Shima stood dumbfounded inside the building. Her eyes drooped down to the floor and onto her fellow magical girl. A symbol of justice and hope against monsters lying unresponsive and broken in front of her.
"Tweet." A Pine Grosbeak flew inside the building, landing on her shoulder. The bird flapped its wings and rubbed her beak on Shima's fluffy dyed hair. "Tweet Tweet?"
Her inner voice was screaming in anguish but her throat was frozen and unmoving. The sounds of nature dug into her ears, leaves rustling in the wind, water flowing down the creek, the sounds of birds singing about death and loss.
Her legs stood and remained steady being supported by her instinct alone. "It's too quiet." Shima eyes gazed at the ceiling, her body laying on the ground without her knowing how and when.
Shima doesn't know what to do. She's confused. She's lost. Shima is, no… I'm crying. I am Shima.
"Tweet Tweet?"
The bird was loud. This shady guide of mine could do nothing but make pointless noise. Why didn't it warn us about the eel? Why didn't we expect the monster? Lack of experience? Is somebody laughing right now?
I laid still, moving my fingers back and forth, scratching the ground. My nails felt like they were about to fall off but I knew for certain it would grow back again quickly. My injuries and wounds all healed up when I woke up, why can't she heal it up? Aren't magical girls supposed to be heroes? Not food.
Am I a magical girl? How are magical girls chosen? I can't think. It's too loud. What is that sound? Flesh ripping? Bone crushing? Glass shattering echoes. It won't stop.
I raised my head up slowly, my eyes focusing on Rei's body. There was a trail of blood from outside to right here in front of me. Her body was dragged inside by a disgusting monster. And that monster was standing on top of her, pecking and eating her corpse.
I rushed to the beast and grabbed it by its wings. It screamed at me, its voice grating and annoying as always. Its sharp talons scratched my arms and its ugly beak tried to bite my hands but the pointless attack did nothing to me. I ripped off one of the wings and scattered its feathers.
The beast pleads and its tears did nothing to me. I won't fall for its petty crocodile tears. I tossed the bird outside and watched it run away in anger. My hands shivered and my appetite was growing. I dried my hands free of blood and stepped over the body.
If all I need to use magic is to imagine it clearly and to visualize attacks then a stable creative mind is what I need. But how can I think clearly now? Repressing and ignoring my problems just to let them out for a short while. And during a short time of healing, new problems appeared. I should just keep it all bottled up.
Why do I need a clear mind to use magic? Magic is the power of belief and imagination. If I think I'm strong then I'm strong? If I think I can shoot flames from my fingers then why do I think of only shooting flames?
Why do I need to think? I want to just let it all out. I can't and won't visualize these murders any more. I'm tired. I'm gonna sleep and think about my problems on another day as usual.

Shima stepped out of the building. Her feet left behind marks of blood and sorrow and her mouth was wide agape. Her eyes were emotionless and barren of life.
A eel swooped down at fast speeds leaving behind a trail of sparkling volts. She floated to the side, her body gracefully leaving behind a trail of shining bubbles. With one raised hand, she crushed the air above the eel and molded it into a bright orange block.
She slammed the block down at the eel, turning it into coins and erasing all of its presence.
Another eel swooped down, leading its charge with a long sharp blade of electricity. Shima pushed her arms forward, launching the coins at the eel and stopping it in its tracks.
The coin surrounding the eel dropped it into the ground and began sliding into the eel's body, leaving behind multiple holes. She slid to the eel and raised her wand into the air. With her bare strength, she crushed the wand and morphed the fragments into a blue sturdy boomerang.
Her legs collided with the eel, exploding it into dust and sparkles. As she continued sliding, she threw the boomerang up at the eels circling in the air, knocking their flight out and forcing them to float down.
She stopped her legs from sliding any further and jumped up. She raised a hand up high into the air with four fingers pointing to the sky. The ground shooked beneath her and cannons sprouted around her aiming at the eels.
She swung her hand down and the cannons began firing their contents in the air. Orbs of energy collided with the eels, evaporating them into pixels and virtual points.
A barrage of four happened, with most of the bullets removing the eels as they fell. As for those that were not struck by the boomerang, they took two hits before exploding into confetti.
The cannons ran out of fire power and one singular eel remained in the air. It was unlike the others, completely stationary and uncaring for its surroundings. The only thing it had on its mind was to finish its delicious cold meal.
The cannons exploded, launching Shima into the air. With a trail of dust under her, she flew way past the eel in terms of height. She grabbed her cape and glided towards the eel, her face dripping with sweat, and blood running down her nose.
She spun in the air above the eel, letting go of her cape and spinning her heels together. She dropped down, the numbers 999 and the words high score circling her. Her feet connected with the eel, pushing it down into the ground at fast speeds and forcing it to spit out its stomach contents.

With a graceful landing, her shoes touched the ground next to the eel thrashing in pain. She raised her foot up and stomped on the eel's head turning it into the words K.O.

A girl with stylish clothes was walking down the empty streets lacking any humanity in sight. She rubbed her face and surveyed her surroundings, making sure to remember every single detail, even the dust in certain window panels.
She was Okumura Fuji or more commonly known by her colleagues and enemy as the magical girl of softness. She was a girl most commonly seen to be caring and protective of other magical girls and was the current leader of the magical girl council. The only thing more remembered than her leadership status was her massive hat.
"Is that?" She flipped her hat into the air and flicked her earlobes. She grabbed the hat and pulled out a skateboard with a bunny design.
She rolled on the empty streets until she arrived at the silent street occupied by Shima. She stood still, looking at the ground as her blood dripped into the road.
"Hey." Okumura shouted at the day-dreaming girl. Her eyes instantly being pulled towards the blood leaking from the girl's nose. "Judging by your clothes, you're a magical girl." Her eyes wandered up into the girl's head and at her hat.
"Nice hat."
She knocked on her fluffy top hat, knowing she wasn't alone in the faction of magical girls who like hats. However the girl didn't react even with the wonderful and heartfelt compliment Okumura gave.
"How bizarre." She rubbed her chin with her gloved hand. "Please name yourself." She got closer to Shima, her skateboard moving slowly with every push from her foot.
"Hello? Are you aw- woah!" Okumura ducked and her hat was struck by Shima's fist. She reacted quickly, kicking her skateboard forward, making Shima move out of the way and allowing her to gain some distance.
She flipped her hat and pulled out a massive scythe, its sharp edge coated in a pink line. It had a ribbon on the bottom and the top of the scythe's handle. She gripped it tightly in the middle as her eyes switched to a more serious tone.
Seeing this, Shima pulled a blade out of the ground. A two handed blade known as a zweihander.
"A duel? Hmph!" Okumura readied her scythe and charged forward. She swung it down and it clashed Shima's blade, pushing them both backwards.
However Shima retained the better posture from the impact, she swung her sword at her opponent. Okumura responded by swinging her scythe from under the sword, lifting it up and pulling Shima's arms up.
Using this favorable move, she slashed at the side, swinging at her and stopping it before it touched her opponent's torso. "Surrender. With one pull, I can slice and remove your upper body from well you know."
Shima swung her sword down at Okumura forcing her to retract her scythe and throw her head up, blocking the blade with her hat. The blade shattered and Shima hands dropped the weapon. "See. I'm merciful."
Shima slid back, her feet grinding the floor. She threw her hands forward into the air, crushing the air around Okumura and surrounding her with differently shaped colored blocks.
Okumura jumped out of the cage, her hat colliding with a falling block. The block shattered into debri and she landed on one of the L shaped blocks. “Enemy seems to rely on instinct, doesn't understand that my hat is unbreakable. Might be an invader disguised as a magical girl or a girl who's not thinking straight."
She stopped squatting on the block and stood up. "Better play it safe." She flipped her hat and shoved her scythe in. "Hey you might not hear me but you're in big trouble! I'm gonna knock you out!"
She charges forward, holding her fluffy top hat on her left hand and forming a fist with her right. Shima spun to the left, throwing out coins in every direction. The coins struck the ground and nearby buildings leaving behind small coin shaped holes.
Okumura repelled the coins with her hat, bouncing the coins to the ground and back at Shima. The coins stuck to her and stopped her legs from spinning.
She grabbed the coins on her body and shook her hand filled with them. She threw the coins into the air, grabbing Okumura's attention before slamming at her with a brown mallet.
She reacted quickly, pushing her hat into the mallet's path and stopping it from hitting her. "How did-?" Shima dropped the mallet, letting it fall to the ground quickly and shatter into white glass.
In that short amount of time, when the mallet fell, it instantly came back into her hands. Shima brought down her mallet and crushed the girl's head.
Okumura’s body abruptly fell to the ground. She slammed her hands to the floor and flung her legs up, kicking the mallet's body and breaking it. Shima threw the handle away and pulled out another zweihander from the ground.
Okumura pushed the broken pieces of the mallet off her bloodied face and flicked her fingers. Shima's balance was attacked by a rouge skateboard and Okumura pounced on her.
Holding the bottom of her hat away from her, the hat swallowed Shima's zweihander and got her near her enemy. She let go of the hat and slammed her first at Shima's shoulder, staggering her.
Using her gloved hand, she wiped the sweat off her face and slapped Shima in the face. A vibrant shockwave formed on the impact and Shima was knocked out cold by the magical girl of Softness.
"Finally."

"Hey, do you think she likes pie? I have some leftover blueberry pie."
"Leftovers?."
"Yeah a couple crumbs?"
"Crumbs?! What is she, a bird?"
"Maybe? Have we checked for wings?"
"Don't listen to her, anybody would be grateful to receive crumbs from you."
"She has such an ugly outfit. And that hat as well. Not very fashionable, a bow would be better."
"Shut up. Hats are cool, also if you're gonna comment about magical girl outfits then stop wearing your pajamas here in the office!"
"Hey I'm back!"
"Damn it."
"Woah, why are you guys surrounding that girl… Wait, is it a dying fan? Not gonna lie, if I was dying from a disease and was also blind I feel like I could still make a better outfit than what she's wearing."
"No, she's a random girl I found on the road and don't be rude. Maybe she is the magical girl of bad fashion."
"Don't pick up homeless people."
"Well she's not… I think"
"Anyway you do admit it sucks, I mean her fashion."
"No… Well yeah of course it does. Look at her, even the hat can't save her style."
"The hat is bad as well."
"Yeah I agree.
"Me too."
"That is true."
"Shut up all of you."
"She has lovely hair doesn't she? She reminds me of someone."
"Woah! When did you arrive here?"
"Greetings Mori, no time no see."
"Wait everyone quiet, she's waking up."
I gently opened my eyes and gazed at the girls surrounding me. Truth be told I was awake way earlier but the situation was too awkward to wake up. I didn't want to interrupt their meaningless conversation. Well not really.
"Hello… umm."
"Hello!" A girl wearing a male sailor uniform greeted me first. "I'm Ayaka, the magical girl of the Abyss. Nice to meet you."
"I'll be in your care."
"And I'm Chiasa, the magical girl of Protection. That means I'm really hard to kill." She said proudly, her smile piercing through her helmet.
“I'll be in your care as well.”
"I'm Okumura Fuji, the leader of the magical girl council, nice hat by the way." Said a girl with a comically sized fluffy top hat. It reminded me of cat fur. On close observation, she possesses cat ears similar to those in the media. That's kinda creepy.
"You just thought I was creepy didn't you? I can see it in your eyes."
"I should lie to her, being rude would do me no favors." Of course not, your hat and ears are very cute.
"You switched your internal monologue and comment just now!"
"Hey double surname, you forgot to tell her what magical girl you are."
"Oh. I didn't know your parents got divorced and remarried Okumura." Said Ayaka with a sad expression on her face."
"What? No, Justice meant that my first name was also a surname."
"Is that so? Don't worry I think it's admirable to have two surnames for a name~"
"If you want I can give you my surname so you can also obtain the title of double surname."
"No thanks Chiasa."
"Ouch!"
"Shut up you two." The girl called justice chimed in. "If she's not gonna say it then I will, this girl over here is the magical girl of Softness! Bwahahaha! That's so stupid right?"
"Not really, I don't even know my own title."
"Ehh? That's weird but I heard weirder. I'm Mori, the magical girl of Justice and there's also another girl, she's not here but her name is Kohaku. She's the magical girl of Time. You would know it's her by the way she dresses."
"... Am I next?" The girl wearing train printed pajamas pointed at herself. Chiasa nodded and raised a thumbs up.
"I don't know why we are introducing ourselves. It's not like you're gonna be a member of the council but either way, I'm Adrinia."
She jabbed her hand forward and I shook it. I gaze at the last girl in the room, a famous person anyone who lives in this country would know. Despite only working in less than half the landmass, her face is plastered from top to bottom in the country.
Her heart shaped pupils gazed at me. With a face filled with love and kindness, she oozed comfort. The halo on top of her head and her wide white wings gave her the characteristics of an angel. I wasn't religious but her demeanor was enough to pull me into any faith. But at the same time, her face reminded me of something bad. A feeling of irk and a feeling of hatred. A feeling opposite of love.
"I'm the Magical Girl of Love. But I think you knew that already as a magical girl." She smiled widely, her face slightly contorting too widely. "But you can call me Ai."
"Yeah… Of course…" Their eyes all looked at me waiting for me to do something. It was obvious what they wanted me to do. "I'm Shima Ayami, a magical girl just like you all. I will be in your care."
A short introduction with no substance.
"Shima…" Okumura rubbed her head and pulled out something from her pockets. "You remind me of someone, someone I lost. Please join the council, I will help you out."
"Huh?"
