Elina felt Daisy's wrist for a quiet moment, listening to the thumps of her heart. "You seem to be in good condition, so why are you speaking insanities?"
"It's not insane." Daisy wrinkled her snout. "I can make any mutagen I want, I think. That has to be worth something to someone, doesn't it?"
Elina set Daisy's hand down and sighed. "And I was so proud of how sane you seemed."
"You saw me do it before. They used to be mouse only." She rubbed lightly at her breasts. "But not anymore. I don't know how to show it more clearly than that."
Elina held up a hand to stop her, then closed her eyes to think. After a few moments, she opened them again. "You aren't lying to me. That much is clear." Elina looked Daisy over top to bottom, then back. "But what you're suggesting will make you an instant target, good and bad. You already were one of those." She reached to ruffle one of those large round ears. "You do know that, right?"
"I thought so, yes. But if I'm a source for mutagens..." She shrugged and folded her hands in her lap. "If I'm already a celebrity, I can't double that. What's the harm? If I'm making mutagens for the public, maybe they'll like me more?"
Elina shook her head with a smile. "You're still not seeing it. If a city wants you, they can have you, and you won't be allowed to go free. If any given military, and there are a number, decides you're an asset they need to have, they won't accept no as an answer. If they get their hands on you, they will hold onto you." Her smile faded entirely. "You're thinking too much like a person, and not enough like a tool."
"I am not a tool." She scowled at the idea.
"You'll become one very quickly." Elina snapped her fingers. "Just like that. As your friend, I'm telling you not to make a big noise about that. If people can become anything, you're too valuable."
Daisy sat back, crossing her arms. "What if I just keep it quiet?" She looked around the small room. "What about your research? I can give you whatever you need." Daisy leaned forward, ears perked in interest.
"And I do appreciate that." She tapped Daisy's nose gently. "Why I pay you what I do. As a test subject, you're very cooperative. Now, since you're so focused on this, why not try smaller? Instead of new species, change what they already are. You can experiment on Theo. He seems to be a willing test subject if it means he can latch onto you."
Daisy smiled gently at that. "He doesn't know how adorable he is." She chewed a lip in thought, but shook her head. "But he's not the first person I want to experiment on, actually."
Elina cocked a brow. "Who else? Your other boy toy doesn't respond to mutagens. Well, Cedric could drink the milk, just to no effect."
Daisy rubbed her hands together and leaned forward. "Actually? You. If you're okay with it." Daisy reached out slowly to touch Elina's knee, rubbing gently.
Elina recoiled, rising to her feet almost instantly. "Me?! I'm a human, through and through, and it's something of a point of pride that I've kept it that way." She looked at herself, then back at Daisy, clearly nervous. "You're sure about this?"
Daisy smiled softly as she nodded. "I want to make you feel better, and if that means I get to touch you while you're cute and furry, I'm all for it." She flashed a buck-toothed smile. "Besides, I can make human mutagens too, so I can undo it all when you want to go back."
"I... well..." Elina chewed her lip in thought. "If it's for research... and I could turn back..." She looked at her hands and flexed them. "I'd like to be younger, honestly. I'm already past my prime."
"You take that back." Daisy gently swatted at her. "I was older when I was human. You're still young." Daisy leaned closer. "Though I can make you younger. Not by much, though."
"Fine." She waved her hand. "How would we start this? What needs to happen?" She put her hands on her hips.
Daisy worked one breast free as she focused on youth, age, mid twenties. She took a slow breath, focusing on aiming her mutagen.

Daisy took Elina closer, nuzzling into her. "I know you're my employer, but I do like you. Is that alright?"
Elina nodded as she held onto the mouse. "I like you too. Now, how are you going to feed me these mutagens? Are you putting them in my food?"
Daisy smiled down at Elina. "You know better than that. If the mutagens get out of me, they stop being mutagens pretty fast. Attach, drink." She gave her breast one firm slap. "Go on. You know what to do."
"I'm a scientist, not a mutant." Elina frowned faintly. "But fine." She leaned closer and gave a lick across Daisy's breast. "It's sweet. Not as much as I was expecting, but it's certainly pleasant."
Daisy took a slow breath as she relaxed into her chair. The presence of another person, nosing at her, never seemed to fail to be pleasant. She wondered a moment if that was a brood mouse thing, to prime them to use their talents. "Go on." She rubbed gently at Elina's sides. "Your youth is waiting for you."

Elina rubbed her lips, then leaned forward to latch on, suckling slowly. It was an odd experience for the human woman, and it was clear she was still uncomfortable, but she had agreed to it. Though the drinks were slow and timid to start, as she relaxed into it, they grew more steady.
Daisy rubbed her hands along Elina's shoulders, down her sides, and to the base of her hips. Daisy smiled as she felt Elina relax into her, and Daisy softly sighed out in pleasure. As Elina drank, the mutagen flowed through her, and changes began to take root. The first effect was a simple one, though a stark difference.
Elina's skin began to grow clearer, fresher, younger. Her eyes brightened as her hair thickened. Daisy ruffled that thickened hair with an almost purring laugh. "My lovely little one, how do you feel?" She patted the young woman's back fondly.
Elina let her hand drop and turned in a small circle on Daisy's lap, her face a faint red. "You are... not unpleasant."
Daisy poked her gently. "Glad to hear it, but I meant how does you feel, as in your new, younger, body?"
Elina looked down at her hands and shook them, then touched at her chest and felt around her backside. "It feels the same, more or less. I'm lighter, my joints feel better, and I think this is closer to when I was at my prime." She flexed her fingers. "Thankfully, I wasn't old enough for this young to be a huge and massive difference."
Daisy gently rubbed her cheek against Elina's hair. "You smell good." She licked softly over her head. "There are plenty of other things we could change, too. I won't change anything unless you ask, but if you want to make any adjustments, I can manage that."
"Temptress." Elina slid to her feet, dismounting from Daisy. "That is powerful, but less powerful, than what you were offering before. You could be one hell of a beautician." She mused, finger at her chin. "I bet you could even color people's nails and give them the makeup they wanted permanently with some practice." Daisy blinked at that, then laughed warmly and grabbed Elina in a hug. "What?"
"Nothing. That's a new thought." She let her hands rub over Elina's hips as she enjoyed the closeness. "I knew asking you about it would lead to solid ideas." She stood up herself, allowing Elina to have some space. "Proves I can do more fine details. Which is pretty amazing." She had a silly idea and snickered as she focused on it.
— Mutagen: Cinnamon Skin
Elina watched Daisy a moment, but nothing happened visibly. "What are you thinking about? Something's going on up there."
Daisy licked over her snout. "I'd love to show you, but you might hate me. Just testing what I can set my mutagen to. I need a willing victim to actually test this out."
Elina looked Daisy over. "Something I wouldn't notice, hm? What are you up to?" She reached to brush some hair out of her eyes.
"Well, if you want to know..." She patted the side of a breast. "You can have a sip and we'll both see how well it worked."
Elina crossed her arms as she shook her head. "That doesn't seem fair. Though... alright." She stepped forward and Daisy lifted her top to give access. "What are you planning?" The only way to know seemed obvious. "Ugh, I need to know." She went in for a drink, just to jump, as if the taste had surprised her.
Daisy was shocked by the strong reaction, and almost thought something had gone wrong, until Elina went back to the nipple and suckled again. The human woman seemed to be enjoying herself, humming softly with the motions. "Good girl." She pet gently through Elina's hair and down her back. "And now we test." She leaned in and casually licked Elina's exposed neck, getting a strong hit of cinnamon.
Elina laughed and squirmed away. "That tickles! What are you doing?" She touched the wet patch on her neck. "That's good enough for you?"
"More than good enough." Daisy licked her lips with a satisfied grin. "You taste like cinnamon."
"What?" Elina touched the damp patch on her skin again, then brought it to her nose for a sniff. "I, wow." She backed a few rapid steps. "You made me taste like a spice?! It's not an awful smell, but still."
Daisy swayed her tail with the smug smile of success. "As you can see, I can do much smaller changes. Younger, older, smells. Just thinking about it is getting my brain in overdrive." She frowned with another thought. "And this is why brood mice resist mutagens. It'd be too much if I could change myself." She cupped at herself. "This could be dangerous in some hands."
Elina stepped back closer and leaned against Daisy's front. "You aren't a danger, though. I've heard stories of those who were, but you're a kind soul." She tapped Daisy with her pen. "You are a cream puff, to put it mildly. Not the dangerous monsters I've heard about."
Daisy wrapped an arm around Elina and nuzzled the top of her head gently. "I'll take your word for it, but I like to think I'm a good person." She licked softly over Elina's head, just to enjoy the gentle cinnamon flavor. "And now I have another reason to hug you. This tastes nice." She went in for another, longer lick.
Elina squeaked at that but relaxed into it a moment later. "I guess that makes sense, but it's so odd. Will I just be cinnamon flavored forever?"
"Until a mutagen changes that?" Daisy inclined her head. "Like any other mutagen, really. I bet most don't specifically go after your scent, but if one gave you a fur coat, you'd probably smell like that until you asked me to make you cinnamon-flavored again." Daisy pondered, fingers curling and flexing. "When I see Theo, we have such experiments to do."
Elina shook her head. "Just keep it subtle. You don't need anymore of a spotlight than you already have." She returned to her desk. "Fortunately for you, I think this is a nice scent, so I'll just keep it." She scribbled new notes busily. "This has been an extremely productive day. You are dismissed, thank you."
