The host's Primal Essence [Darkness], has regained some of his original power.
The Host has developed the skills: Darkness Resistance, Darkness Enhancement, and lastly, Darkness Domain.
These notifications flashed in front of Lone's eye the second he regained control of his body. A few things were of note like how his stats were incredibly inflated when compared to other mid-S-rankers, but the most concerning thing to Lone was that he had gained more Rage and lost some Control.
'So my anger at the Warden and Shan'len gave Void this much power? Jesus... At this rate, it's going to be impossible to keep him contained in my mind palace forever... I need to think up some countermeasures. I can't just keep weakening him with Mental Destruction forever,' Lone thought.
Lipsilk was leaned back into his chair with sweat covering his entire body. The massive clump of Darkness that was previously covering most of his chest was now nowhere to be seen, and in its place, was a large scar that was honestly quite grotesque.
Lone buried his thoughts for a moment and used his skills Minor Healing and Stamina Redirection in unison. With Lipsilk's incredible amount of stamina as an XXX-ranker, Lone was able to completely remove the scarred tissue and skin from the Fairy, making him look as good as new.
Congratulations! The host's nature magic skill [Minor Healing] has levelled up! It is now Beginner Level 9.
Congratulations! The host's nature magic skill [Minor Healing] has levelled up! It is now Beginner Level 10.
As usual, Stamina Redirection didn't level up even though Lone had used it in excess when compared to how much he had used Minor Healing. Such was the nature of World Skills that relied on actual understanding and not the skill's repeated use.
"Are you sure you're a Saint-ranked healer, Lone? No Saint-ranked healer I know of would be able to cure such a scar with nothing but Minor Healing," Lipsilk claimed in a joking tone.
Lone smirked. "Who knows? But If you ever find someone who says they're better than me, point them in my direction so I can prove them wrong."
Lipsilk laughed heartily. A few moments passed before a very content look spread across the Fairy's lips. "It's been a long time since I last laughed without suffered through immense pain. Lone, I owe you a life debt."
Stolen story; please report.
Lipsilk clenched his small fist and smiled in satisfaction at how well his body was responding to his will. "I don't know nor do I want to know how you removed Ythmagobla's curse, all I can say is that if we survive this coming war, I swear on my newly gifted life that I will always come to your aid if you ever need it. Naturally, I can't leave the tree for too long, otherwise, I would have insisted on travelling with you."
Lone waved his hand dismissively. "I would have told you to take a hike anyway. My little band of merry men has more than enough people in it already."
"Band of merry men? I don't think two out of seven people being men constitutes a band of merry men. How about a band of little girls?" Lipsilk teased.
He had heard about Kyuubi's sudden transformation into a Foxkin baby from his sister, Letty, so he included her in his words.
Lone had a wry smile on his face and he scratched his head in embarrassment. "I suppose. Anyway, there are only three things I need you to do in return for my healing services, Lipsilk."
"Speak. If it is within my capabilities and doesn't go against the tree, I am yours to command." Lipsilk was a shining example of a stereotypical Fairy. Mischievious, but at the core, unbelievably loyal.
"The first two are connected. Join my adventurer group, The Wanderers, and broadcast that you've joined to everyone that you know who is powerful. The second thing I need from you is to tell these influential and powerful people that I wish to meet them and talk about the gods," Lone said calmly.
"The gods?" Lipsilk tilted his head.
On Altros, there were no gods. In the past, many existed, but it was common knowledge that they all either died in The Beginning War or chose to become Essences and Primal Essences to serve the mortal races.
"The gods unrelated to Altros," Lone cryptically explained. "Just tell them that I want to talk about that. If they're confused and don't understand, then tell them that I just want to spread the name and reputation of my adventurer group, so communication by letter would do. In that regard, can I leave it to you to act as if you are me and reply in my place? I'm not interested if they don't actually know who I'm talking about."
Lipsilk looked very confused, but he still agreed. "That's fine. A bit out of my way, but nothing excessive. I'll bring Elder Talion with me to ensure that everyone I meet is telling the truth. This seems to be very important to you."
"Thanks, it is." Lone was pleasantly surprised at how much he was getting out of healing Lipsilk.
He had intended to cure Lipsilk regardless of rewards, but not only did he become a Mid S-ranker, but Darkness also got stronger, and now Lipsilk was treating him very well.
"That's two things. What's the third?" Lipsilk asked.
Lone grinned. "Protect the world tree with everything you've got in two days."
Lipsilk laughed. "I was planning to attack Ythmagobla until I died to help His Majesty, but indeed, now that his curse is gone, perhaps I can surprise him a bit."
Lone shook his head. "No. You and Ele'hunda aren't going to be fighting that lizard."
"What?" Shocked, Lipsilk asked, "Then who is?"
Lone smirked. "Me."

Lone was now in his bedroom with Sophie happily sitting on his lap as she cuddled several of his fluffy tails.
Lone's attention was solely focused on the three skills he had gained after Darkness regained some of his power earlier today, so he called upon the system to inspect them. Clicker's power wasn't needed when it involved Lone's own status or skills, naturally. So when he could avoid using the ability granted by that man, then he would happily do so.

"Primal Essences are insane... Sky is also on my side, isn't he? I might be powerful enough to contact him now..." Lone mumbled to himself.
Sophie didn't pay any attention to him because he talked to himself a lot and she was otherwise occupied, but Darkness did take notice of Lone's mutterings and replied.
'I wouldn't suggest that right now, Master. Sky can't even talk to me, let alone you. He is too busy sealing and controlling Void with my help. I can only converse with you and grant you my power because you made a strong connection with me before Void went out of control,' Darkness advised.
A short silence reined before the silky smooth voice that replicated his own echoed through Lone's head again. 'However, if you insist, it might be fun to watch Void rampage about for a bit. Who knows, he might calm down after venting via your body for a bit? I wonder if Sophie can satisfy him... From what I've heard, all of Void's previous avatars have all had an insatiable lust.'
'I'd sooner kill myself than let that happen,' Lone responded with no hesitation.
He was aware that the Primal Essences in his body couldn't defy his will, but after seeing Void attack him in his mind palace, the possibility that they could ignore his control if they really tried was a very genuine threat to Lone.
Shaking his head, Lone decided to do as Darkness had advised, and not bother with Sky until after the Ythmagobla and Taslo Empire situation was cleared up and he had some reassurances against Void.
"Soph, let's go to bed. It's been a long day," Lone said to his lap's occupant.
"Okay." Sophie didn't hesitate to jump off of Lone's knees and strip to her underwear.
Lone did the same thing and the two clambered into bed.
Sophie's undisputed favourite way to cuddle Lone's tails was in bed while being fully enveloped by the glorious fluffiness. 'Ehehehe... So soft...'
As usual, just before he drifted off, Lone could feel Sophie's drool covering his tails. They were a pain to wash, but thankfully, he had a fluffiness fanatic to do it for him every morning, so he turned a blind eye to Sophie's cuteness and let himself drift off to sleep.

In the dead of morning, in Eolande's room, the small woman's hair was in disarray and her eyes were bloodshot. "This is the final seal... I should have asked for more from Lone... These last few hundred enchantments were insanely powerful..."
Ignoring her mumblings, as soon as Eolande had removed the final enchantment on the wooden box, its lid swung open and a tiny seed flew out of it at lightning fast speed. It disappeared from Eolande's room, leaving her stunned.
"What the hell was that?" Eolande cocked her head to the side and looked confused. "Oh well, my job's done. I don't have time to go chasing after a magical seed."
Eolande flopped down onto her bed and fell asleep immediately. Meanwhile, the seed was quickly making its way through the outsider mansion. It almost seemed to be heading towards Lone and Sophie's bedroom...
