33 - Party planning

The next morning Anne woke to find she and Abby were the last up, the others must have all been very quiet speaking out as neither of the girls had woken. She was mortified to find she was snuggled up against Abby. "Do you think they noticed?" She asked once she had woken her girlfriend.

"You mean one of the three who don't already know? At the moment I'm thinking it might be easiest to tell them." Abby said with a yawn. "They've been pretty accepting of Susan."

Anne got a slightly panicked look in her eyes, "I don't think I'm ready, maybe after Christmas?"

Abby thought back to Jo's story about her last girlfriend. "Yeah, we can wait. We're all alone just now though…" she leaned in for a kiss.

After breaking apart Anne panted, "They could come up at any time though."

"Better be quick then!" Abby kissed her again, this time slipping her hand under her top and across the smooth skin of her back.

Anne gave a little, "Hmmm" and committed fully to the kiss, Abby's hands wandered, slipping down to cup her bum causing Anne to tense up.

'Damn!' Abby thought and moved her hand back to safer locations. Once she did she was pleased to feel the warmth of Anne's hand on her back, skin on skin.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Too soon Anne broke off the kiss, "come on, I can smell bacon." She said, dragging her girlfriend to her feet.

When they got to the kitchen Jo gave them a knowing look, "I was just about to come get you two lazy bones. We've been up long enough to do the crosswords."

"Normal and cryptic!" Kelly called out, as if she had done the bulk of the work.

They sat at the breakfast bar, Pete and Jane vacated their seats having finished breakfast ages ago. Anne poured them both muesli and ladled honey flavoured yogurt on top.

"The girls all seem to be looking forward to ice-skating with you Anne, have you set a time?" Jane asked, mainly because she knew she hadn't.

"I have to phone the rink, make sure there isn't any large booking I need to avoid." Anne replied after she finished chewing her mouthful of cereal, "But I was thinking we could grab a burger and skate after if the evening is free?"

"Evenings on Saturday is ice dancing, they put on music and disco lights." Mae said, then when everyone gave her a surprised look she quietly said, "I quite like skating."

"Erm, Mae, do they allow newbies on during ice dancing? Cos' I've never skated in my life. I mean, I'm keen, I want to try but… " Jo asked, not wanting to spoil people's fun.

"Yeah, they don't care. There's less little kids there too so it's probably a better time to learn."

"And I can hold your hands." Susan said with a smile.
