8. Crazy person

8. Crazy person

As they slipped past most of the fighting, they couldn't tell how the animals have changed. The only thing they saw was that the animals were killing, so they did what most humans would do, run.

"It still sounds like people are getting themselves killed." Shane comments, hearing battle shouts and screams of pain.

"Having powers must have fed their ego, just running into fights without thinking." Clyde replied

Thinking of the smiles those poor chaps put on before getting clawed to death, it sent shivers down both of their spines.

"I think it's best if we don't get our confidence that high."

"Yeah, it would be better to just avoid fighting for now." Clyde said as they hid from view of the incoming dogs, huge, covered in spines, fire breathing dogs.

The dogs then disappeared into an alley, looking for people to swipe with their bloodied claws.

Both of them sighed in relief as they continued their esape.

"Clyde, did you gain levels when you killed the rats from before?"

Clyde shook his head "Nope, I don't think there is a levelling system in place."

"Ahhhhhh, What a bummer."

"We still won't be able to fight with this many of them just wandering the streets. So even if there was a levelling system, we still wouldn't fight."

Shane scratched his head before getting his thoughts back on track. Even though they were getting quite a good distance away from the school, he couldn't see any shortage on the amount of monsters he could see. In fact, he could see even more dogs going towards their school.

"Clyde, we need to pick up our pace, this area might be filled to the brim with dogs by tomorrow."

Clyde only nodded as they sped up their pace while mainting their cover so as to not get themselves killed.

Just a bit further from them, a person with messy hair, dirt covered face, and blood soaked clothes was facing a group of dogs. He was pleading mercy to them when he saw two people rushing on the corner of his eye.

He suddenly felt as if god had given him something to grab on to, because he suddenly dashed towards them, screaming "HELP! HELP ME!" with tears running down his face as he did so.

The dogs, of course, followed the man as if they were playing tag with their owners, except the ending to this one would be more chewy, and bloody.

"Dammit!"

Shane and Clyde fled the moment the man started to scream, going in a zigzag pattern to lose both him and the pack of dogs.

The man's screams ended as abrubtly as it came, with the smaller dogs tearing his head and limbs away from his body. Some of the dogs who saw the man run also seemed to know the reason why the man ran away in this direction. Their eyes flashed with intellegence as they sniffed the surroundings, looking for traces of their new prey.

"Damn crazy person." Both of them thought as they hid themselves among the trash, hiding their scent.
