Chapter 960

Chapter 960:

Alicia reached up to wipe away his sweat. “Let’s stop,” she suggested, her body aching, mindful of his recent surgery. “You’ve just been discharged.”

Caden didn’t say anything, but his actions clearly conveyed his response.

Despite taking occasional breaks over the next three days, the frequency of their intimate encounters brought Caden a deep sense of fulfillment. He had indulged himself thoroughly, leaving Alicia completely drained.noveldrama

Under Alicia’s firm insistence, Caden agreed to a temporary pause. He tucked her into a warm, cozy spot to sleep and then went to prepare some food.

Wrapped in a blanket, Alicia watched him move about the kitchen. Despite her tiredness, she couldn’t help but smile.

Caden, aware that her hands were aching, took it upon himself to feed her.

Alicia finished her meal slowly.

Noticing her slightly rounded belly, Caden felt a surge of contentment. He couldn’t help but place his hand over it. Yet, as his mind shifted to their lost baby from two years ago, his smile faded into a pensive expression. At that time, their baby had been two months old. The tiny fetus was only the size of a thumb then, and Alicia showed no external signs of pregnancy.

Despite the passage of two years, the painful memory of their loss was still sharp and clear. It felt as though an unseen force squeezed Caden’s heart, making his fingers tremble.

Alicia placed her hand over Caden’s.

Turning his face away, Caden’s voice was rough with emotion. “You should rest. I’ll clean up and then come back.”

But Alicia wouldn’t let him go. She climbed into his lap, seeking comfort in his embrace.

Caden pulled the blanket around her. He held her tightly, his eyes never leaving her face. “Are you tired?” he asked softly.

Alicia didn’t hide her fatigue and nodded. “I’m exhausted!” she said, looking at him pointedly. “You seem to only think of your own needs.”

Caden chuckled. Though he had indeed exhausted her, she had always experienced pleasure before him during their intimate moments.

From the beginning until now, Caden had always been attentive. He massaged her aching waist. “Is the pressure alright?”

“It’s fine,” Alicia murmured.

Caden’s hands didn’t linger. They moved from her back down to her legs, soothing every part of her. His gentle touches unintentionally stirred her again.

Alicia’s soft murmurs began to shift in tone.

Pausing momentarily, Caden suddenly asked, “Lucky, let’s get married, okay?”

Taken aback, Alicia was silent.

His massage remained gentle and rhythmic, though he avoided her gaze. Alicia didn’t say anything.
