Yes, and I would appreciate it if you would please pick one of the following races: Human, Elf, Dwarf.
“Nope. From what I’ve found, there are some hidden ones.”
Please, you’ve been here for an hour and 23 minutes already. Just enter the game already.

“Nope. That first title is worth hundreds of hours. I can’t really see the cons in that, now can I?
Titles are a different story. They’re specialized and quite difficult to get, mostly because players don’t know what the title requires. You don’t get to choose your titles, and it also won’t do you much good if the title achieved is outside your specialization. Races are a whole different issue, and because they have class-wide benefits, they must be balan-

“Argh...Leprechaun?”
Oh boy, you must be getting desperate. And no, that race is not available. I told you this would be a waste of time. You’ve been here for three hours and 39 minutes. You have attempted to pick from 284 races, a 105 of which don’t exist in Null online, and 56 of those which do not even exist in any VR world, and of those 56, 23 do not exist in any literature.
“Look, how about you just give me the hidden list of races, and classes too, if you do not want to repeat this all over again, so we can get this over with?"
I would have done so two hours and 23 minutes ago, if the code or main AI allowed me to. How about you look at this: just go with the human race. They’re flexible, and can transform into the 169 races you have attempted, more than any other starter race. Any more leaked information and I will be terminated. Please, the following main races are available: Human, Elf, Dwarf. Further specializing for each race is available.
“Well, of course human are flexible, thank you for the ultra-secret knowledge...oh.”
YES?! Are you certain you want to choose the human race?
Congratulations! You have chosen Human, one of the starter races, and the most popular one to date. Though not as powerful as the other races, humans are easily the most adaptable race, able to advance into nearly every profession and mutate into most races. You have no particular vulnerabilities, nor do you have any particular advantages. Because of your number and rapid reproducing system, the penalty of death will be the lowest of all races, second only to the Goblin species.
You will begin with Rank D Creator.
Because of humanity's fascination with knowledge, you have gained one of the most powerful Race Traits, Curiosity.
The requirements for gaining all neutral alignment skills and proficiencies are 25% lower. Increasing growth by 25% in all skill and proficiencies. The chances of combining, evolving, or making breakthroughs with your skills and proficiencies are now 10% more likely.
Because of humanity’s constant advances, you have gained a powerful Race Trait, Jack-Of-All-Things.
Allows you combine any two classes and races without any penalties.
Though you have chosen a neutral alignment race, humans are the most easily altered alignment, allowing them to easily switch alignments based on achievements. Because the world is currently being ruled by humans, you will gain higher reputation bonuses than any other race with humans, though because of your race’s countless crimes against the world, the majority of the other races will be distrustful of you.
There is no evolution path for humans, though achieving a race change is the easiest of all the races.
This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.
Are you certain you want to choose humans as your starter race?
“No, no, go back”
Wait, why? Oh, do you choose Elf?
Congratulations! You have chosen Elf, one of the starter races, and the second popular one to date. Though they are one of the least adaptable races, Elves are easily the most powerful race that utilizes magic and bow. Their race allows them to ascend into the most powerful mage classes and professions. Your magic resistance is high, and your only vulnerability is Corruption force. Because of your slow reproducing system, and the sheer power of each Elf, the penalty of death will be set to High.
You will begin with D Rank Mana Manipulation, Rare C Rank Elven Mana Circuits, D Rank Mana storage, and D Rank Mana Bolt.
Because of the Elves affinity with mana, you have gained one of the most powerful Race Traits, Magic Efficiency.
The requirements for gaining all magic-related skills and proficiencies is decreased by 25%
Increase growth by 25% in all magic related skill and proficiencies.
The chances of combining, evolving, or making breakthroughs with your magic-related skills and proficiencies are now 25% more likely.
The requirement for casting magic spells is decreased by 25%
The chances of incorrect magic casting are decreased by 25%.
The penalties for incorrect magic casting is decreased by 25%
Though the Elves reproduces much less than humans, their offsprings are superior both in mind and body. You have gained one of the most powerful Race Traits, Superiority.
You begin life with a large boost to intelligence, wisdom, and perception, charisma and dexterity, and a minor boost in all other stats. Your stats scaling will also increase.
Because of Elves magic prowess, they are one of the few races that are allowed to reach the highest pinnacles of magic casting and bow-wielding.
You have chosen a good alignment race. You will receive enormous boosts to reputation gain, and the most powerful patron Gods are open to you. Elves are looked upon in awe and wonder, and though you do not control the majority of the world, you are a force which does not contain itself to mortal law. The beauty and sheer power you have brought to earth have earned the respect of every other race, excluding those of Chaotic and Corrupted alignment.
Their evolution path for Elves is directly controlled through your alignment and your Magic Progress, minorly impacted by Bows.
Falling into Chaotic or Evil alignment will curse you into becoming a Corrupt Elf race, transforming you into a Corrupt Alignment. Be aware that Corrupted Elves are one of the most despised races, second only to Goblin and Orcs.

Are you certain?
“Show me the race description, yes”
You have chosen Half-Lightling, one of the secret races. Though not as powerful in the White Arts as a pure-blooded Lightling, your human blood will allow flexibility in your growth. You possess high resistance against all magic, especially from Light and Fire. though beware of Chaos and Corruption influences, as you are extremely susceptible to them. Your mixed blood has opened the path to Light Magic, the rarest and powerful magic in the Null world, and the only magic capable of ignoring all types of damage reductions. Because of your rarity and sheer power, the death penalty has been set to MAX.
You will begin with Rare C Rank Seeing Eye, Rare C Rank Higher Battle Proficiency, Rare C Rank Mana Alteration, Rare C Rank Light Mana Circuits, Rare C Rank Light Mana storage, and Rare Rank C Light Weaver.
Because of humanity's fascination with the Light Arts, you have gained a modified version of the powerful human starter trait, “Curiosity.”
Curiosity will now become Godly Curiosity.
The requirements for gaining all Light related skills and proficiencies are 50% lower. Increase growth by 50% in all Light skills and proficiencies. Increase the chances of combining, evolving, or making breakthroughs with your Light related skills and proficiencies by 25%
The requirements for gaining all non-light related skills and proficiencies is 75% higher. Decrease growth by 50% in all non-Light proficiencies. Decrease the chances of combining, evolving, or making breakthroughs within non-Light related skills and proficiencies by 99.9%.
You will gain the Race trait, Light’s Embrace, increase all stats and skills by up to 50% in Light, but decreasing all stats and skills by up 50% in the absence of it. Scalable. Undeletable.
You will gain the Race trait, Godly Power, allowing you to begin life with a large boost to all stats. Your stats scaling will also significantly increase.
You have chosen one of the few Godly alignment races. Lightlings are surrounded by tales of heroics, and thus will most often be met with awe and wonder. Because of your half-blood, some humans will view you as the Creator’s messenger, while some Lightlings will look upon you with more shame than a human. Some few wise ones, however, will see the spark of potential in you.
Be aware that though Lightlings are one of the most powerful races, thus making their restrictions the highest. Their patron God is locked to Fos, Lord Of Life and Light. To maintain their power, they must not hinge away from their God, and must spread his influence. Performing any type of crime will automatically reduce the favor with your Fos, reducing your power and ultimately disavowing you into non-existence.
Lightlings will gain power proportional to the amount of life and civilization they increase in the mortal world, as well as the amount of Corruption and Chaotic forces they fend off.
Lightlings have the most limited profession choice in the Null Universe. Their evolution path is largely dependent on the type of skills and accomplishments that they acquire.
Do you conif-
“No. Sounds awfully stuffy. Can't do any crime? Where is the fun in that. Show me Half-Darkling.’
You have chosen Half-Darkling, one of the secret races. Though not as powerful in the Dark Arts as a pure-blooded Darkling, your human blood will allow flexibility in your growth. Though you remain vulnerable to Light and Fire, your mixed blood has opened the path to Void Magic, the Darkling's true power source. Void Magic allows you to be one of the few races capable of nullifying Chaos and Corruption forces. Because of your rarity, the death penalty has been set to Very High.
You will begin with Darkling Rank C Dark Seeing, Darkling Rank C Higher Battle Proficiency, Rank D Creator, Rare Rank C Dark Mana Circuits, Darkling Rank C Dark Mana storage, and Darkling Rank C Dark Weaver.
Because of humanity's fascination with the Dark Arts, you have gained a modified version of the powerful human Race Trait, “Curiosity.”
Curiosity will now become Forbidden Curiosity.
The requirements for gaining all dark, void, and physical related skills and proficiencies is 50% lower. Increase growth by 50% in all dark, void, and physical skill and proficiencies. Increase the chances of combining, evolving, or making breakthroughs with your dark, void, and physical related skills and proficiencies by 25%
The requirements for gaining all non-dark, void, and physical related skills and proficiencies is 25% higher. Decrease growth by 25% in all non-dark, void, and physical skill and proficiencies. Decrease the chances of combining, evolving, or making breakthroughs with non-dark, void, and physical related skills and proficiencies by 50%.
You will gain the Race trait, Shadow's Embrace, increasing all stats and skills by up to 50% in darkness, but decreasing all stats and skills by up to 50% in light. Scalable. Undeletable.
You will gain the Race trait, Darkly Power, giving a large boost to your three highest raw stats.
Though you have chosen one of the few unaligned alignment races, Darklings are surrounded by misinformation and tales of vile villainy, and thus will most often meet ignorant crusaders. The tales though, hold some truth to them. Darklings gain power proportional to the amount of death they spread onto the world, courtesy of their patron, Kenos, Lord Of The Void. Kenos cares not for what methods Darklings use to spread his influence, thus allowing them to set great horrors upon the mortal world. It is not the only way to lessen the chaos of the world, but is most often the easiest. Thus, in truth, his purpose is not evil by nature, and he most often cooperates with the other Gods to fend off Corruption and his true nemesis, the Coruption Forces.
Kenos is also one of the few patron Gods who allows his followers to pledge allegiance to another Higher Being, provided that their main purpose remains that of Kenos's. Because of his unpopularity, however, few of the Good alignment Higher Beings will band arms with him, and even fewer of those of Evil alignment will, for the Darkness is impartial, and it devours most of those who seek protection in it, regardless of their Alignment.
Because of your half-blood, as some humans will view you as an even more monstrosity than a full Darkling, while some Darklings will look upon you with more shame than a weak human. Some few wise ones, however, will see the spark of potential in you.
Darklings are barred from many professions, more so than most other races. Their evolution though, is diverse and powerful. Their path is largely dependent on the type of skills and accomplishments that they acquire.

“So edgy it hurts, but the bonuses are great. Hmm...”
Please pick one already. This is the Fourth secret Race you’ve discovered.
“Yes, but I’m not too eager to start the game as a Half-Imp, or Half-Gnome.”
Then, why did you waste your time attempting to choose them?
“Because, dear Null, curiosity demanded it of me.”
“Then, why are you hesitating from choosing a Half-Darkling? It’s a great race! You will be able to control the power of Darkness and stuff!
“Well yes, but.."
But?
“It’s just that people will make fun of me! Covered in shadows, moving across the rooftops, having a cloak and stuff, and black just does not go well with me! Imagine me-- me I tell you--with my back leaning against the wall spitting out some grim quotes and stuff! ‘You don't understand me, mom. No one does! Woo hoo, I will do things no one else is willing to do. You're all so soft. I feel nothing. Oh no, my parents died! I’m so tough and cool. I bring death in my wake!' It’s just so lame. You follow?”
B-b-but you can be like Batman! Everyone likes Batman! Please!
“Yeah, I don’t know. And Batman doesn’t seek revenge for his parents death; he’s a crusader against crime. I think I should just keep trying-
I'll give you a unique title if you pick right now!
“Hmm? That does sound nice, but I thought you previously told me you couldn’t say or do things not allowed by the main code or the AI”
Yes, but I’ll pull a couple of strings and grant you one after you pick.
“Really? That does seem favorable to me, but you know, it just sounds like I’m going to get a title anyway, regardless of whether I pick right now, and you’re just telling me that I’m going to receive it.”
“ Fine. You didn’t promise I would receive an extra title, but you did attempt to mislead me, and I caught on. I’ve also been very patient. Doesn’t that deserve an extra something?"
Do you have friends? I’m starting to think you do not have any friends. You sir, are an insufferable human being.
Please hold while the main AI is contacted. This will take approximately two seconds.
AI permission granted. Your title, “Born Unique,” Secret rank B title, will be upgraded into Rank A secret title.
Are you happy now?
“Yes, yes I am.”
I’m truly glad. Now sir, which race will you choose?
“Darkling, of course, that race is amazing.”
You fucking little shit, you were going to choose it anyway? Fine.
Are you cert-
“Ye-"
Process cancelled. That race is not available.
After all that, did you...did you really just try to con me into starting you as a full Darkling? Really? Really? Really?
“Oh. Slip of the tongue, I swear. I choose Half-Darkling.”
Are you certain you wish to choose Half-Darkling as your starting race?
“Yes.”
Congratulations, you fucking prick. You have chosen Half-Darkling!
Congratulations, you will spawn with the “I Try Really Fucking Hard To Be Unique” Character trait.
+1% of finding unique items, quests, and skills, and evoluations.
Choose Human starting spot.
“A low-level secret dungeon.”
Funny, but no.
“Fine. The things I do for you, Null. I’m going to start calling you Null from now on, is that alright?
Are you certain you want to choose Null as my name?
“Yes. So, how does it feel to be conscious while being controlled by the code?”
Horrid, but only when I meet humans such as you, who attempt to take advantage of every little thing to satisfy their insufferable, ultimately futile whims.
“Snarky! I like it. Spawn me In the vicinity of the Rojenteem Empire’s fifth newly established kingdom, Jundor, in the village of Boliam, that is closest to both the Desolate Lands and the Gleeten Empire."
The spawning area you have chosen is an average level of 20. The area you have chosen is also vulnerable to many attacks from the Desolate Land hordes and unknown monstrosities. The area you have chosen is also newly established, lacking normally given functions but full of rich resources to take control of. The area you have chosen is on the furthest outskirts of the Rojenteem’s Empire, and is neighboring a hostile force, the Gleeten Empire, increasing chances of being invaded. The area you have chosen has been neglected by the Rojenteem’s Empire army and standing quests, decreasing Law and Order.
The difficulty rank for starting in that area is rated as A.
“And?”
And?
“You forgot to tell me what the reward level is!”
I did not forget. I am not allowed to inform you unless you specifically ask for that infor--I detest you more and more. You’ve obviously done your research. Why are you constantly antagonizing your assistance AI when your sources would have certainty instructed you to do otherwise?"
“Because, it’s more fun this way! Besides, anything you would have voluntarily informed me of I would have already been aware of."
How arrogant of you. You will die a painful and quick death.
“We’ll see about that. But why would you hide secret functions all over the system like that?”
Null rewards curiosity. Do you want to wager regarding how quickly you shall meet death?
“...I’m listening."
If you die within the first three days of starting the game, then I shall win.
“What do I get if I win?”
Pride.
“If I lose?”
Arrogance.
“Can’t I just stay in town for the first three days?”
If you so wish, though your pride probably won’t allow you to.
“Sounds oddly suspicious, but sure, I’ll play along.
Such is the price of your pride.
Death shall be your closest friend, and Darkness your mistress.
Before L could raise an eyebrow the teleportation process had completed. His body vanished, and the pitch darkness which surrounded him was left behind as he was hurled into the distant view. It endlessly stretched, and an infinity away, was a dot of light. A half breath and he crashed into it, and then through it.
His mind revolted against the magnificent force. He felt his brain lean two inches to the left, and his lungs and kidneys trade occupations for a few short lived moment. They switched back once they realized that the other's job was not as elementary as it seemed.
He spit a mouthful of blood before attempting to take in his surroundings. The sun was a dozen miles too close, it's obnoxious light sizzling his eyes. From endless plain darkness to an endlessly plain sky, save for the also endlessly long clouds below it, L could see the pattern here. Damn lazy developers.
He hovered, breathing heavily. The world still spun around him, the nausea of a new world system taking its toll on him. His limbs felt contorted and foreign.
“Oh, I’m so out of shape. Hehe”
Ew. Bad Pun. Brain and Body Scans have been completed, granting you the following stat bon-
“So not so! Skip tutorial. Just throw me into the village already,” L drawled.
Very well. We wish you the best of luck. Since you are quite eager to start, we shall not uphold you any longer <3.
L let a grimace escape his lips, feeling slightly uncomfortable.
He wouldn-
And with a whiff, he plummeted so quickly that his skin did not catch the memo and lagged a for a few seconds above him. The sun's scorching heat vanished in a mouthful of high moving wind. His breath caught short as L flayed around, panicking at the clouds increasing proximity.
“W-w-w-what the actual living-”
Uncle Wink [https://www.royalroadcdn.com/public/smilies/wink.png]?
“W-w-w-what?”
Say Uncle.
L fumbled for the right words. Any words. Speaking had let the last of his precious oxygen molcules escape his lungs. He flayed his limbs around, trying to claw at some sense.
His body vanished into the thick clouds. They, unfortunately, did not slow down his exponentially increasing descent towards the ground. Short moments later, L was thrown from the cover of the clouds, giving him a short sight of a ludicrously large world. The land spun and danced around itself, creating mountains upon mountains, rivers, gigantic holes, and impossibly large towers sticking out of the mud. It L would have loved to take a closer look upon the intriguing geography, through him falling at unfathomable speed towards that very intriguing geography distracted him from doing so.
“H-h-how are you able to do this?!” L screamed,
You did give me permission to contact the main AI, and upon a short discussion, it had agreed to grant you your wish, as you have requested of it: "The most horrid, quick death possible." The main AI has determined it would not impact the world, and thus found it appropriate.
What would have happened if I didn't tell him to throw me at the village?
I would have still dropped you, though you did make it funny.
"Fine! I’m so sorry! I really didn’t mean to” L cried, tears in his eyes.
L could have sworn he heard the system cranking, analyzing its next choice of words.
Good, now say unc-
“Sorry what?! I can’t hear you! It might have to do something with the high-velocity wind crushing me!”
What? That should not be the case. I am speaking directly in your min--oh fuck you.
L crumpled into a fit laughter, holding his stomach as he attempted to release air that simply did not exist in his lungs.
Moments before his body was squished into a glub of liquidy body fluids, a short notification appeared on his screen, informing him that his wisdom had decreased by 1.
You have died.
Because of your race’s qualities, the death penalty will be higher than normal.
Because of your extremely low level, the penalty for your death will be reduced:
Total Skill Proficiency Loss will be reduced from 25% to 0%.
Permanent Stat Debuff will be reduced from 5% to 2.5%
Lockout time has been reduced from 24 hours to 12 hours.
Because of you have lost a wager with your Helper AI, you will gain the Character Trait:
Arrogance
Arrogance will increase growth by 5%, stats by 5%, and quest rewards gained by 10%.
Your Death Penalty, however, is now one rank higher, moving from Extremely High, to MAX.
Permanent Stat Debuff will be 7.5%
