"The Tenyi" Ch 65. Battleguard αlpha Layo

He raises his hand up, his eye glows as spatial slashes come out causing a box to form around Red, Luna, Hiro, Elias, Ame, and Sole.

--- Chapter 65 ---

Sole: Where am I?

He looks around, its like a clone of where he was, but no one else is around, at least he thought he was alone.

Doctor: You're within a subspace of reality.

Sole: Then I assume you're my opponent?

Doctor: No, he is.

The child with dead eyes walks forward.

Doctor: This is battleguard αlpha Layo. Otherwise known as Bal, for short. He's my best test subject, apart from Astra.

Sole: Well I killed that brat, and I will do the same to you and this one.

He says as his muscles grow into his stronger form.

Doctor: I see. Then we will just have to CRUSH you ahahaa! You, disposed of my beloved creations, and now you will pay.

The Doctor pulls out a tablet like device and begins pressing buttons.

Doctor: Bal, combat mode engage!

4 vials of green liquid come out of the space between his neck and shoulder. The green liquid drains into him before they disconnect and fall. He looks up at Sole, eyes glowing green. A green energy shield goes around the doctor.

Doctor: Now, go have some fun.

The kid bursts forward at immense speeds, clenching his fist for a punch. Sole unwavered brings his hand back and punches him, but as he does the kid disappears. Soles eyes gravitate behind him, surprised. The kid goes to punch Sole again. Sole does the same, disappearing and punching. The kids eyes shift back as a green energy barrier is created, nullifying Soles punch.

Sole: Not bad. You withstood one punch from my otherworldly body. Not many can say the same. Cherish your survival, before I strip that luxury away.

When sole finishes speaking, a burst of green energy comes out of the Bal, as it swirls, forming into something with a blade like appearance. As its swirls around it slashes across Soles' chest, as it bursts with blood.

Doctor: Good GOOD! MORE BAL! MORE!

Sole coughs up some blood, holding his wound. The wound begins to glow and heal over.

Sole: You will surely regret that, child.

Sole disappears reappearing next to the child, punching him, but being blocked by another shield, but Sole is not done yet. He keeps increasing his speed beyond his previous, allocating all his energy into speed. The barriers can keep up and he continuously punches the kid. The kid keeps jumping around and into the air, but when he does, Sole appears and kicks him into the ground, continuing his assault.

Doctor: I see, so this is the power of an E.X.O.D.U.S. … Extraordinary!

Sole stops, the kid tumbles. He looks at the doctor.

Sole: That name, how do you know it?

Doctor: How does anyone know anything? Research.

Sole: Then you know E.X.O.D.U.S. doesn't exist. It hasn't for many years.

Doctor: Well, there's always exceptions. I think the data speaks for itself.

Sole: You're incorrect.

Doctor: Why so, defensive? If it's untrue, then it must be proved. That IS how science works after all. So prove it, Sole Sataro.

Sole summons forth his blade, and attacks the barrier around the doctor, Each attack stronger than the last. Each impact creates a shockwave, and cracks in the ground. But the barrier is still entirely stable. Sole takes deep breaths, before a flash of green is seen, his eyes go wide as he stumbles into the barrier. His back slashed up with deep wounds. The wound begins to heal as he disappears. The kid turns around, and stairs him down, with his black soulless eyes.

Doctor: Ahahaha, so amusing. Bal, forgo your defense, and finish this.

Bal nods, the doctor's barrier begins to shrink into nothing. Green energy oozes out of Bal. Multiple green skeleton arms form, wielding large green blades. The kid readies himself, bursting forward at speeds not even comparable to his previous speeds. The blades release a flurry of attacks upon Sole, sending Sole on the defensive. Some blades are slicing through, so fast the wounds aren't healing fast enough. He gets sent flying back. He stabs his blade in the ground to catch himself. He picks himself up and looks up to the kid, but the kids are already in front of him, and stabs forward into his chest, near the middle of the sternum for a fatal blow. But the weapon stops. With the forces his shirts are shredded into fabric strips. The kid and Sole realize why the weapon had not pierced. He stabbed into the dead center of Soles' lucky charm.

Sole: Heh, what do you know. It really is lucky. Now, how's that forgoing defense going for yah?

Bal’s eyes widen as he begins to move back, but sole rips his blade out of the ground and with incredible speed slashes at him, cutting through like butter. What remains of Bal flies over the place and tumbles. He angles the blade towards the doctor.

Sole: Your turn.

The doctor smiles, throwing the tablet aside. He takes off his lab coat, revealing weird flaps cuts and incisions all along his arm. Holding his lab coat, one of the flaps opens up revealing an eye, then he suddenly disappears as it glows. Sole Quickly turns around shocked. The doctor is standing there and he covers Bal’s remains with his coat.

Doctor: Thank you for your service, battleguard αlpha Layo.

Sole: His movements. That wasn't speed! It couldn't have been. Even I couldn't even track his movements. Teleportation maybe?

The Doctor turns to face him.

Doctor: Now, shall we begin?
