A Perceptive Brew

In the last chapter, Embarking on a journey to Ignis's volcanic realm, Mister Ryu and companions explore the majestic chambers and vibrant history of the Fire King's domain. The atmosphere takes a tense turn when Mister Ryu, exhibiting hesitation, requests permission to acquire powerful artifacts. Ignis, intrigued yet wary, questions the source of Mister Ryu's knowledge and the purpose behind seeking "The Crystal of Furnace" and "The Last Ash." Mister Ryu, choosing his words carefully, cites extensive study of ancient texts. The air remains fraught with uncertainty as Ignis seeks to understand the true intentions behind Mister Ryu's quest for these potent relics, casting a shadow over their otherwise awe-inspiring adventure.

"The stuff you're asking for isn't easy to get, and if it falls into the wrong hands, it could cause trouble. Mister Ryu, I know you're strong and all, but I need to know why you want these special materials. It's important to make sure you're using them responsibly and not messing things up," Ignis stated plainly, a mix of concern and curiosity in his voice.

"I understand that these relic materials are rare and pose a danger, but in this region, aren't they quite abundant? You introduced yourself as the Fire King and the ruler of this area, so I assume these materials wouldn't be of much use to you. By the way, just by looking at you, it seems like you're around the 70th to 77th Sky Island, am I correct, Mister Fire King?" Mister Ryu remarked.

Upon hearing Mister Ryu's comments about the specific island Ignis had reached, my curiosity about Mister Ryu's character and background heightened. As I pondered Mister Ryu's words, I glanced towards Ignis, who wore a frown in response, further complicating the situation.

As the tense atmosphere hung in the air, Mister Ryu's observation about the abundance of relic materials in the region and his speculation about Ignis's location on the Sky Islands added a layer of mystery to the unfolding conversation. Ignis, still wearing a frown, seemed caught off guard by the unexpected turn of inquiry.

Mister Ryu, sensing the complexity of the situation, maintained a composed demeanour and waited for Ignis's response. Ignis, after a moment of contemplation, spoke with a measured tone, "You are perceptive, Mister Ryu. The Sky Islands have indeed witnessed my presence, but the specifics of my ventures are not widely known. As for the relic materials, while they may be abundant in this region, their significance and potential misuse concern me greatly. I must ensure that anyone seeking them possesses noble intentions."

The revelation of Ignis's connection to the Sky Islands intrigued us, raising more questions about his past exploits. Ignis, despite his initial hesitation, began to open up.

"Mister Ryu, I'm curious about your deduction placing me on the 70th island. I took great care to conceal everything, even meticulously controlling my aura to its limits," Ignis inquired.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

"The herbal tea you consumed prior to our meeting provided me with clues. As a seasoned merchant, I possess a keen sense and perception for details. The specific herbs you utilized are exclusive to the islands," explained Mister Ryu.

“The devil is always in the details. You're correct in noting my proximity to that island, but I won't disclose any more about my ventures in the skies," remarked Ignis.

Ignis continued, "While the relic material may not have utility for me, I am still interested in understanding its specific uses and the precise location where it will be employed. I would appreciate a detailed explanation of everything."

Mister Ryu approached Ignis and whispered something in his ear. My curiosity piqued, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of anger at being excluded from their conversation, a surprising surge of emotion that caught me off guard. After a while they bot went inside a cave leaving me behind and came back with Mister Ryu’s bag full again.

"Why was it necessary to leave me alone here? What was so important?" I questioned them.

"Miss Ember, things should unfold at their own pace and not be rushed. You'll learn everything when the time is right. What I'm doing is for your own good; why don't you trust me on this?" said Mister Ryu, wearing a reassuring smile.

As they emerged from the cave, Mister Ryu and Ignis shared a glance, their silent communication leaving me even more bewildered. Ignis, breaking the silence, addressed my concerns, "Miss Ember, your companions are working towards a common goal that involves delicate matters. Trust is crucial, and you will be informed when the time is appropriate."

Despite the reassurance, a lingering sense of frustration clung to me. I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the situation than they were letting on. However, with a resigned nod, I acknowledged their intentions and decided to focus on the present.

The journey through the volcanic labyrinth continued, and as we ventured deeper, the caverns revealed more wonders and challenges. Ignis, now with Mister Ryu's bag laden with mysterious relics, led us through passages adorned with ancient carvings and vibrant crystals.

"Isn't it time you share the details about the temple we've been eager to learn about?" I inquired.

"The temple you seek is not here; it's on the other side of the volcano and is under protection," Ignis stated.

"Protected?" I questioned, seeking clarification on the temple's safeguarding. Ignis nodded solemnly, his eyes reflecting the gravity of the situation.

"Yes, Miss Ember. The temple holds ancient secrets and artifacts of great power. To prevent misuse or unwarranted intrusion, it is guarded by formidable forces. Only those with noble intentions can navigate the protective barriers," Ignis explained, his words carrying a weight that resonated through the cavern.

Determined to unravel the mysteries that lay ahead, we pressed on through the volcanic labyrinth. Ignis, with a measured pace, led us towards the other side of the volcano, where the temple stood amidst the fumes and whispers of the volcanic vents.

"I must caution you that the temple is guarded by the Flames' Guardians, the Salamance tribe. They are a group of salamanders. Your task is to render the salamanders unconscious without causing harm. Once accomplished, proceed with your objectives within the temple and ensure you depart within 30 minutes, or consequences will follow," Ignis continued, emphasizing the need for caution in our dealings with the guardians.

"Why unconscious?" I questioned, puzzled by the specific instruction. Ignis, with a knowing look, responded.

“The reason is because of their king Salance……...”
