Yvlena walked into the old training room where the suit of armor that had formerly attacked her rested. Now left alone the suit had gathered dust all over its shining metal.
Yvlena felt bad for the visage of the Harvest Guardian and resolved to clean it up with one of the rags she had made after she was done sweeping and mopping the training room.
“Let’s get started,”
The sweeping came easily, Yvlena took the old broom and with the strength she could muster began moving the broom back and forth. The light scent of dust was all around her, tickling her nose and prompting her to sneeze with the dust she had kicked up from sweeping.
“Achoo!”
“Achoo!”
The elf sniffled, praying to finish up so she could begin mopping the hall. At least the water would keep any further dust from rising to disturb her senses.
The game made the dust vanish as soon as she had packed it up into a corner at the end of the room. Yvlena jumped, surprised all of a sudden by the game’s action.
Now came the mopping.
It was exhausting work mopping the large training hall. The bucket of water could only hold so much and would darken very easily after a few soaks of the mop. Yvlena would squeeze the mop fibers until her delicate hands pinked from too much force.
The dirty water piled and piled but Yvlena would not stop until she had finished this room and restored some more of the Manor.
Without this, she knew she couldn’t restore it to its original glory and Yvlena wanted so badly to reinstate the legacy of the previous Harvest Guardians.
Her mind went back to Beatrice’s family, how would Twyla feel knowing the role had fallen to a stranger and not her as expected?
“I bet she’d be pretty pissed,” Yvlena said with a humorless chuckle.
With the last of the mopping done, there were only a few things left within the hall to be repaired. The glass from the window remained untouched but the curtains were moth eaten, with large swaths of fabric missing.
Yvlena walked up to the fabric, touching it then grabbing hold of two sides to spread it apart and study what could be done. The material felt familiar to her, surely it was the same linen fabric she had been using all this while to make rags.
“Can I use it to make a curtain? I’m pretty sure I could make a dress too but I’d need a needle to sew,” Yvlena said, letting go of the curtain so it was once again resting against the walls.
She took the linen rag out of her inventory and approached the armor with a bucket of water from the well outside.
“Let me just give you a wipe like I did the statues,” She said to the suit of armor.
With the damp rag, she wiped the dust until she could see her face reflected in the metal before her. The Visage of the Harvest Guardian looked so much better now that she had cleaned it.
Inspecting it now, Yvlena noticed the armor had the same intricate designs as Vaelindor’s armor on the statue outside.
“Could the Visage be a relic of the first Harvest Guardian?”

“Look at that! My deductions were correct again,” Yvlena said nodding, she worked until every inch of the armor was clean, including the sickle it held in its hand.
“It looks like the Moon Sickle but there’s something more ancient about this one,” Yvlena said washing the rag until it was free of dust. “Well, I’ve done all I can do for now,”

“Ah it’s so nice to be outside again, the Manor was getting stuffy,” Yvlena said as she relaxed under her favorite tree overlooking the garden she had started.
She used her free time to check the final summon slot and examine the summon she had gotten from Bavga.
If Yvlena’s suspicions were correct, Bavga had probably meant to give the summon to Lilian but unfortunately, the previous Harvest Guardian had passed away before she could receive the gift, leaving Yvlena to be the one to carry on.
“What are the chances that I would be a summoner too, maybe it’s based on what class you have?” Yvlena tried figuring out the logistics of the game before deciding she was there to play a game not work on its mechanics.

“Oh that’s super useful, I’ll have to try it during my next foray into the Verdant Woods when I fight the next Minor Miasmic Entity,” Yvlena got up and dusted herself off.
She needed three things from the Artisan district.
To visit Laurent and to see if Madame Pratt sold the crafting recipe for the curtains at the Manor and a needle.
The walk to the Artisan District was quiet as her boots clacked across the cobblestone streets, it wasn’t long before Yvlena found Madame Pratt’s shop and entered without hesitation.
This time the woman had a customer with her. The customer seemed to be of noble origin, Yvlena could tell from the way the silken robes moved in tandem with the customer’s motions as they spoke.
Yvlena silently walked up to the counter, trying not to interrupt the two NPCs who were conducting their business.
“Thank you,” Madam Pratt said accepting her payment, the customer turned to Yvlena, finally allowing her to see it was a woman.
“You seem familiar,” the customer said to Yvlena. The woman narrowed her eyes and scrunched up her face, trying to remember where she had seen Yvlena around town.
“I’m frequently around town, I think our paths may have crossed once or twice,” Yvlena said before the NPC could speak further.
“Ah that’s true, have a nice day,” the NPC said leaving.
“Ah, Yvlena, what can I do for you,” Madam Pratt said from behind the counter. She stood on a small stool folding fabric to place back on the shelves, Yvlena wondered where she got them from. Did she make all her fabric with a loom too?
“I was wondering if you had any crafting recipes for linen curtains?” Yvlena asked.
“That’s easy enough to find, give me a moment will you?” Madam Pratt said patiently as she continued to fold.

“I see you took my advice to weave something a little easier than silk,” the woman said stepping down from the stool.
Yvlena nodded.
“Yes and the linen came out better than the silk, I wonder what else I could weave,”
“You could spin wool too with that loom, but it’s slightly harder than spinning linen, I would purchase from you as well if you happen to spin wool into yarn for me,” the seamstress said.
Madam Pratt allowed Yvlena to purchase the curtain recipe from her.
“What else do you need?”
“A basic needle,” Yvlena said, recalling she would need it to patch up the holes in the curtains that were left standing.
