Deeper Into the Abyss

Deeper Into the Abyss

Izuku and the man arrived at the Net Cafe they claimed as their home. Before the man could even open the door a figure rushed out, a kid who seemed a few years younger than Izuku.

“Takashi! You look dead, are you bleeding! Why aren’t you at the hospital?” He looked over all the man’s injuries. The boy then saw Izuku standing behind the man, eying up his blades as he shoved himself between the two “If you did this I swear I w..” the man just elbowed the boy “He saved me Hiyata, and I told him not to take me to the doctor, it’s not that serious.”

The boy turned back around, stomping his foot “Look at you, You look like you got hit by a train.”

Izuku decided to pipe in “He had wandered into the Exclusion zone, he seemed to have zoned out. I jumped in when a Nomu jumped out of nowhere, We got away due to luck.” Izuku lied as easily as he breathed, a trait he had learned quickly in his new profession.

The boy looked back and forth “A NOMU? They had said that they were all gone.” he had gotten quiet at that. Good going Izuku, of course he’d have trauma about the Nomu, this area had been right at the edge of the attack “Really the thing had been half dead already, your brother had just been surprised is all.”

The man, Takashi, looked at him whilst comforting the boy, who had begun to hyperventilate. “ We aren’t siblings.. We just work together..”

He had completely misread the situation. Izuku pulled out the rat totem, fidgeting with it. This caught both of the boy’s attention, who stared at him. The younger one was the first to respond “you, you had also lost someone that night?” Izuku nodded, not trusting himself to speak just yet. The boy fumbled under his shirt, pulling out a necklace, with a totem of two people, one man and one women, reaching out for a group hug, He elbowed the man, who sighed, pulling up his sleeve to show a bracelet of an odd looking individual, most of it obscured in smoke. “Yea an old lady gave me this when I came back, we had been… visiting that night, He didn’t make it.” the boy wiped his tears away “I had lost both my parents when…” he took a deep breath as the older man suggested “ one had crashed into our building, I was rescued hours later, I was lucky enough to not have been crushed.”

They began sharing stories, Izuku had offered to patch up the man, and after hesitantly accepting, they all continued, Izuku felt normal for the first time in months. This, this felt good.

The Yumouto Onseji Complex, outside Tokyo

Hawks hovered over the compound, a rather innocuous place, an old Buddhist temple complex from the pre quirk era, abandoned during the worst conflicts back when quirks first became more commonplace.. situated at the edge of the mountainside. The lush forests and green hills made the place beautiful, he could understand why Buddhist had first set up here. peace and tranquility huh, rather ironic. He eyed up the scrambling villains below. He breathed in, unleashing all the feathers he could without losing flight. They flew through the crowds below as he directed them, bodies hit the floors in droves. Landing he busted open the wooden doors, his feathers swarming in, clearing the room in seconds. He immediately recognized his surroundings from the schematics, clearing the rug he opened the hatch, landing with a metallic thud, he sent feathers out in every direction, leaving one at the ladder to alert him. He turned on his mic “30.. No 37 hostiles, neutralizing now. Still no sign of the targets.”

“Roger that, Keep heading down.

He began running down the corridors, keeping a swarm of feathers ahead of him, he felt his feather be disturbed by someone entering the entrance behind him.

“You sent support. I told you I wanted to do this alone.”

“It’s not that we Don’t trust you Hawks, I hope you understand.”

Hawks huffed “Sure, just don’t blame me if they can’t keep up.”

Hawks sped through the corridors, meeting less and less resistance as he headed deeper into the facility. A fact he didn’t fail to notice. Now flying down the slim corridors, flying towards the bottom of this facility. He ended up heading down a steep ladder, landing when he saw a door bolted shut, seemingly reinforced. With a warp quirk under their disposal, they figured that the most likely spot would be a fully sealed room. “I found the door, preparing a charge.” he slowly took out the explosives from his bag, slung on his shoulder.

“Roger that, I’m sending a backup team now.” He planted it before flying to the top, detonator in hand . He heard a bang, accompanied by a crash of metal as he hit the button. He pulled out his blades, swooping down and charging into the space, he was met with a singular room. A couch sat in the middle, dusty gaming consoles sat near the T.V. there was a toilet and bed off to the side. It seemed more like a prison than the final hideout for the most dangerous man in Japan. But there was one thing missing from the room, and that was the man himself. “It’s empty”

All for One awoke to the sound of commotion outside. Stretching in his chair he heard the all too familiar sound of his heart monitor. Taking a big breath he activated an echolocation quirk, sending out a high frequency screech too high for the human ear to hear. Returning to him he saw several of his men dead, and armed men entering his facility, alongside a single hero. He smiled as he recognized the Shape of the hero, heading straight to the holding cell at the bottom floor. “Ah a little birdie has come to play.” Looking once more he saw the doctor hiding in his lab. He’d have to be careful then, he still needed the old coward after all. .He began to stand up as he heard the Armed men approach his door, doing one final stretch he reached for his strength enhancing quirks, compiling them together whilst calculating the best spot. Ah there, right in the corner, it’ll maximize damage whilst leaving the lab intact, unfortunately he can’t hit the hero at the same time, but he doubted the thing would be much of a threat. Taking a deep breath he readied his smash, mimicking his old rival's pose.

Static filled his ears “T-Zhht U-Zhht -W!’

“Repeat that, I’m getting a lot of interference”

“Al-Zhht One Se-Zhht -loor”

Hawks heard gunshots, then he felt the floor shake violently under him, losing connection to several of his feathers as a sickeningly loud boom filled his ears. He covered his head as the ceiling cracked, bits of debris falling around him. As the world stilled he rushed out, Flying up the ladder, He felt the unmistakable feeling of wind, surrounded by rubble he collected what little of his outlying feathers were left.

His radio sparked back to life “Hawks we read a large explosion in the area, are you ok?”

“I’m Ok, but it seems your team didn’t make it, they damn near took out the whole facility.”

Flying further up he noticed a few sections still intact.

“Ok shit.. Look for any intact buildings, if the doctor is there he would’ve wanted to keep him alive.”

He read between the lines “So move onto plan B then?”

“Yes, abandon the main objective for now, it seems our data on his state wasn’t accurate.”

He flew into the intact structure, slamming through the door, entering what looked like a mad scientist laboratory. Blood covered operating tables, brains in jars, and the smell of death filled the place. He sent out feathers, detecting the doctor cowering under one of the tables, he kicked it over, seeing a shriveled up old man, barely reaching 5 feet tall. yanking the doctor up by his coat who was bawling his eyes out.. ”Don’t kill me!” the doctor struggled in his arms,

“Don’t resist and I won’t have to get my hands dirty.”

The doctor quieted down, hawks put the man under his arm, about to fly away when he heard someone enter the building behind him. He sent feathers flying out like daggers, planning to cut down whoever entered. But he felt all of them burn into ash as the figure at the door lit up in flames. “So this is what’s considered a number one hero nowadays, you’re barely older than he was when I killed his Mentor. Shame that she had managed to pass on the quirk just in time, although I guess the same can be said now. ” Hawks pulled out a feathery blade, prepared for a fight. Eying the area he saw that the man was blocking his only exit. He needed to think of something: “What are you talking about?”

The man grinned. “Oh they didn’t tell you. Despite you being their little star pet.”

Hawks tensed as the man took a step forward. “Do you even know why they want the doctor, because it isn’t to put him away. I know that much.”

The man took another step forward. Hawks had remembered how much they had stressed that the doctor had to be captured alive. He had found it odd at the time but he knew better than to ask. “Then why don’t you enlighten me.”

The man held up a hand, Hawks tensed ready to dodge. “That’s not how the game works. But tell you what, you put the doctor down and I’ll let you walk out with your wings attached.

This narrative has been purloined without the author's approval. Report any appearances on Amazon.

Hawks eyed the room Just one more. “How about you come and take him from me then?”

The man sighed, taking one more crucial step forward standing mere feet from Hawks. “So we have to do this the hard way, And here I was hoping We’d get to talk.” But Hawks had already begun his move, flying at top speed he sped around the edge of the lab, sending any feathers he could spare straight towards the man, he felt them burn up but it gave him enough time to get past the man flying out of the doors and speeding out of the facility. He was almost out when he felt the wind pressure change, he dived down as the forest in front of him exploded into shrapnel. He soared down the mountainside, making sure the objective was secure under his arms, the man seemingly passed out during their escape. He called in “The package is secured, heading to base now.”

AFO watched as the hero flew away with the doctor, his body burning he deactivated his quirks, only keeping the ones he needed to maintain himself running. Very well then, You leave me no choice, I can’t play the long game with you anymore. He pulled out a phone, hitting the emergency contact button. Kurogiri picked up. “Kurogiri, take me to the storage.” He felt the portal open under him, as he landed in the middle of hundreds, maybe thousands of stasis tanks, all filled with Nomu’s. All together their skin tones made the room seem as if it were a rainbow. Not enough to take out this wretched world, but it’ll be enough to do what I need. It was such a shame, he had liked how easy the current society had been to manipulate, but he was almost out of time, and out of options. He’d just have to tie up some loose strings first.

Mighty High

It was perfectly normal to stalk your friend… at least that’s what Kirishima told himself as he slowly followed Bakugou, who had snuck out of the cafeteria. This had become a daily occurrence with Bakugou.

And he dodged their questions every time they asked. So Kirishima had come up with the plan to sneak after him. Just to see what he could possibly be up to. And he knew no one would bring it up, but there had been talks of a traitor, and they were beginning to suspect Bakugou. But Kirishima knew that wasn’t possible, sure he was loud, and short tempered, but there was one thing Kirishima knew, and it was that Bakugou wanted to be a hero more than anything.

He watched as Bakugou walked down the halls, his hands in his pockets. He followed him for about 10 minutes, as the boy went in what felt like circles before it started to feel a little silly. Of course Bakugou wouldn’t be doing anything nefarious; he should probably stop this. Right as he was about to head back to the cafeteria Bakugou ducked into the staff room as a teacher walked out, the teacher on their phone, not noticing a thing. Kirishima snuck up to the staff room, peeking in to see Bakugou opening a safe, looking through the papers before heading to the copier, printing out a copy of what he wanted before putting everything back in, turning to the door. Kirishima backed up, hiding around the corner, waiting until he heard the footsteps leave before taking a breath. You wouldn’t betray us, right Bakubro?

Katsuki closed the door behind him, he sat down on his desk, reading over the paper again.

He had been stalking that area for ages, but there had always been someone in the staff room, or there was no way to get in without alerting the whole area. But today he had gotten lucky, and the laziest teacher on staff forgot to check if anyone was nearby before swinging the door wide open, and now he finally got what he’d needed. He had of course scouted the room whilst it had been empty, and noticed a safe, worse came to worse he had been ready to blow his way in, and book it out of the school before anyone noticed, but the damn extras had left the code on the safe, making it an easy getaway.

What to do if met with Midoriya Izuku

If anyone mentions meeting Midoriya, or you see him on school grounds, immediately contact commission HQ at this number (xxx-xxxx-xxxx) do not listen to anything he says or anything said by someone who had gotten into contact with him. Detain him if possible and await pickup by personal. Anyone who had come into contact with him will be held for psych eval and questioning.

Danger level 1

“Fuck” he had known something had to have happened, but it’s clear that the nerd had seen or heard something he shouldn’t have, and the commission now wanted him gone. Bakugou thought about it, he had known that he had gone with the rat for internships.. It all made sense now, of course the entire thing had to have been made up, the commission had wanted the rat gone, and the nerd had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Although that line about the burns rang alarm bells in his brain. It had been said that Endeavor died to Stain, but the exact location had never been disclosed, but if that’s not what happened, then Izuku had to have been there.

What to do if a student mentions contact with former heroes Eraserhead 3, Midnight 3, Thirteen 5, Present Mic 4 , Lunch Rush 2, Cementoss 5, Snipe 4, Ectoplasm 5, Power Loader 4, Recovery Girl 1. Vlad King 3, or Ms.Joke 3.

Each Hero is dangerous, make sure they are not on school grounds, then isolate students in either a staff room or any other secure location. Call HPSC and contact local heroes for a sweep. Keep students away at all costs.

He noticed how they never wanted them to ever talk to anyone involved in the ‘plot’ Bakugou had a few guesses as to why. He didn’t fail to notice how Snipe and Vlad King were crossed out. He knew Snipe had gotten captured, but he hadn’t heard anything about Vlad King.. He didn’t know if he wanted the answer as to why.

He was curious on what the danger levels had meant though, he looked through the papers finding what he was looking for.

Danger levels 1 Not a severe threat to any quirked individual. Usually level for quirkless and those with impairments.

Danger level 2 Easy to counter with knowledge of quirk, low risk of bodily harm

Danger level 3 Usually has drawbacks or a weakened quirk, but has moderate risk of bodily harm

Danger level 4 hard to contain and can cause severe bodily harm, caution is advised.

Danger level 5 Impossible to contain without quirk suppressants, Can cause severe bodily harm or death easily, beware at all costs.

Bakugou flipped through the papers, trying to find anything else of use. Before he heard a knock on the door. He ignored it, but the knocks got louder. “Bakubro, we gotta talk.”

He sighed “Not now shitty hair”

But Kirishima pushed “It’s about what you were doing during lunch.”

Bakugou groaned, he knew that shitty hair wouldn’t leave it alone, not with that tone. He put the papers away before opening the door.

Kirishima walked in, shutting the door behind him. He looked around Bakugou’s room, looking for something.

“Where are the papers?”

Bakugou could feel the sweat begin, its sweet scent filling his nose “What papers?”

“Look bro, I came to you first because I don’t believe you are the traitor, so I need to know why you were taking papers out of the teachers lounge.”

Bakugou backed up “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Kirishima took a step forward “Please don’t lie to me, We have all been worrying about you, getting distant, and now I find you sneaking into the teacher’s lounge, How do you think this looks to me?”

Bakugou took a step forward. “You wouldn’t understand.”

Kirishima pleaded “Then help me understand, I’m worried about you and I don’t want to go to the teachers..” Bakugou snapped “you can’t!”

“Why not!”

Bakugou calmed himself down, Forcing himself to take a step back. “Do you really think the nerd could’ve done it? That our teacher’s would’ve done it?”

Kirishima froze, seemingly processing what he was saying. “You mean Midoriya? I didn’t really know him that well, I can’t really say.”

Bakugou growled out “Well I did, and the nerd wanted nothing more than to be a hero, you saw that! He would’ve worked himself to death to reach that goal, he was too damn nice for his own good.” that last part was uttered out in a low tone.

Kirishima moved forward, putting a hand on his shoulder “So what do you think happened then?”

Bakugou moved away to his desk, pulling out the papers “I don’t know, but It was something big.”

He began handing papers over to Kirishima, motioning for him to read them.

“What.. is all this?”

"That's what I am figuring out, All I know is, we can't trust the staff, or the Commission."
