
“It’s no problem, I know you’re busy most of the time,” He said.
Laurent lifted a brow in confusion, he looked between Yvlena and the young man standing before him then spoke.
“What’s this about a quest?”
“I’m escorting Dylan to the outpost to pay respects to his father’s grave,” Yvlena explained. “It’s too dangerous for him to go on his own after all, the area is crawling with all sorts of enemies, especially those wild boars,”
“Very well, but I do have a favor to ask. Could you bring me back some boar meat if you encounter any, it’s been a long time since I tasted the succulent pork of a Forest Boar,” Laurent said.

Laurent flashed her a smile, one of the few Yvlena had seen from the blonde librarian. He waved her off as she left, marking the start of her quest with Dylan.

“Are you sure you can handle a Forest Boar Yvlena? I know you’re pretty strong but they’re quite tough too,” Dylan asked as they walked back to the town’s main gate.
“They’re not as tough as the Swampadile or even the Spiders in the Verdant Woods,” Yvlena said with a casual shrug.
“Y-You’ve fought those creepy spiders?!” Dylan stuttered, he paled at the thought of going up against the creepy arachnids and their clacking mandibles. The thought of such beasts made a shiver run up his spine.
“Yeah, and I won too, though getting poisoned was nasty work. So you better be careful if you think about heading towards that area,” Yvlena cautioned.
“Yeah,” Dylan said, his footsteps slowed and soon he was trailing behind her with his head hanging sadly.
Yvlena turned around, noticing his downcast expression as he walked with less pep in his step. She wondered what was up with him, only a moment ago he was animated and now he was anxious and quiet.
“What’s the matter?”
“Well it’s just, I don’t think I’ll ever get as strong as you Yvlena, you’re fighting Spiders and Swamp creatures when I can barely take on a Horned Rabbit,”
“Evangels wasn’t built in a day,” Yvlena said.
“Huh?”
Yvlena realized he would not understand the expression as Evangels was not a place in Moon Valley. A lot of real world expressions would be lost on fictional characters. Even thought it pained Yvlena to think of them as such.
“It means I didn’t get that strong overnight, you haven’t been adventuring long so what makes you think you’ll have the same skill level as someone who’s done it longer?” Yvlena said.
“That’s true, but I want to help Mom and Iris out! Beatrice too,”
“And you will in time. You don’t rush things like this, you could die if you aren’t careful,” Yvlena said lifting a finger in warning. “Got it?” she asked, jabbing a finger in his chest with severity.
Dylan nodded gravely, taking her warning seriously but Yvlena felt this would not be the end of the conversation.
She turned around and continued leading the way, keeping Dylan at the back of her mind. This would be her first escort quest and it would be good practice for when she needed to take Risel through the Verdant Woods.
‘I don’t think Risel will give me much trouble and she’s an alchemist so I can count on her to have extra potions on hand,’ Yvlena thought.
Dylan was young and probably hot headed, he would want to try to test his strength.
Yvlena only hoped it wouldn’t cost him too much, she didn’t want him to get hurt. The young man had grown on her and she would do what she could for him.
