Thanks to the recovery pills, Tianyu made it safely back to the Pagoda, where he swiftly fell asleep.

As he entered the Pagoda, one of the formations that were marked into the wall activated and started to glow a bright green, sending waves of spirit power towards him as he slept.

Meanwhile, in the Qin Family compound.

"Enough!" bellowed out the family head, silencing the room. "You saw with your own eyes what happened. Even after you had been taking his resources for your grandson, he has still raised himself to the peak of the Foundation Realm!"

The elder in question was quiet, a cold sweat building on his head.

"Six months is all it took for him to get there, and he had no resources or help from anyone along the way. This is unprecedented growth." the family head continued

One of the elders made his voice heard "We have to tie him down to the family! If he won't do it willingly then it must be done by force."

Another chimed in "How can we force him to be loyal to a family he hates?"

"The same way we got him here in the first place! We go after his weak spot," came the reply. "The two brats and his mother. If we tie them down, he has to stay for their sake"

The family head who was listening to all of this posed his question "How can it be done? They are loyal to the boy, not to us."

"Easy!" came his answer "The two brats can be taken advantage of. A young boy will fall for a pretty face, and a young girl longs for her hero. Pick a pretty servant who is loyal and make her have the boy fall in love. As for the girl, she will fall for one of the young masters of the family and become his concubine."

The family head is nodding along listening "And Li Mei?"

"How would she and the boy react if she were to give birth to another child of the Qin Family?" He smiles maliciously, "After the long speech he gave in this very hall, there's no way he would allow his little brother or sister to go through the same fate, is there? And we can raise the baby to be loyal."

Thinking for a moment, the family head decides. "Good. See it done. The boy must stay"

A chuckle is heard from the corner of the room which grabs everybody's attention.

"This will end badly," Zhao Ren finally makes himself known "You know how I would react if this was done to me?"

"Speak," the family head urged.

"If I was in Tianyu's place, I would simply kill you all." He said in a calm tone, which made the words come out even more menacing.

"Perhaps," the elder who came up with the plan had said "But the boy isn't you, he's just a weak pup."

Zhao Ren chuckles "You should be careful, Qin Dan, even a pup will bite when backed into a corner."

Tianyu stirs from his sleep, unsure just how long it has been. Strangely, however, he feels great. There are no aches and pains on his body, he is able to breathe deeply and all of his cuts seem to have healed. If it wasn't for the sorry state of his clothes, he would have thought that his fight with the giant silverback was a dream.

He checks outside and sees that it is nighttime, so he must have been out for a minimum of 12 hours. Taking some time to quickly eat some food, he once again replays the fight in his mind, reviewing what can be learned, what he could do differently, and what could be done better.

He sat down and went over his gains for the fight. First was injecting Qi into his weapon, which gave it much more power than before, allowing him to damage the tough skin of the beast.

Second, he developed a new technique, according to the system, which allowed him to use his Lightning Qi as a barrier. It may not be strong enough to be a true defensive ability, but using his Qi this way made him much faster and stronger than using it internally.

Lastly, he learned how to manipulate the Qi which was on his weapon. Instead of adding more Qi to make his hits stronger, once he reduced the amount of Qi, and instead made it thinner and sharper, it was able to cause much more damage.

With more practice in the area of Qi manipulation, he would be able to perfect this ability, which is the ceiling of the Foundation Realm. With a smile sneaking onto his face, Tianyu knew that he was very close to rising to the True Qi Realm, where he would be able to master using his Qi to perform attacks. He would also be able to use his Elemental Fusion Technique finally.

He looked over his new technique with the system, which prompted him to name the technique he created. Settling on the name "Lightning Mantle" he was pleased with it. He then chose his free technique training avatar and made it train this technique. It was a great all-around skill that buffed his speed and power greatly, right now it costs a lot of spirit power and takes too much time to activate.

Next, he went over his gacha and used both tickets.

He sat there stunned for a few moments. He was actually very pleased about these rewards. He had planned on seeing a real battlefield after reaching the True Qi Realm.

With the constant warring there would always be a battlefield not far away and he knew that the best way to get strong was to push yourself and throw yourself into life-and-death situations. A war was the perfect place for that.

He pulled out the bow and looked it over. It was a large horn bow made of lightweight golden-colored wood, with a dragon carved onto the upper nock. It had a red leather-wrapped grip and a red tassel adorned on the lower nock. He pulled back on the string, which was a struggle. When he let go, it sounded with a mighty TWANG. Smiling in satisfaction he put it away. This would be a great asset, especially when he learns how to shoot from horseback.

Looking over his other reward, this is what he was most excited about. It was his first skill, which is different from a technique. Using a skill requires you to have enough spirit power. It can be used instantly and as many times as you want providing you have the spirit power.

The reason Tianyu was so happy about getting a regular farming skill, is because it doesn't require a large amount of spirit power, so he can maintain this for a very long period of time already. After he uses all of his spirit pills, which he had been saving for when he reached the True Qi Realm, his spiritual power would improve massively.

Not only would he be able to cause as much rain for as long as he wants anywhere he goes, but he could infuse his own Qi into the rain with his Element Fusion Technique.

Every drop of rain that falls would be infused with lightning. It would act as a giant, moving stun gun.

With a smile on his face, Tianyu sat in the lotus position and cultivated his Qi and spirit through the night. Tomorrow, he would start clearing out the red zones in preparation for ascending to the True Qi Realm.
