A big green panther was staring at the two legged creature from the grass. Seeing the creature enter its territory it had felt a bit of fear initially at the earlier experiences it had had before it had grown this big with the two legged creatures. But now that it was bigger and stronger it felt like it had less reason not to hunt the creature. Afterall it had grown incomparably stronger to what it had been before. Deciding this two legged thing would become its prey it started getting closer. Hiding itself in the tall grass surrounding it. His green skin giving him great camouflage.

The panther itself was a strange creature with three eyes and black pupils. It wasn't a native creature to earth at first. It had been a normal wild cat at first out hunting in the forests. Until suddenly its body had started hurting all over and the cat fell asleep. When it woke up it had grown, gained green skin. And it had gotten a third eye with a special ability. As it kept prowling after the two legged thing it made sure it wouldn't see it. By camouflaging with the tall grass surrounding the creature it kept a low profile and as long as it stayed a little behind the unassuming creature it wouldn’t be found until it was too late.

Jake miller while walking through the forest was regretting a lot of things. He had decided to go on a hiking trip after winning a small competition a while back. A competition which had as its price a expenses compensated hiking trip. But now that he was actually out here walking through forests and going uphill towards a mountain he was planning to camp at? He was regretting it, his feet hurt and he was bored out of his mind. But he wasn't the type of person to quit once he had started on something so he kept going. Not to mention it was far too late to turn back now he had already been hiking for 6 days now. And had long left behind any big cities. He had come across 2 rural villages but said villages were so rural they hardly had any technology at all. Besides running water and electricity..

So while he was walking he tried to keep himself busy, either with the surroundings or his own thoughts. Currently he was walking up a big hill. The hill was totally covered in a dense forest. The trees were about 4 meters tall. In the distance there was this big piece of rock reaching about 30 meters high and about 50 meters wide. The walls of the rock didn't go up in a slope but it went up as a steep rocky wall right up till the top.

He had fully underestimated the difficulty and lack of excitement on this trip. But most of all Jake missed doing one of the two things he had a true passion for; building! he loved building, ever since Jake was a kid he loved designing and building things. He,d take apart old lamps (to the dismay of his parents) and tried to put them back together again. While walking he was sinking into a feeling of nostalgia as he thought back of those memories.

As Jake grew older he started building and designing more and more things while eventually studying mechanics and in his free time he made little sketches of his dream house.. But now while walking through nature far from any big cities he was wondering to himself why he,d ever go hiking while thinking of it as a good experience.

But instead of focusing on his hurting feet he started thinking about his life, as one did when one got bored. Now jake was currently 23 years old, single, he wasn't a introvert but he wasn't really an outrovert either. He was just socially awkward since he had always mostly focused on building and exploring things as a kid and less on socializing.

As he was deep in thought and walking through a beautiful clearing he noticed something twitching in the grass out of the corner of his eye. Immediately it pulled his attention away from his own thoughts as he focused on the tall grass next to the tree in the clearing he was currently walking through. A clearing surrounded by beautiful four meter tall trees with thick brown bark and dark green leaves with sunlight shining through their canopy.

He saw two big black eyes peering at him through the blades of the tall grass. This sight stopped him in his tracks. Immediately he felt a little unnerved. Were there any animals this big native to these regions? He questioned himself. But quickly Jake focused on the eyes again as he saw them starting to move around a little.

Jake felt his eyes widen at the sight of a green panther-like creature slowly stalking towards him. Appearing out of the tall grass. It really looked like a panther, about a meter or so long and about half a meter tall. Except what surprised him the most was the third eye on the middle of its head that he hadn't noticed before! not to mention the panthers green skin! He hadn't noticed the third eye before because it was currently closed. Its green skin camouflaging with the grass.

No he had never heard of a creature like this in his life! but what he did feel was unnerved, very unnerved he had never heard of a panther with three eyes. Right away as he saw the closed third eye he knew something was wrong. he didn't know why but that eye just made him feel so so wrong, unnaturally so. As he saw the creature kept getting closer he immediately started thinking of what to do. And the first thing he thought of was losing his weight in case he needed to run or defend himself so he quickly threw his backpack off his back. Grabbed the cooking knife he had brought with him and held it out in front of him towards the creature. The creature stopped for a brief moment at the sight of the knife, maybe even looking a little surprised but quickly continued walking towards him with confidence.

Then suddenly the third eye shot open and Jake felt a wave of terror run through his body as he felt the eye staring into him. It felt like he was standing at the edge of a 100 floor building and about to fall. He basically froze in place as the panther started running towards him clearly taking this chance to attack when Jake was frozen. As he saw the panther grow closer about 10 meters away from him he felt panic set into his mind and out of sheer fear and clumsiness dropped his knife to the ground. damnit! Damnit! damnit!! this is not the time to be clumsy! Jake thought to himself. But he was unable to move right now so he just focused on it as the panther got closer.

When the panther got close enough, it jumped,green energy arcing around the panther clearly giving it a boost of some sort. and Jake watched on, trapped in his own body. And right when the panther was about to reach him the feeling of incredible fear suddenly stopped. Immediately he felt control return to his body and as soon as he did, he jumped out of the way. But it was already too late and the panther slammed into him.

As the panther slammed into Jake he was sent flying and rolling over the ground. Immediately trying to get back up, he felt his arm was bleeding. As he realized this some very intense pain hit him from his arm and Jake clenched his teeth not willing to let out even a squeak to the panther. Focusing his eyes back onto the panther that was slowly circling him he quickly stood back up. the lightning that had been arcing around the panther having stopped. The panther looked a little exhausted the lightning clearly taken something out of the panther.

As he noticed that he quickly thought of ways of how to survive and the first thing that came to mind was; He had to get his knife back. So he started looking over the clearing to see where he had dropped the knife while also in a half panicked state keeping a close eye on the panther. He quickly found the knife next to where he had stood just a moment ago before he was launched. Right then the panther who was now left of him started running towards him again. As he saw this he quickly mentally shouted to himself; dammit i have to get that knife! He quickly started running towards where he,d dropped the knife. The panther was clearly faster than he was though. He had to stall for some time as he ran towards the knife! He remembered when you get attacked you should make yourself as big as possible and intimidate your opponent to scare them away.

So while he was running he started yelling at the top of his lungs at the creature. The panther didn’t stop in its tracks for even a second. It did eye him with a little more caution now though. And that was enough for it to at least slow down the pace it was running at a little bit. He was still about 10 meters away from the knife though and even as the panther creature slowed down a little it was still faster than him. And as he saw the creature jump from the corner of his eye he immediately jumped to the side.

He still wasn't fast enough though as the panthers claw still scraped his arm. Bringing along with it more pain than Jake had experienced from the earlier attack. Making his now twice hit arm a-lot harder to move with a gash going above the elbow.This time though he quickly rose to his feet and started running towards the knife again. This time he reached the knife before the panther got the chance to attack him again.

Immediately he swung around and held his knife in front of him, pointed at the panther creature. His hands trembling both from adrenaline and fear. The panther clearly seeing this snarled at him with a shine of confidence in its eyes. Now jake wasn't an experienced fighter so he knew he couldn't win this without making at least some sacrifices. As he kept an eye on the creature he started thinking of a plan. The panther and Jake started circling each other both eyeing the other, waiting for an opening of some sorts.

And then it came to him. It would hurt a-lot but it would give him the chance to kill the panther. He grimaced at the thought of how much this was going to hurt. He spread out one arm from him and kept the other arm in front of his body. He was trying to bait the panther into the opening this gave it to attack. And the panther not being an truly intelligent creature yet, took this bait.

The panther jumped at him and bit right into his forearm. As the creature was biting his forearm, Jake took his knife in his hand while clenching his teeth at the intense pain the bite was inflicting upon him. And stabbed the knife into the panther's neck drawing blood. Although not as much as Jake had hoped. The panther immediately let go of his arm and let out a roar of pain. Afterwards turning to look at Jake with both hatred and fear in its eyes. The knife being stuck in the creatures neck still drawing a-lot of blood from the creature.

Jake and the creature both in apparent extreme pain eyed each other. Each wary of the other. Although slowly the panther started to lose the strength in its legs. Its injury clearly being fatal opposed to the less serious injuries Jake had in his arm. And then the light faded from the panthers eyes as it fell down to the ground. Jake immediately fell down with it, too tired to stand and just laid there in the grass. And then it hit him, a sensation he'd never felt before. Washing away with it all the pain he was feeling before that.

he couldn't explain it that well but the closest thing he could describe it as was a feeling of electricity running throughout his body. Then came some nausea and feeling surprised by all this he almost threw up and right when he was about to start throwing up everything he had in him, he heard a pinging noise and before his vision a text appeared. Right as he heard the ping everything froze. And as he read the message in front of him. His eyes went wide in shock and disbelief.

Earth will now undergo core changes and will undergo a period of evolution in which all living beings undergo changes and evolve, Earth will be closed off from the rest of the universe for 5 years to be able to stabilize. Before being opened up to the dangers of the rest of the universe.

As Jake saw the messages he felt a big headache hit him, not even a second later it stopped as quick as it came. Combined with a screen appearing in front of him

In front of jake appeared a list with tons of skills including descriptions. As everything was frozen around him and somehow he knew it would stay frozen until he finished his awakening process. He took his time scrolling through the list and making a selection of skills he wanted right now. He got 30 options, many of the skills were either direct combat or protective skills. A few were support skills and another few were creation skills. Out of the 30 skills though he found some that he could make good use of. Out of those that got his attention he picked his favorite four that he felt would be of great help to him.

* create drone

At a initial cost of mana this skill allows you to summon and control drones, as the skill levels up you will get access to a larger selection of drones and earlier versions will sometimes receive additional upgrades. Drones can be used for combat, scouting, automation or other tasks. *further information can be seen on acquisition*

* Construction

At the cost of mana the user can build and create structures and technology limited to buildings. As the level rises you can build more advanced technology and structures. *further information can be seen on acquisition*

* Weapon creation

At the cost of mana the user can summon weapons, As the level rises the selection of weapons that may be summoned will grow. Only the user can used summoned weapons. *further information can be seen on acquisition*

* vehicle creation

At the cost of mana this skill allows the user to create vehicles. As the skill level rises the selection of vehicles that may be summoned will grow and performance of vehicles may be enhanced. *further information can be seen on acquisition*

Jake felt like these four skills would have the most potential and suited him best. Obviously he chose construction because he,d always loved building and the idea of him being able to finally truly create and let his imagination run wild truly spoke to him. Not to mention the use of it in terms of survival; being able to create a shelter and being able to create defenses for it (such as traps or turrets) would be extremely useful

Since from the earlier system messages he surmised everything on earth would start evolving and earth would become much more dangerous. He imagined to himself an zombie apocalypse type of deal except with monsters and people with superpowers So since everything would become more dangerous and cities and the wild would both become extremely unsafe. a good shelter would be necessary,

Next he would probably choose Create drone. He felt like the skill held huge potential and would be of great use to him. He could already see himself being escorted by combat drones or making a tiny army of loyal machines. Not only would it give major utility options such as work drones for carrying stuff or scouting drones for gathering information. But the combat drones would give him a great way to defend and attack.

As for his next skill it was between vehicle creation and weapon creation. While vehicles would become a big help and maybe he could eventually even get spacefaring vehicles as was his main hope if he decided to pick this skill, weapon creation was much more useful in his current situation. Unknowing what other dangers now lurk the evolving earth besides that obviously already evolved panther, he needed a method to defend himself right away. Not to mention futuristic guns and weaponry didn't sound that bad at all.

But then again maybe create drone at its first level would immediately give him a combat drone? But then again this wasn’t guaranteed. And Jake wasn't about to make a bet with his life on the line. Because no matter how great the future potential of vehicle creation was. If he died right now because he had no way to fight back , it would all be useless. So eventually he chose Weapon creation.

As soon as he finalized this decision a new messaged immediately arrived
