Prologue
Now, to understand the race war, you need to know how it began, and what led up to it. There was already a division between the Exceed, different ideals, and aspirations. Each race had a leader, or king of sorts. The Exceed were the closest race to the Arians, so their leader was the last Arian. The last Arian had 9 kids, which he created from himself. Seven of them were the races, possessing the different powers of the world, but the other two were arians. Arians don't have a gender. Studies show they possessed both reproductive organs, but also had the capability to reproduce asexually. Although as they grow, they tend to lean towards a male or female viewpoint, meaning young Arians are essentially genderless, while the last Arian, having lived a immense amount of time, developed a more male stand point. The last Arian tried to stabilize the exceed, his kids would aid. The Arian’s names were Inariel, and Zariel. Zariel spent their time monitoring one group, and Inariel the other. While monitoring each group they got to know them better. Both sides showing their ideas, to the siblings. They both understood their reasoning, and sympathised. Zariel learned more and more from them, and concocted their plan. Zariel had always been incredibly intelligent. They went to their Arian sibling, and conversed about there now separating viewpoints. Inariel taking on a more saintly role while Zariel more devious. Inariel had watched their sibling grow more and more sinister. Their father is growing old, as the goddess is dead, Arians have a life expectancy rather than immortality. Studies show that Arians that are dieing start to lose their glow, according to ancient scriptures being deciphered. Inariel had grown worried of Zariels misconduct and went to tell their father. As they walked in, they witnessed Zariel skewer him with dark metal rods protruding from his arms. Their father fell, and Inariel questioned him. Zariel didn't answer, and instead a black symbol appeared on his chest, his skin turned human like, his hair black, red eyes glaring. Arians don't use clothes, as no reproductive organs are exposed, and they are limited, but he gained black clothing, with the shirt having a deep V neck, exposing his symbol. A symbol of which is the first insignia, marking him the first demon. Everyone's magic had used raw mana at the time, but he turned black. Inariel ran fast not saying a word, they went immediately to their people. They consoled them, before they went to find their other siblings to inform them. But alas, they were all murdered. Inariel in rage and mourn, their hair grew long turning a bright blonde, gaining normal skin tone, with bright yellow eyes. She became the first angel, and thus started the race war.
Race War
Many details of the race war were lost, either from the burning of diaries, or other means of information destruction, but I have compiled a list I believe to be chronological to the best of my abilities. Now, lets begin. Following the split of the two sides, Zariel and Inariel shared their secret, causing their legion to transform into angels and demons. The war first started with them fighting by themselves, but before long they gathered foreign aid. Elves were the first to join. They joined on the side of the angels, giving them the advantage. Angels continuing their advance, they sided with beastmen. It was impressive, Zariels intellect keeping them from being decimated, like a chess master playing against an intermediate player with only pawns and a king. Zariel reached out to the Orcs, and they sided with them, with the promise of more land. Now Zariel had his rooks. The demons began to push back. This war started to take a toll on the land, so the other races were upset. Inariel convinced them to join her. She didn't like the wars, but is retaliating against the evil that was her brother. Now, the angels had the power from all races but orcs. Zariel was in check, and he smiled. He bit his finger, and cast his blood. It's rumored that he created the monsters of the world from his vile essence. The amount of monsters he made overpowered them completely. They were weaker but stronger in numbers. The angels and demons were at a complete standstill. This is when Inariel decided to use his power against him. She hesitantly bit her finger. From her blood sprouted seven incredibly strong heros. But these heroes have been in debate for a long time. Based on descriptions, they are believed to be the original Saints. The Saints being an incredibly powerful force of Insignia users. BUT because they are the original saints, with insignia, a demon trait at the time, it is believed she either used a demon or thousands of monsters for this experiment. With the seven saints they pushed back Zariels horde. Zariel, fascinated with his sister's move, decided to make seven monsters, of extreme power. Their names are forgotten in time, and are only referred to by the name of a sin that represents them. These monsters equalled the playing field, every confrontation led to the death of everyone but the saints. The saints were badly wounded but so was the monster. But due to both the saints and the monsters healing factors, their absence wasn't long. This has never been confirmed, but there are writings in demons script that Zariel had grown fascinated in the creation of stronger creatures, and even more so sentience. Some say he created sentient beings bent on their sin, some say he made sentient beings based on their racial attribute, and some believe both. But the original statement is believed to be true as it was Zariel who cursed his predecessors, and the queen to be exact. He created the seven virtues, seven unholy races. This is referred to some as the 8th race, despite there being seven in one, they are grouped as they are all undead. Zariel kept a tight grasp on his operations so other than the beasts and virtues, it is unknown what he did at all to be honest. Some battlers reported fast demons, that were stronger than normal ones, that had more power and they were lucky to be alive. As frustrating as it is, it's impossible to know. Supposedly any info about him that was written with intent on leaking it to his foes was burned. This was carved into the wall of a deep underground mine, in ancient demonic language, although there is reason to note the demons down there had gone clinically insane. The burning, if it's true, is believed to be a part of his awakening. Zariel and Inariel were reported to have all 7 powers, and multiple arcanas, being self reformed from arian. Their battle was reaching its climax, a final battle on the horizon. It was now they all began to prepare, crafting incredibly powerful magic items, otherwise known as the 1000 arms. Uther Pendragon has the largest collection, known as the royal 100. Zariel used dwarves to craft his own weapons, the dark arms, which are 50 weapons he used himself or gave to his high ranking demons. According to research, the dark arms are a part of the 1000 arms. In a climactic battle, the angels' side had won. Zariel was slain. Part of the reason he lost is one of his fearless advisors betrayed him and joined the enemy. With Zariel gones, the demons were practically defeated. The monsters went rampant, but luckily we had slain Lust, and the dwarves had captured Gluttony. And the demon that betrayed her kind had slain wrath. The demon, A powerful orc that had his men stolen from him, and the leaders of the races gathered. Inariel used her power, creating a new demi-plain. Together they forced the demon race into the demi-plain and sealed it. And it's been sealed ever since. The orcs returned in defeat, and accepted their punishment, which was enslavement. The angels made their own demi-plain and lived there, and had never since returned.

Notes
I'm sorry the info is jumbled, but it's all I could come up with. I researched hard. Read every book and document I could find, and tried to piece together a somewhat coherent story. For my next book I will write about the aftermath of the race war.
