As Lone left The Adventurer's Guild, he checked the information of his two new skills.
Active Skill: Ancestor's Eyes
A skill that allows the host to peer into the target's essence.
Shows the host the target's biggest weakness.
Cost: 300,000 SP Mastery: Beginner Level 1
'Holy fuck. That's a lot of fucking SP. I can't even use this skill yet. I need another, what, fifty-k roughly? Also, weakness? So Sarah now knows my greatest weakness? Fucking great. What even is my greatest weakness? Soph and Sophie? The Wanderers? My own arrogance? Man, I'm really curious... Okay, as soon as I have enough SP, I'm using this on myself with a mirror,' Lone decided as he moved his focus to the skill's resistance counterpart.
Passive Skill: Ancestor's Eyes Resistance
A skill that allows the host to resist the effects of the skill [Ancestor's Eyes].
When the skill [Ancestor's Eyes] is used on the host, it shall cost 5% more and has a 5% chance to display the host's second-biggest weakness instead.
Cost: N/A Mastery: Beginner Level 1
'Okay, not bad. But at the same time, how many people out there besides Sarah and I own this skill? I can't imagine many. Well, I guess I can use this skill at least once a day on myself when I finally have enough SP to farm the resistance. That might be more important than the skill itself,' Lone decided as he met back up with Infa, then left the city.
----------------------------------------
Now a mile away from Mystopolis's towering amber walls, Lone asked Sophie to stop torturing their XXX-ranked prisoner and swap with Soph.
The girl appeared out of thin air, naturally, after having exited The Glade. She hugged Lone and kissed her daughter, Garadia, on the forehead. "You need me?"
"I always need you," Lone replied smoothly as he leaned down and pecked her gently. "But yeah, do you mind teleporting for me? I need to go almost two-point-five-thousand miles west by southwest. I've got a bunch of spare mana orbs that you can use if it's too long of a trip for you to do in one go."
Soph nodded. "Okay. Maybe I can reach the max level today then. Teleportation is already at master-level-ten," she said with a bright smile on her adorable face. "It's grown a lot from all of the constant use over the past week."
"It's already such an amazing skill, so I wonder how it'll evolve? You've got my hopes up now," Lone said proudly.
Soph's smile cracked slightly. "U-Um, d-don't be upset if it doesn't evolve or doesn't change much, p-please..."
Lone sighed lightly and kissed her once again. "Nothing that you do can upset me when you're trying your best."
"Lone..." Soph wrapped her arms around him, but she didn't squeeze him too hard since their daughter was wedged between the two of them.
Infa watched all of this silently. 'Rockmother and Rockfather never treated me like that before... Odd. Why are they so... touchy with each other?'
Regardless of the three-year-old dragon's thoughts, he, Garadia, and Lone all entered The Glade and then Soph began teleporting to Rohemiastas' capital city, Uk-uk-thar.
----------------------------------------
Ten-hours later, Soph had her head on Lone's lap as she stared at her newly evolved Teleportation skill.
Unique Skill: Remembrance Teleportation
A skill unique to the host, Sophie Vladimirovich, and it cannot be used or learnt by any other existences other than herself.
Can teleport the host up to 1,000,000-meters in any direction where the host may physically materialise (includes inside of bodies of liquid).
Any location that the host has previously been to, they can teleport to (currently only applicable on Altros).
Cost: 50,000 MP (An additional 50,000MP per extra target being teleported) Mastery: Beginner Level 1
"Lone, um, I can teleport anywhere that I've already been before, but, um, only on Altros..." Soph shyly informed the man whose lap she was using as a pillow.
Lone raised an eyebrow. "Really? That's fucking insane. Like, anywhere? It doesn't say that you'll be blocked by enchantments or barriers or anything? You could go back to the elven island southwest of Milindo right now if you wanted to?"
Soph gently shook her head. "Um, it doesn't say, but, uh, I could teleport through those things before anyway. I can't teleport now since the cost went all the way up to fifty-thousand per teleport, but after a bit of rest, em, yeah, I could go back there if you wanted me to."
"Fifty-k? That's a massive leap. Has the range of the base teleport gone up at least? Or can you now only teleport to places you've been before?" Lone asked with the telltale inquisitive voice of his which made it clear how interested he was in the current subject.
Soph felt warm. it was amazing to her to be the entire focus of Lone for even a single moment considering how busy he usually made himself, so to have his undivided attention right now, well, that made her feel genuinely special.
"Um, the previous limit went up to a million-meters, so the cost, uh, does make sense. The cost also goes up by another fifty-thousand per person I teleport, but that's fine since I don't need to use it to fight really, and you have The Glade, so transportation is fine," Soph explained with a voice that was so soft that it relaxed Lone's entire being.

The foxkin scratched his chin thoughtfully. "How much mana do you have now, by the way?"
"Um, lemme check," Soph cutely replied as she pulled up her status sheet to see how much it had gone up. She honestly didn't look at it every time she levelled up like Lone did, so she wasn't quite sure what to expect.
Status Name: Sophie Vladimirovich Sex: Female Age: 974 Level: 2,613 [+1,625] Species: Human Rank: SSS [Up 2 entire ranks!] HP: ∞ SP: 743/1,580 [+910] MP: 29,201/2,323,090 [+1,265,400] WF: 2,000/2,000 Basic Stats Strength: 289 [+132] Vigour: 158 [+ 91] Dexterity: 396 [+121] Agility: 158 [+47] Vitality: ∞ Luck: 73,198 [+3,900] Secret Stats Magic Power: 232,309 [+126,540]
"Two-point-three-million, Lone," Soph replied as she closed her eyes and snuggled up to a bunch of his fluffy tails.
Lone laughed wryly. "You're so amazing. The things that I could do with that much mana... I wonder why you gain so much when we level up? Anyway, it's definitely a good thing."
"Mmm... By the way, my HP and Vitality have a weird sideways eight instead of numbers now. What does that mean?" Soph asked curiously.
"Hmm?" Lone seemed perplexed for a split-second before he realised what Soph meant. "A lemniscate?"
"A lemonwhatamajig?" Soph had no idea what the word that had come out of Lone's mouth meant.
Lone smiled warmly at her cuteness. "A lemniscate, or more commonly, an infinity symbol. I guess it got changed when you regained your immortality. Kinda makes sense in retrospect. Why would you need HP or vit if you literally cannot die? I kinda assumed they'd get removed, but an infinite amount makes just as much sense."
Soph nodded slowly, not fully understanding, but trusting that Lone was correct. "Um, I'm not really tired, but, uh, is it okay if you summon Kyu and let us both into The Glade? I wanna play with her and Gara to recharge my batteries."
"My tails aren't good enough for you now?" Lone asked teasingly.
Soph sulked as her cheeks blushed. "You're busy, so, I, uh, don't mind letting my floofy kingdom go for a bit... Also, um, when you meet Sloth, can you, em, can you tell me? I want to meet her and her friends too."
Lone gave her a curious look. "Sure, I don't mind, but why?"
"I... I wanna be more confident around new people, especially strong people, so I, uh, I kinda wanna be there and try to talk to them. If that's okay..." Soph seemed to be equally hesitant and determined at the same time, a peculiar combination, for sure.
Lone grinned and leaned down to plant his lips on her forehead. "Sure. I don't mind at all."
After that, the two kissed goodbye before Lone summoned the sleeping baby Golden Foxkin, Kyuubi, and allowed the two girls into The Glade while bringing Infa back out.
Stretching, Lone looked westward. "Well, Uk-uk-thar should be, what, about five-miles that way? Soph got so close before she got sick of using mana orbs, huh?" Lone then jumped up onto Infa's back gracefully and said, "Well then, Buddy, let's go, shall we?"
"Yes, Foxkin Lone," the baby Rock Dragon replied stoically as he began walking.
----------------------------------------
"Many tailses! Many colourses! Big dragon! Much to tax, Yes! Yes, indeed!" the gate guard - a short green-skinned being - said as it eyed Lone and Infa from top-to-bottom.
Naturally, this being was a Higher goblin charged with protecting and tolling the only gate to the capital city of Rohemiastas', Uk-uk-thar.
From atop Infa's back, Lone replied to the unhygienic creature by asking, "How much? Spit it out."
"Why so hasty, foxy mans? We must knowses whys you is coming to our grand home! yes, yes, yes, important, reason is! Affects tax, it does!" the Higher goblin claimed as it rubbed its perfectly smooth head proudly and then clasped its hands together.
Lone shot the... thing a disgusted look. "I'm here on adventurer business. Look, either tell me how much money you want, or I'll go in with or without your permission."
"Of course, of course, good sirs! Many moneys we requireses as tax! Five shinies for me, twenty for country, yes, we needs that muches!" the Higher goblin stated as it puffed its chest out as if to show how amazing it was for remembering to demand a bribe on top of the normal entry fee.
Lone held his face with his palm. "God, give me strength... What fucking colour of shiny? Bronze? If you don't state a colour, you're only getting fucking bronze."
"Why so angries, foxy mans? You decides what colours, of courses! Better treatments you gets for better shinies. How you no knows this, foxy mans? Are you stupid foxy mans? Me is smart gobgob, so me knows these things," the green-skinned creature said as it shot a gaze full of pity towards Lone.
Sighing, Lone tossed the border-demi twenty-five ruby-gold coins. "There. Can I go in now?"
The Higher goblin quickly scooped up all of the money and counted each piece one by one before a massive smirk wormed its way onto its lips. "Yes sir, fozy mans. You is very strong and very riches, yes? Be carefuls of theiveses. Anyones tries to steals from yous, let us knowses! Mes always take your sides in disputes from now on! Yous is onlys below kingses in our heart, foxy mans!"
Lone sighed. "I honestly don't give a fuck. We can go in now, right?"
"Of courses! Gate is yourses to enters! Carefuls with big rocky thing. Please don'ts breakses things. Things is valuable, so we gets in trouble if we lets in a breaker of things. We trusting you heres, okay? We smart gobgob and we knowses good people, but we has to warns just in cases," the Higher goblin said with a very genuine expression on its face.
'I've only met the Goblin King back on the elf island as far as intelligent goblins go, so I honestly never expected this, but this goblin's actually a pretty nice guy... or girl, it's kinda hard to tell. I've no clue if he'd be all rapey if I had a girl with me, but he actually seems like a nice person. I guess it was hypocritical of me to judge the Higher goblins before meeting them. They are border-demis and not monsters for a reason. I'm as bad as the Lithmons like this. C'mon Lone, stay open-minded in the future,' Lone scratched his cheek awkwardly. "I promise, we won't break anything."
"We trusts you! Have a good stayses in Uk-uk-thar, foxy mans! Now please enters. Thereses someone behinds you waiting to pay the taxeses too," the goblin said with an avarice-filled grin spread across his green-skinned and wrinkled face.
Lone chuckled internally as he signalled Infa to move forward into the city via a very light kick to his shoulder. 'A good person, but still a greedy one, it would seem.'
From below him, the deep voice of Infa asked, "Foxkin Lone, how will we find the person you are looking for?"
"I already know where they are. There's no way Sloth isn't the most powerful person here, so we're heading to the most powerful soul I can feel. Plus, there're two more powerful souls next to that one who I'm assuming are Greed and Envy," Lone replied instantly.
"I see. Souls, is it? I wonder if that is similar to how I can feel presences..." Infa mumbled in that gravelly voice of his.
"Who knows. You'll have to tell me how all of that works at some point," Lone said as he carefully leapt off of Infa's back and walked alongside him. "You seem more relaxed now."
Infa nodded his massive head. "The presences here... They do not feel nearly as sticky as back in the human city. These... Higher goblins? They are pure and very few of them contain ill-will for me. I feel that this is because they fear me, but they do not hide it. I admire that."
"Pure, huh?" Lone mimicked Infa in his reply as he led the Rock Dragon through the city towards their goal.
