The first thing he noticed was that his mana had increased to 200 and was now back to full. When before his level up he had sat at 53MP. The next thing he noticed was the extra Xp had been carried over to this level. Now he was the most happy about his mana doubling in capacity, the doubling would mean that now he generated 40MP an hour. This would give him a bit more room when deciding what to spend his mana on. Instead of spending it all at once and then having to wait for 5 hours before being able to do anything else.

Before he did anything though he quickly bought an electrical water pump for 200MP. It had a reach of about 300 meters for natural water. And it would save him a-lot of effort in terms of pumping water. It would also be needed if he wanted to eventually be able to shower. Since he couldn’t just stand there pumping while showering he would need an automatic pump. Plus if he spent some mana stones on both an electrical filter and a electrical boiler. He would be able to have clean drinking water and hot showers!

Grinning at the idea he decided that he would buy those as soon as he could. It wasn’t like he needed a phone right now nor did he need any more drones right away. He could spend a bit on his comfort and daily life upgrades and then go back to full on survival spending. The hot shower and clean water would probably also be really good for his mental health. And in his current situation he needed any mental health he could get.

Poison snake (nature) level 3 killed + 90Xp

Yep this was turning out to be a pretty great day.

He decided to check how much Xp he still needed to reach the next level, he opened his status.

154/600 Xp

He had apparently also gained some Xp from building that purifier. He had quickly figured out not everything he made got him Xp. It had to be above a certain level of technology. And everytime he created something that went above that certain level of tech he would gain Xp for it. But the next time he would need to create something of an even higher level of technology. Now for pure crafting classes this wasn’t the case. But since he had turned out to be some sort of hybrid class, a more combat focused one if anything. He had limitations set upon his gaining of Xp through crafting. So his main source of Xp would need to come from killing things, and then he would gain some Xp from making something every now and then.

After spending a while hooking up the power to the electrical pump that he had placed in the corner next to his air purifier. and getting some more kill notifications. He was currently already a little over halfway to level 3. After he finished he opened his door with the remote and took a look outside. It looked like the sun would start setting in a few more hours. His mana had already gotten back up to a little over 100MP.

Now he did want to go and get the dead animal corpses and more importantly the minor mana stones. But before he went to do anything he needed a little assurance. So he used his weapon creation skill and got a pistol for 100MP and he spent the little Mp he had left on some ammo for the pistol. Now he wouldn’t be reliant on his drones anymore for his personal safety and he could even start attacking things from a safe distance.

He set off towards the clearing where he had left his drones and on the way there he even encountered a flash squirrel with a water affinity. Now it looked like a normal squirrel but with blue fur. He assumed that had something to do with the squirrels affinity. But right as he was about to shoot the little squirrel, the squirrel looked his way. Its beady eyes locking onto him. And before he could shoot a white flash of light shot out from the squirrel! Jake stumbled away in surprise and quickly started rubbing his eyes that were tearing up trying to get them open as soon as possible. but when he finally regained a bit of vision he didn’t see the squirrel anywhere nearby.

“well. that explains why its called a flash squirrel” Jake mumbled out loud. His eyes still kind of watery from him rubbing and trying to open his eyes. He would need to be more careful next time. If the squirrel had been stronger he would have been a dead man. the realization of this not disturbing Jake as much as it should. In fact he felt kind of numb to the idea.

As his earlier theory of the system influencing his emotions and forcing him to stay calm even with the radical changes going on. Was turning out to be really true. Now he could feal fear and every other emotion. But it did prevent him from suffering a mental breakdown. He was both thankful that the system could do this and scared about what else the system could do to him without his choice in the matter.

As he started walkings towards the clearing with his drones again, he started thinking about what else the system could do to him without his wanting it.

What if the system suddenly started influencing him to do things he,d normally never want to do? like drive him to murder others or maybe hurt someone he cared about?

Now from what he had seen and knew from the system, it wasn’t an actual sentient being nor did it hint to having any purpose besides preparing earth for entrance into the multiverse. But it was still a small worry that stayed in the back of his mind.

A few minutes later after he arrived at the clearing filled with dead corpses.

As he got to the conclusion that worrying about it wouldn’t solve anything he turned his focus towards the corpses in the clearing. With a small sigh of displeasure at him needing to dig through every creature's innards for mana stones, he got to work.
