The World continues on

A little more than a week after the incident.

Shinsou woke up to a knock on the door. He stretched about to lay back down before he heard his caregivers voice. “What did Shinsou do now!?”

He heard heavy footsteps as his door was slammed open. His caretaker was standing in the frame. The man was of stocky build, His jet black hair splattered with shades of gray. His arms were crossed, light bouncing off his arms and momentarily blinding the boy/ He stepped out of the way on his 5 legs, although he nearly tripped on his way. The man had always been clumsy, he had lost a leg sometimes in the past, the way he did had become a conspiracy in the orphanage.

“The police want to speak to you, try to not waste their time.” He said as he shot Shinsou a glare. The man walked away, Shinsou guessed that the man hadn’t been happy about his sudden lack of tutelage. After UA shut down most of the hero students had been picked up by a new school, but Shinsou hadn’t been offered, not that he’d want to be under the HPSC.

Both officers stepped in, one had golden hair, little sparkles showing. His smile was blinding. The other man was much more dull by comparison, A balding head of gray hair, and some stubble on his chin.

“Yes hello, we would like to talk to you about an investigation involving one Izuku Midoriya. We heard you were close, our condolences.” The officer had eyes full of pity. Shinsou hated that look more than the hatred he was so used to. Almost everyone had turned him away once they knew his quirk, or tried to use him because of it. But Izuku had been the only one to see him as just another person. Someone like him. And as crazy as the boy was, Izuku knew that he could never kill an innocent person, especially not pro heroes.

“Can you tell us how you met the boy?”

“We met at school, we were in the same class.”

“How did the boy act in school?’

“He was the nicest kid I had ever met, Completely dedicated to being a hero.”

The officer wrote something down in a notepad.

“I heard from other students he could act.. Creepy, muttering under his breath a lot.”

Shinsou kept a straight face, not wanting to give away any emotion, the officers didn’t need to know how upset that made him. “He tended to think out loud, especially when something got him excited, it was like word soup, but you could understand it if you tried. He mostly was geeking about the teachers”

The officer wrote that down. “Did he happen to have a close relationship with these teachers?”

Shinsou thought on how to respond, not wanting to incriminate his friend. “He was Nezu’s personal teacher, but besides that I don’t remember him talking to them much.”

The golden officer kneeled “ We heard you had interned with Eraserhe… Aizawa Shouta. Your homeroom teacher, do you have any idea why he would disappear like this?

That was another thing that didn’t add up to Shinsou, if this had truly just been what it seemed, why would his teacher run away.. And why would another one of his teachers fight until his death in the school. It just didn’t add up to him. “I have no idea.”

The officers nodded, looking at one another before looking back at him. “That’ll be all, thank you for your time.”

The officers walked out, leaving Shinsou alone on his bunk bed. Every person was supposed to have a bunkmate, but no one wanted to bunk with the villain kid. Shinsou stood up stretching, his body sore from the damn gremlins training regiment. He sighed at the memory of the boy. You better be alive Izuku, I still haven’t thanked you for everything

His caretaker stepped back. Eyeing the boy up. “I’m sure you remember our deal boy. Unless you can get into another hero school this week. Well, Legally you can be considered an adult. Shinsou rolled his eyes at the reminder, he didn’t plan to stay here much longer anyways. And the old man knew no hero school would accept him in time. Y’see near the beginning of quirks, kids were being abandoned in mass if they showed signs of a quirk. So to mitigate the strain this caused on orphanages, anyone with a quirk could legally be considered their own guardian once they hit 13. And thus they were able to clear up orphanages, this law had sadly made it to the modern day, meaning that Shinsou could be kicked out without warning. The old man had only promised to keep him if he made it into UA. His face when he got the acceptance letter had been priceless.

Shinsou reminisced about the day as he packed his bag, ready to head out into the darkness of night. He had no destination in mind, no real plan. But he was gonna be damned if he and that gremlin didn’t become heroes together, after all, Misery likes company. Shinsou double checked he had everything, before jumping out into the streets.

Shinsou walked the quiet streets, Receiving the occasional look as he continued. Moving almost aimlessly, he thought of a way to find Izuku, he stared at his phone, Looking at his contacts.

He put his phone back into his pocket. First things first, he’d need to find a place to sleep.

Meanwhile at Mighty High.

Bakugou woke up in a cold sweat. Checking the clock he saw it was only 3 am.

He picked up his keycard, and held it up to the touchpad next to the door, unlocking it as he swiftly exited, the door closing behind him. He walked down the hallway, passing the camera that was in every dorm hallway. The camera followed him as he went into the main lounge. Pulling out a kettle as he began to heat up some tea. He stretched as he waited. He wasn’t allowed outside the dorm until an hour before classes, but that wouldn’t stop him from getting some morning training in. He began to jog around the lounge, sweat began to trickle down as he heard the screech of the kettle. Turning off the flame he poured himself some, Enjoying the warmth of the drink.

He began his morning training regiment as other students began to wake up. He was greeted with Metal Face and Kirishima first. He ignored them as they greeted him.

The classes had been merged due to the drop in student count. They had said that the other students had simply refused to join, but Bakugou could tell they were full of shit. There was no way that the troll doll that had worked so hard with Deku to become a hero would simply give up. Even if the nerd had been framed for murder. Katsuki was certain of that fact, the nerd may have changed since middle school, but he hadn’t turned into a killer, especially not a hero killer. The commission asshats who were watching them were up to something, besides their shit teaching. But he just didn’t know what yet. But he was gonna find out. Whilst he didn’t like the idea of the nerd becoming a hero, the mere idea brought a sinking feeling to his chest. He had to admit, even begrudgingly, that the nerd had beaten him fair and square. And he was gonna be the one to beat the nerd, not some damn conspiracy.

Everyone finished walking into the dorm, all 25 students. Bakugou had already noticed the complete lack of mutation quirks left, and he had figured the troll doll had been denied on similar pretenses. Although he had to wonder where Icyhot had gone. He had apparently been found a week after the incident involving Endeavor. But he still hadn’t shown up here.

As he was thinking about that their ‘caretaker’ walked in. A thin man who always wore a suit, he had silver hair, a scar lining the edges of his mouth. His eyes shone a bright orange. “Alright students line up, we will be heading out to first class in 4 minutes. After they had lined up in alphabetical order (as they had been demanded to do several times.) They walked out into the courtyard. The sun beating down onto the stone ground. The entire thing being surrounded by electrified walls. They were walking down to the other set of buildings, a cafeteria was the first area they walked through. All grabbing their food as they passed the counter, each meal being specialized for each student, today he got Mapu Tofu. They carried them to their homeroom. Run by The number one hero himself. Hawks. Although the man was only ever there about once or twice a week, usually taken over by a substitute. Which was why he was surprised to see him standing in front of the class, that’d be the third time in a row. Although their usual substitute, a blind man in a ugly purple suit was standing next to him.

“Welcome class, I won’t be able to stay long, but I do have something to tell you all. You are supposed to be the next generation of heroes, the best of the best. So don’t take this lightly, the commission is giving you all a chance to have the best edge possible when hero exams happen in a few short months. That is why you will be here all summer vacation, training and learning all you can. This has already been cleared with all your parents.”

The class was filled with confused murmuring, not that this bothered Katsuki at all, it gave him more time to learn all he could. Even if he couldn’t sneak out of his dorms to investigate as much as he wanted. “And to be extra sure that you all are doing your utmost to train, we will be taking your devices. The class got into an uproar “How can we contact our family then!” yelled out a worried Sparkles as feathers grabbed all their phones. “Oh that reminds me, Aoyama the principal would like to see you.” the boy grew pale at that.

With that Hawks left the classroom, dragging a petrified Sparkles with him.

Meanwhile in a facility not too far from Mighty High, right after the UA incident.

Snipe woke up in a cell, his head hurting like hell. He attempted to stand only to feel his arms bound to the chair he was in. He looked at his surroundings, the walls seemed bland. His door was made entirely of glass, although he assumed it was quirk enhanced glass. The HPSC loved to use the glass from someone who was now dead. Her quirk allowed her to make any item as strong as steel, and she had sold plenty of this steel glass back in her time. However it was now mostly owned by the HPSC. and being reproduced somehow.

An older woman walked in, someone he recognized as his former trainer, her hair may have grayed, and she now walked with the help of a cane. But he could recognize those eyes anywhere, they seemed to be appraising him, their gold gaze bearing down on him, she was flanked by 2 guards, their guns pointed at the man. “Long time no see Null. I’m glad my best student didn't fail my expectations, although you seem to be more rusty than you used to be.”

He still wasn’t sure why they hadn’t killed him yet. He hadn’t expected to get the same treatment as his sister. “Oh we don’t plan for you to rot in Tartarus dear. In fact I want you to help me train a brand new member to my division, seeing as how I’m not as agile as I used to be, and well.. My other pupils are busy.”

“AND WHY WOULD I EVER DO THAT?!”

“Oh come on ru ru, you were going to teach this one anyways if it wasn’t for what happened.”

This caught his attention. Did they kidnap one of his students.. Who would they..

“You see Endeavors boy had seen a bit too much, and instead of killing him as ordered, Kei had deemed it necessary to bring the brat here, and as you know I’m not one for wasting a perfectly good resource, but the boy has been unresponsive so far, we hope seeing a familiar face.. Well, person would help with that, and of course if you don’t want to train him I could always go with plan A.”

Snipe fumed, she had the gall to threaten one of his students.. But he knew what he’d have to do.

“Fine I’ll help train him..”

“Perfect! You’ll handle the physical training, and boring stuff like hero law, whilst I focus on my specialty.” her grin widened as she said that. I’m sorry you ever got involved in this Todoroki, I promise I’ll get you out.

“We will start now then, guards take him to the boys room, make sure to not let him out of your sight for even a second, he was trained here after all.” they untied him, pushing him ahead as he was led throughout the all too familiar halls. He had promised himself he’d never enter these halls again, but now here he was, subjecting another child to this horrid place.

They made it to his door, it opened as the boy in question laid in bed, staring into the ceiling.

“Howdy partner” the boy looked over, his eyes as red as his hair. “Snipe?”

“That’s right, but here you can call me Rujiki”
