Damien was sitting in a dark part of the forest. The Messenger had given everyone twenty-four hours to think over the two options they were given. During this time the training grounds and other areas created by the system would be closed.
Everything related to the starting village had shutdown. Even the mana creatures that roamed the forest disappeared. Damien wasn’t bothered by these changes. Right now, he was patiently waiting for a few individuals to arrive.
“Are you really going through with this?” A voice mentally questioned Damien.
“Of course,” he replied. “Lucifer's chosen is a great class, but it’s not a class that aligns with the path I want to walk.”
“Right, and do you know what that path is?”
“I know my path isn’t to be your chosen. Some people might like having the devil on their shoulder, but I’m not one of those people.”
“Since you don’t know what your path is, there shouldn’t be any harm in keeping the class I helped you obtain. I’m sure you’re planning on accepting the call. Abandoning your current class will make moving in the new world difficult. Doesn’t it make more sense to keep your current class until you can guarantee your safety? Or you should at least wait until you know what path you’re going to walk.”
Damien became silent as he thought over Lucifer’s words, but he didn’t change his mind after a few minutes passed. “This world places a great emphasis on an individual’s path. The majority of books I read from the library all touched on the importance of following your path. I will admit that part of the reason I’m doing this is because I find your voice disturbing. But another reason why I’m doing this is because I want to find my own path. If I continue with the Lucifer’s chosen class, I’m sure I will be powerful, but I will never find my true path.”
“Knowing your path is very beneficial, but it’s not something that’s absolutely necessary. This world decides to emphasize having a path, but there are other worlds with people that became powerful without knowing their path. Don’t believe everything you read. There’s no point in knowing your path if it makes you weak or dead.”
“I won’t change my mind.”
“Fine.”
Silence returned to Damien's mind, and he began pondering what his path would be. After some time passed, Damien sensed someone approaching him. Opening his eyes, Damien saw Nick, the young man who stepped forward to support him when he was being accused, walking toward him.
“Looks like we got away with it,” Nick said.
“Are you surprised?” Damien asked. “Everything was done secretly. Even if a few people became curious or suspicious, none of them would find any clues.”
“She isn’t here yet.” The worry in Nick’s voice was hard to miss. “Do you think she’ll show?”
“Aren’t you the son of Hades? Shouldn’t you be cold and serious?”
“How would you know what Hades' personality was like? Anyway, I only got some abilities related to him, so it doesn’t matter what he was like. I’m not him."
“Sure, sure.” Damien watched Nick pacing in front of him and occasionally looking around. “Take a seat and relax. Did you really forget that we all signed a contract?”
“Contracts can be broken. That includes magical ones.”
“We didn’t sign an ordinary magical contract. The contract we signed was backed by the system.”
“That doesn’t make it unbreakable.”
“Idiots. Only dumb humans from another world would actually think it’s possible to go against the system.”
Walking toward Damien and Nick was Jade's brother John. He gave Nick and Damien a look of disdain before he sat on the ground and closed his eyes. Damien and Nick shared a look of annoyance, but they didn’t respond to John’s behavior. Instead, they mimicked his actions and waited for the final person to appear.

After some time passed, the final person approached Damien and the others. It was a woman wearing a bloody red cloak with a hood that covered most of her features. With the identify talent Damien and the others had no problem verifying her identity. Before she could speak John was already on his feet demanding answers.
Evil Human Tier 1
“About time you got here. That wasn’t a normal Bloody Tempering Fruit tree. What happened? No, I don’t care. What I want to know is, where my fruit is?”
“Relax,” the woman softly spoke. “Although there were some changes, everything worked out in the end. Let’s all sit and have a pleasant conversation. After all we may not meet again for some time.”
“Give me my fruit and I’ll leave. I don’t plan to waste my time talking to you three.”
“I can’t help but be curious as to why you would even want this fruit. After all, someone of your status should have been given the teaching and nurturing necessary to choose a proper path.”
“None of your business.” John’s impatient expression morphed into a cold one.
“Either you didn’t get the class that you wanted, or you found out that you weren’t really suitable for your current path. Maybe you-”
“Give me. My fruit. Now.”
The woman chuckled and tossed out two bloody red fruits. The fruit was shaped like a human and was the size of the average person’s hand. The leaves at the top of the fruit looked like hair on a person’s head. Other than that, there were no obvious human features.
“There were some unexpected changes, and I was only able to get three fruits. However, that works out fine since only the four of us are still alive. Also, the fruits have been transformed into the Bloody Rebirth Fruit.”
The woman tossed a bag to Nick as she finished speaking. Nicks eyes lit up as he began examining the contents of the bag. Damien used his skill Lucifer Sight on the fruit the woman gave him.

“This is better than what I expected,” John said. “Alright, I’m leaving.”
John turned to leave without waiting for the others response. Nick was the next person to leave. He thanked the woman and said goodbye to Damien. Damien gave the woman a final look and a nod before leaving as well.
“Are you sur you want to do this?” Lucifer asked.
Damien didn’t respond. Currently he was sitting in another part of the forest looking at the Bloody Rebirth Fruit. He had made all the necessary preparations and the only thing left to do was eat it.
“Well, I guess this is goodbye. Are you going to miss me?”
“Nope. I will miss some of your skills though.”
“Oh, any skill you like more than others?”
“Lucifers Deceit. It pairs well with my talents.”
“Noted.”
Damien quickly devoured the strange looking fruit and instantly felt the effects. Energy surged through his body causing it to heat up and throb in pain. The first thing he lost was his source. Damien wasn’t surprised that it was the first to disappear. According to Lucifer, it would be impossible for him to form a source without the system.
Next, Damien lost his titles. Then came his classes, skills, and stats. Although the pain Damien endured from the effects of the fruit were intense, it wasn’t more than he could bare. What bothered him the most was how empty he felt when he lost everything. Luckily the good came with the bad. With the loss of his classes came the loss of a presence that had been with him since he obtained the Lucifer’s chosen class.
“Lucifer? Lucifer are you there?” Damien tried to call out to him mentally. “Lucifer if you can hear me then answer me.” There was no response. “Looks like he’s really gone.” As soon as Damien let out a sigh of relief, he saw several system messages appear in front of him.
Congratulations! A divinity has offered you a blessing. Do you wish to accept it? Yes, or Yes
A feeling of trepidation came over Damien as he looked at the message. Since there wasn’t an option to decline, Damien decided to ignore the message. Sadly, things weren’t that simple.
Congratulations! You have received Lucifer’s Bond Blessing.

“I know you’re upset, but now is not the time for us to talk. Two hundred is the minimum number of stats you can get from the fruit. You should focus on obtaining as much stats as possible. Oh, and it’s good to be back. I hope you didn’t miss me too much.”
Damien clenched his fist as he did his best to push away the anger, he felt from the roaring laughter echoing in his mind. Taking a deep breath, Damien closed his eyes and took Lucifer’s advice. He would focus on the fruit first and deal with the devil later.
