"The Tenyi" Ch 12. The report and the 1000 arms

Red: Luna! Come on, we got to talk to the master!

Red says with bruises and lumps given by the master. Luna collects herself and puts on a smile.

Luna: Right! Coming! Red, I will get stronger, so you don't have to take that form to save me. Never again.

--- Chapter 11 ---

Master: So you were attacked.

Ray: Y-yes sir.

Mica: They called themselves the tenyi

Master: …

Ray: Is s-something wrong master?

Master: The Tenyi are a renowned guild of murderers. The guild is divided up into squads. The squads usually act independently, but they report to their guildmaster.

Ray: Who is their guild master?

Master: That is unknown, anyone who has seen him either works for him or is dead.

There is a group silence temporarily. Red and Luna sit in the back in silence as all they really did was beat up this chick. Their opponent didn't tell them much.

Orson: One of them had these on him master.

Orson shows the sheath and handgun to him.

Master: Sigh. Of course they have magic items.

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

He looks at this younger gentleman sitting alone in the corner of the guild hall. He seems to have his head propped up on his hand, writing in his book.

Master: Ryan, I require your assistance.

The young man stops writing, but stays in the same position. His eyes drift up to look at them. He closes the book and places the pen in a divet in the book. He stands up and walks over to him. They lay the magic items out on the table.

Master: You know what to do.

He held his book out to the items.

Ryan: Analyze.

The book glows a bright yellow. As the glow came to a stop, the book changed to a much older book, labeled “1000 Arms”. The book pops open in his hands, it rapidly flips through pages. The pages it stops at have sketched versions of the items with their names.

Master: So they're part of the 1000.

Orson: What’s the 1000 about?

Ryan: Powerful and ancient magic items.

Orson: They didn't seem so powerful to me.

Ryan: The 1000 almost have a heart of their own. They can only be used by their master, and their power is determined by their connection with their master. It appears he had a weak connection to Folta and Cera.

Master: And if a user and item become in sync, where their connection is perfect, the items become so powerful they can have world changing effects, as well as an untapped hidden ability.

Orson: …

Master: I will add these to the vault.

Orson, Ray, Mica, Red, Luna: Vault?

Ryan: Yes sir.

Master: Luna, will you accompany me?

Luna: Yah, sure. Why does he want me?

They proceed into the winding halls of elune. They arrive at a staircase downward. The walk down into a stone hallway. Statues align the hallway, people she hasn't seen before. At the end of the hallway, stands a large stone door. To the left of the door is a statue that looks like the master. And to the right is a statue but it's covered with a white cloth and it looks like there are two people in one statue. Luna hadn't noticed this before, but the master lifts his hand to the door, on the back of his hand is a red circle. It glows for a second, followed by the door glowing and sliding open. Inside is a bright room japanese style room. There are pedestals around the room, in the center is a small japanese style table. As they walk in, on the side walls appear to be sliding doors, open to a very bright green grassy area, but it's too bright that it's just out of focus. The farside of the room has a three steps up to a ledge. There is a sword stuck in the ground up there.

Luna: Where are we? We just went downstairs but now were in an open room.

Master: This room is the vault. Where elune keeps most of its prized possessions.

Luna: Why bring me here? I just joined. This seems like something sacred.

The circle on the master's hand glows again, and two pedestals rise from the ground, to which he places the items. The master walks over and sits at the table, and begins pouring tea. He motions for Luna to sit. She nods and sits down, the master pours her tea as well.

Luna: Also why did you let me in for no reason. I don't get it!

Master: Tilda didn't tell me to let you in

Luna: I'm confused.

Master: Tilda only told me what time you would arrive. Truth is, I've been waiting a long time.

Luna: Waiting? Why?

Master: It was your fathers final request.
