Hawks could see the Commissions HQ now in sight. And the Hundreds of people standing outside it. Chanting “Show Us Hawks!”
“Release the Murderer!”
“Down with the Commission”
“Fuck Heroes!”
Two heroes guarded the entrance to the HQ, trying to calm the angry crowds, who were beginning to throw various objects at the heroes.
The news was flooding, it nearly causing an information overload,
Hosu Police chief dead after allegations of corruption come out
Found to have been taking bribes from criminal syndicates and the commission, he has been found dead in his office, investigations are ongoing.
Several families of missing persons call for a reopening of their cases.
These families claim their cases were dropped too soon due to their members' quirk status; an online petition for these cases to be reopened has already reached 1 million signatures.
#1 spot cursed?
Theories have been spreading online of the #1 hero spot being cursed, others claim that All Might was an exception, the spot being too corruptible. Making the hero too much of a target. Several call for a rework to the system, or for it to be retired.
Hero support waning?
There’s been calls for the role of security to fall under government control once again, as support for the hero system falls to historic lows.
One of Japan's most wanted was found, hospitalized after attack.
Rumors of a man similar toShigaraki Tomura being rushed into the critical care section, surrounded by police officers, at a Hosu Emergency clinic.
He landed on top of the building, entering through a window. Being met with the enraged face of his handler. “You’ve done it now!”
Hawks for his part was confused “What happened?”
She pulled out her phone, turning it to the news, showing a video that made Hawk’s blood run cold “You just got caught on camera killing several police officers, with a Nomu no less, I thought we had been clear, check everywhere for witnesses! Not to mention that you clearly went behind our backs!”
Hawks didn’t flinch, his face adopting a blank expression. “I was merely gonna question the kid, see what he knew”
He watched as she threw her hands into the air “Why did it matter! If you had killed him as we had asked, it would’ve been fine.”
Hawks palmed the marble in his pocket, about to bring it out before stopping himself, relaxing his arms. “I was merely making sure he hadn’t shared the information with anyone.” he huffed out, sounding annoyed.
She sighed “You can’t stay here, in about 2 hours you’re gonna be labeled a traitor, and officially we are gonna be hunting you.”
He caught her phrasing “Officially?” He tried his best to sound intrigued.
She smirked “Unofficially you’re gonna operate as a villain agent, doing things that we couldn’t before. As far as the public will be aware, you’re merely a bad actor, although I will most likely be fired as well, most likely moved to a remote position under a different name.”
A villain? No No No.. I can’t be a villain.
“And if I refuse your little idea?”
Her smile faded. “Then you will be hunted, and killed.”
She noticed him forming a blade, the red feather’s shining, reflecting in the window. “Even if you kill me, There are plenty of assassins, villains and heroes willing to put you down, and well. We know your every weakness. So why don’t you be a good little canary, drop the ego, and do your job.”
There was silence, the tension palpable. Hawks eying the crowd outside, calling for his imprisonment.
Hawks relaxed his hands. The blade deformed behind him. “You know best.”
Hawks took off, flying over the jeering crowds, several pointing to him. You want a villain, I’ll show you what a villain can do.
Shigaraki really wishes he couldn't feel his body right now. Barely able to understand the words of the officer talking to him, but he didn't need to hear his words to understand. Huh he didn’t have quirk suppressants… idiots. He did notice a bunch of tubes sticking out of him, seemingly moving liquids around.
Looking to the otherside, he saw a doctor checking his vitals, momentarily blinding him before writing something down. Saying something he couldn’t make out, his head still swimming, he felt like he was gonna… oh he WAS throwing up. He felt as if his insides had gone and fought an entire war over who could fuck him up the most, and.. He felt an emptiness. He felt warm, too warm. Grabbing the blanket he waited for it to collapse, but for the first time in his life he felt a sensation he hadn’t before, the feeling of something being in all his fingers, he stared at the offending sheet in disbelief. How dare it not disintegrate, who gave it the right. His head throbbed again as he muttered his first words. His voice sounding distant “Ha..yate”
The officer said something, before clearly seeing the confusion on his face, before giving a thumbs up.

Izuku was startled awake by a knock on the door, quickly getting up he grabbed a knife from the counter, staring at the door as the detective groggily began sitting up.
BANG- BANG
The door nearly shook from the force sent to the door. Izuku looked over to stain’s room, noticing it was empty, figured.
Knife in hand he walked closer to the door, ready to fight for his life if necessary
Hawks wouldn’t have knocked, he could’ve just slipped feathers under the door, killing them all in their sleep. Stain wouldn’t need to knock, he’d just barge in.
Maybe it's the heroes, the police?
He heard a familiar voice through the door “IZUKU IF YOU DON’T OPEN THE DOOR THIS INSTANT, I’M GONNA BLOW IT UP MYSELF”
Opening the door he saw Hatsume and Shinsou, hatsume glaring, arms full with random inventions, a stuffed backpack on her back. And Shinsou, who stared at him with a shocked expression.
“You look like shit” remarked Shinsou, a shit eating grin on his face.
“Why are you here, It’s not..”
But Hatsume had already shoved him, finger pointed at him “You can’t just talk big about becoming a hero, partnering with THE Hatsume industries, and then just to disappear like that!”
Shinsou slided past Hatsume into the hideout, staring around. Eyes locking on the now very confused look of the former detective. “Neat homeless shelter you got here.”
Izuku Pulled both of them into a hug, tears in his eyes. “Thank you.”
Shinsou awkwardly patted the boy on the back, whilst Hatsume returned the hug.
They all soaked in the moment, until Tsukachi awkwardly Coughed. “I don’t know what you kids are doing here, but I assume you’re friends of Midoriya’s.”
Shinsou eyed the man up “So who’s the homeless man Izuku?”
Izuku stifled a laugh as the man looked at the wild haired teen mumbling “Homeless? Do I really look that bad?”
He held out an arm, finally letting the two out of his death grip “This is Detective Tsukachi, who had saved my life last night.”
Hatsume chimed in "oh he was the one who saved you from the Nomu in the video, it was hard to see much with the shaky camera"
Izuku looked at her, his green eyes boring into her "video? What video?"
Shinsou turned over too "yea what video?"
She turned to him "the one I was watching on the train! were you paying attention at all!"
Shinsou seemed to take it in stride "we left at 2 am, I needed my beauty sleep" go
Izuku chimed in "so much for that"
Shinsou turned back around "why you.."
" Can I see the video?" Izuku interrupted as she passed over the phone
…
…
…
Izuku's face was bright red as it went over his rant.. embarrassment taking over as he realized people were gonna hear that. But he was able to pull himself back together enough to hear the last part 'Nomu kill, bring the kid to me alive'
He turned pale, he'd recognize that voice anywhere, after all, he heard it almost every time he went to sleep.
Why, why did he want him alive. After everyone he killed, why was Izuku, quirkless Izuku the exception
Why hadn't Nezu, or any of those officers gotten the same treatment, what about every other hit he had done for the commission, unless the commission wanted him alive but that was impossible, he had checked.
You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.
Why
He remembered hearing Nezu's last gurgle cries
Why?
He remembered watching those around him turn to mist, covered in their blood.
Why!
He hadn't realized he had begun to hyperventilate until the screen was taken out of his hands, he looked up to see shinsou holding the phone, staring at him in worry "breathe with me okay"
In and out, in and out. He breathed, as he came back to semi-ok.
"Thanks, just, a lot to take in is all."
They didn't seem to believe him entirely, but they didn't pry further.
"But look, they're starting to side with you, Midoriya."
He saw the headlines, some calling the whole video a hoax, others calling for the hero's arrest, it was rather heartwarming to see some people talking about their experiences, some even saying that they felt noticed for the first time.
Many more wondered about Nezu, most questioning the official story.
"You know what this means" Hatsume said, a grin on her face that just yelled of mischief.
"You've gotta go public, make an official video, I got the setup right here"
"Hatsume they'd just delete and video we release, I should know, I tried" but she waved him away "oh don't worry, they won't be able to delete this" She hurriedly him along, pushing him into the couch "hurry up, think of something whilst I Shindou sets this up" She pulled out her laptop, Shinsou seemingly used to this just started pulling out the camera equipment
He didn't know what to say.

Todorki flew through the obstacle course, taking out dummies in glaciers, sliding under the climbing wall. Before skating his way to victory,
Snipe walked up “Good job kid, That beat your previous record by 1 second.”
Todoroki nodded, walking back to the start of the obstacle course.
Snipe worried for Todoroki, while he seemed to be handing their.. Situation better nowadays, he still wouldn’t talk much.
“You should take a break, you’ve been going at it for 4 hours already”
But Shoto shrugged off the concerns “What kind of hero tires after 4 hours” the kid said, whilst clearly starting to suffer the effects of quirk fatigue. His breath visible, his arms starting to form crystals.
“You’re freezing over kid, There’s a difference between determination and suicidal stubborness, if you can’t move who can you save?”
Todoroki scowled at him going back to training in silence. The sun is starting to set.

Bakugou was almost done packing his bags. Burying the folders, he had made up his mind. Especially after the video of the nerd had surfaced, he had to find him, even if he knew he wouldn’t want his help. As he was sneaking out of his room, he was stopped by Kirishima.
“I already told you, I have to do this.”
The red haired boy didn’t seem surprised, his backpack stuffed to the brim as well.
“And you’re not coming,” he said, scowling.
“You aren’t going alone bakubro.”
His scowl deepened “What? You think I can’t handle myself”
“You’re going to find Midoriya right? Because of the second video. Well I want to help” the boy said in a hushed tone
“ Second video?, nevermind Just means I gotta get to the nerd faster.”
He mentally noted to look at that video later.
He began to move, hearing Kirishima start walking behind him “I told you, You gotta stay here! You got a chance to be a great hero, don’t squander it.”
Kirishima stands in his way Bakugou almost blew up on him, but clenched his hands.
“What kind of hero would I be? If I let my friend risk everything by himself, If I abandoned Midoriya again, just to save my own skin.”
Right at Bakugou was about to answer, the lights cut off, the hum of electricity becoming noticeably absent.
“What the Fuck?”
Before a crash was heard, followed by screams from the main lobby, Without thinking Bakugou and Kirishima rushed towards the sound, finding a scene that made Bakugou's blood run cold. A slim gray creature was on all fours, its face similar to that of a dog, its teeth covered in red as it stood over a body. He couldn't even tell who it was anymore.
Bakugou rushed forward charging right at the beast. Before getting side blinded by another one. As it launched into him at breakneck speeds.
Its silver body glistened, as it used its arms to traverse, its legs being the one to actually hit him.
Sending him straight into the couch, tipping it and him over. The wild one pounced at him, but Kirishima blocked its way, tossing it aside.
He stood up.
"Shitty hair, you take the mutt, I'll handle the speedster."
As if offended by the idea, the speedster rushed at Kirishima, only to be blown back by Bakugou.
He tried to push the advantage, launching himself towards the speedster, but it just dodged out of the way, kicking at his side. Pain shot through Bakugou, as it nearly took the breath put of him, but he managed to retaliate, grabbing the creature's foot and launching a series of big explosions, ripping the leg into shreds in the process.
He heard an impact to his left, but he couldn't look over as the creature screeched at him, charging once again, but he shot an explosion from his right hand at the last second, sweeping past the hit and hitting the creature in the back for the effort, sending it careening into the wall.
He took the second opportunity to check on Kirishima, who currently had the dog creature pinned, it's jaw on his hardened arm, whilst he was hitting it with the other.
When he turned back around the speedster was gone, he looked around, glancing up as it collided with his chest, knowing the wind out of him as he slammed into the ground, the creature on top of him. It dug a Claw into his shoulder, making him hiss in pain.
He blocked a hit to his head, launching the creature off of him. As he stood up he tried to raise both arms into a defensive posture only for his left arm to not cooperate, seemingly dislocated.
Bakugou, not particularly impressed by his arms insubordination, slammed it back into place. Raising both arms into a defensive posture as the creature came at him again. Only for him to grab its head last second, taking the blow to the chest, and launching a huge explosion, sending its limp body down, headless.
He looked over to see Kirishima standing over the limp mutt, his arm bloody, but overall seemingly fine.
Then he heard gunshots, followed by more screams.
Meanwhile at the HPSC HQ
Garaki was sitting in his room, well it was more of a cell, only unlockable from the outside, via an electronic lock., but the amenities weren't anything to scoff at. A nice bed, a wide-screen TV. His own personal bathroom and shower. And a Camera looking at him from every angle.
He could breathe easier though knowing AFO was dead, unable to get revenge on him. So why. Did his heart jump when the power went out? He sheepishly knocked on the door "Anyone? Let me out of here!"
He heard his guard mutter "power went out, stay in the room until its back on. Even if this was an attack, you'd be the safest one right now."
He heard metal hit metal behind him, sheepishly he swung around to see Kurogiri standing there.
Backing up he knocked on the door harder, speaking louder than he needed to "OH KUROGIRI, WHAT A WONDERFUL SURPRISE, YOU HERE TO FREE ME?"
he couldn't hide the little steak his voice did at the last part
Behind him he heard muffled profanities.before they began banging on the door.
Kurogiri for his part stared at him, before uttering in a barely audible tone "Slay the doctor, then the child."
He basically merged with the door, sliding down it as he pleaded "please no! I can still be of use I know so much abo.." but he was interrupted by a portal forming right where his neck used to be, blood pouring out of his neck as the head rolled behind Kurogiri, hitting his metallic foot.
Just then the auxiliary power in the hq would turn on, letting the guard open the door, he'd struggle to push it open, and before he could process the head staring right at him from across the room, he'd a loud boom would sound throughout the HQ, leaving no trace of him, nor anything on that entire side of the HQ.
Earlier
Snipe was walking back to his room, Todoroki had already been split off, unlike him, the boy didn’t have two escorts, one a pro hero, one who had been sent to capture him if he remembered correctly. And an armed guard, the armed guard standing several feet behind him, the hero right behind him. He looked out of the window, looking at the lights of the city, when he saw a strange shape flying in the distance, hovering over the power station. Nomu “Nomu!” But it was too late, it dived straight down, an explosion followed in its wake. When the lights went out one of his guards, Death Arms jumped “Stay right where you are!”
He watched through the window as a swarm of those Nomu appeared, seemingly swarming the city from the skies. “The city is under attack, Nomu are attacking the city.!” He began to move
Death Arms blocked his way, looking outside “You’re a prisoner here, leave that to the heroes”
He brings a hand to his ear “Come in” he waited a second before looking perplexed “This is Death Arms answer me!”
They cut communications too, but how? They’d have to..
Snipe pushed past the man heading back towards Todoroki, but he was stopped by the other guard aiming right at him. “Sorry Null, you’re not using this opportunity to escape. Keep Moving.”
“ I don’t give a hoot about escaping, lives are in danger here!” he turned back to the big man “Isn’t saving lives your job as a hero?”
The hero was just looking outside, staring into the streets. Snipe was getting pissed, but before he could Yell at them again, an explosion rocked the building,.. And everything went black as Snipe hit his head.
Hosu Emergency Hospital
Shigaraki woke up to the sound of several alarms, The lights flickering before turning off, but he could still hear the beeps of the machinery around him. He could hear Doctors and Nurses
BEEP
rushing around frantically. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion for him.
He slowly began to sit up, looking around to see the room now empty. The beeps of the machine were pounding on his head like a jackhammer, his eyes hurt to open, tears flowing freely.
BEEP
He got tired of the noise, grabbing onto the machine with all 5 fingers, waiting for the noise to stop
BEEP
BEEP
Why wasn’t it stopping.it should’ve disintegrated by now
The pain in his head spiked, doubling over a memory flashed, that of his former mentor’s standing over him, of him holding onto the man’s disintegrating neck for dear life, before it stopped.
BEEP
BEEP
BEEP
A nurse rushed in to see him there, staring at his hands in disbelief.
“Get the guard, He’s awake!” she screeched out
He looked up, seemingly making her jump.
Right
He began to rip off the wires attached to him. Standing up, nearly falling down under his own weight. Looking back up he saw 2 guards entering the room, the nurse already gone.
“Sit down boy, you’re only going to hurt yourself.”
But he couldn’t not before
“Where is he?”
The other guard seemed much more jumpy, pulling out a taser “HE SAID SIT THE FUCK DOWN!”
Shigaraki took an experimental step, this one felt much better, the constant pain in his head was slowly calming down.
“I need to see.”
Shigaraki didn’t get to finish as a Nomu crashed in between them, this one was huge, about twice the size of Shigaraki, the hole it left in the ceiling quite obvious. Its muscles were larger than his head, and the thing seemed built like a tank. The one guard panicked, launching the taser, sparks flying, reacting slowly, the creature merely pulled on the wire, dragging the man into arms reach, and sending him flying into the wall.
The other guard booked it. Leaving Shigaraki alone in the room with the hulking beast.
It slowly turned around, Shigaraki did his best to follow in turn, staying out of its immediate eyesite.
It's slow but strong, A bruiser
He looked back at the bloody pulp that used to the the other guard
If it catches me, I'm gonna become a pulp, Stealth mode activated.
The monster stared at the hospital bed he had been in, it's back to the door. He used that to his advantage, slipping out into the hallway.
The hallway was empty, not a soul seemingly left in this part of the building. He noticed the hallways had gates blocking the exit, a big sign saying Villains ward making it all too clear
He had been left to die.
He looked around, a gate blocking both ways, only a few rooms open to him.
He approached the closest, peeking into it, seeing an empty, windowless room
Trapped, Can’t climb out the way Bruiser came in, too high, and too dangerous…
He looked back at the gate that led to the main hall…
If only I could still disintegrate the gate, escape would be childsplay,, And I’m not strong enough to bust my way through.
He flashed back to a particularly frustrating part of a game he had played. “Illusionist’s war”
This section required the main character to escape a makeshift tomb, busting down a wall, but their only quirk was a minor illusionary quirk, making an afterimage of themselves up to 10 feet of their position, copying their movements. Whilst trapped with a strength quirk user who had gone berserk. He remembered dying over 30 times before finding the solution, using the afterimage to get the berserker to hit the weak wall, letting the player escape.
He might not be strong enough, but he knew who was..
Against his better judgment he crawled past his former room to the gate, sneaking a peek, seeing the creature standing over the destroyed bed, seemingly confused. Once he reached the gate he Screamed out
“I’m over here Stupid!”
No resets, no big deal
He tried to not think about what would happen if the gate held, or he mistimed this, instead getting his stance perfect, and peering straight at the door, his ears straining for any bit of noise. He heard the crunch of tile, as the creature flew out of the room, slamming through the wall, Shigaraki jumped, right under the beast, as if flew straight through the gate, and three more walls past it.
Damn cheat, Using its strength for mobility.
He stood up rushing out of the broken gate, feeling a sharp pain in his arm as he squeezed through the hole, running for his life. Keeping his ears peeled, he heard the sound of rubble hitting the ground, changing directions, he noticed a window, and without thinking, jumped.
The creature sailed right over his head as he fell, hitting the ground. Dust and tiny pieces of rubble covering him. He thanked RNG that he was only on the second floor.
He looked up, seeing someone he never thought he’d see again.
.
A cheap apartment
Dabi can’t believe he got stuck as a babysitter. The girl in question is currently sleeping in his bed, whilst he is lying on the couch. He was gonna kill that damn kid. He scrolled through his phone, blankly scrolling through video after video until he saw one titled ‘Jade/Luruni - the truth’
He turned it on
The boy on the screen clears his throat, looking nervous
“Hello, my name is Izuku Midoriya, otherwise known as Jade, or more commonly Luruni. And this is my side of the story.”
“Me, and my mentor, Nezu, were framed by Number One hero Hawks. Or it’s more correct to say we were framed by the Commission. Endeavor wasn’t killed by us, or even Stain, he was killed by his own son, who acted in desperation trying to save me when Endeavor attacked me.”
Dabi couldn’t believe his ears, Shoto had killed him? He couldn’t process it
He lifted his leg into frame, pulling the pant leg up to show the Burn scars.
He proceeded to tell everything, down to the most Minute detail. Crying several times during the whole thing.
He cleared his throat, clenching his fists as he uttered “One more thing, I have found that the Commission has been kidnapping hero hopefuls, training them to be obedient assassins, groomed to never question an order. Hawks, was one of these, and I have good reason to suspect one Todoroki Shoto is their newest addition to this program, called ‘Icarus’ “
Dabi nearly juimped up at that, he had to calm himself down, as he felt the heat try to escape.
“So I ask this of you all, after everything I have told you. Don’t give up on heroes. Don’t give up on your dreams. Let us change this system for the better, together.”
With that the video ends. This video already had millions of views.
“Damn kid, you really did it.”
The kid walked in, rubbing her eyes. “Who?”
He smiled “Just some idiot”
She frowned “Not nice”
He shrugged “Deal with it kid”
With that the power went out, although Dabi wasn’t surprised, it happened a lot, especially with all the reconstruction. Then the room was covered in a shadow, Turning towards the window he saw a creature crawl in, sniffing around. Dabi jumped in front of the kid, unleashing a burst of flames, he felt his scars burn as he used a bit more power than normal, the room filled in sickly blue light. When the flames cleared, the beast was gone. Dabi sighed, feeling his skin scream in pain, looking back to see the kid, Eri looking at him in worry. “You’re hurt’ she went to touch his arm, but He shrugged her “Nothing I’m not used to, hey, want to go visit Lurundi?”
Her face lit up at the mention of the kid, she nodded.
They exited the apartment, into the chaotic streets. He saw a hero losing a fight to one of the flying Nomu’s their bright blue jumpsuit and hair nearly blinding Dabi, but their quirk seemingly allowing themselves to stretch out their limbs, but they couldn’t seem to hurt the Creature, he wrapped his arms around the creatures 3 fold trying to pull it to the ground, but the creature began to Whip into a frenzy, flinging the hero into a wall before lifting them into the air, but before it could strike the killing blow, a series of bullets rang out, hitting the wings of the creature, making it fall to the ground. An Officer (a lady with golden hair) untangled the heroes arms as ywo people in normal clothes dragged the unconscious hero away. Running off before the beast could get up.
Dabi walked away, covering Eri's eyes as they moved. Turning the corner into another alley falling onto his ass after slamming right into something.
He looked up, seeing the hulking form of a Nomu, its beady eyes staring right down at him.
"Ah, how unexpected, to think one of the targets would walk right into my arms", the thing smiled in what seemed to be an imitation of a human grin, its long snout catching his attention, its head looking comically small for its body, it's round ears twitched as it flexed its hulking body.
"Now then boy, hand over the girl and I'll let you escape."
He stood up, backing away with Eri, straining all his senses to scan for any movement. "How about. No."
It cackled at that "I was hoping you'd say that."
The True Scale - 8 hours later
Nimosa stretched, sitting down for the final part of the flight. It was 10 hours into the flight, and It had been a normal flight for her, this was her 100th flight from Los Angeles to Tokyo after all.
She tuned the VHF left to the towers frequency “This is Sunbeater 25682 requesting permission to land, over”
…
She tried again “This is Sunbeater 25682 requesting permission to land, over”
She double checked she had the right frequency
“Do you read me tower?”
Maybe the radio is busted
Switching over to the second radio she tried again, getting no response, she went through every radio she had, none of them working.
She switched to long range, trying to contact any and every nearby ATC until one eventually picked up, that being the Gimhai international Airport. After getting the clearance to transfer, she turned on the intercon “Attention all passengers, we will be landing at Gimhai international Airport due to unforeseen circumstances.” she turned it off, sighing as she leaned back into her chair. Readying herself for the 2 hours of extra flight time. Raising altitude again. She did make sure to relay the lack of communication with any Japanese Airport, warning any nearby pilots as well.
The news quickly spread through the Aviation circle, everyone trying anything they could to contact the island, but it seemed it had gone dark.
The Korean authorities were alerted to this fact as well, and an investigation began.
.
But this wasn’t the first thing to notice, since automated communication systems between the Island’s satellites and the rest of the array had gone silent, being picked up by US officials first.
It took 2 hours to get a visual on one of the 10 missing satellites, only to see a debris field where it once stood. Alarms were raised, and an expedition to Japan was being set up.
It took a few days for the general public to notice the complete shutdown of Japan, as all flights had been canceled, and the island was quarantined, no Communication could be set up with those inside. Or atleast, that’s what they were told. Conspiracy theories ran wild from a quirk accident causing it, to Japan being a myth the entire time. Nobody knew what the hell was going on.
